There's no way Chelsea would sell us Willian after the events of the current transfer window. Their fans would storm Abramovich's house. I'd have Willian here without a second thought, but that's just never happening.Maybe he is not the sexiest option out there, but throw the 50m at Chelsea instead of Inter and test if they'll sell us Willian.

It was never about us needing another winger, it was always about the approach to games. If we play like last season, not persisting, pressing teams, we not going to get far. So far we playing allot quicker and that is why its shown a winger was not really needed, its about attitude, style of play, and approach. Not playing like a RW, LW, but playing like an attacking winger
Sterling? I mean he will not have enough space this season in City's team, and I think he could be available for approx 40 million. We need a RW, he is a RW, he is fast, and I think he would be very good for us. I know his relation with L'pool or City, but today I don't think there is any loyal player out there.

Not a chance City sell Sterling. He'll play plenty and he's too effective to sell to a rival for that kind of price in this market.
We picked him up when £50m was a monster transfer but to a rival now at his age, that would be silly.

I read somewhere he is told by Pep that he has to accept the reserve role this year, as Pep seems to prefer 3-5-2 (3-3-2-2) formation this year, with De Bruyne and Silva behind Kun and Gabriel Jesus. There is also Bernando Silva who maybe has the nod to Sterling, and Sane who is a better option for the left side. So, in my opinion, City could be tempted to sell him.

There's a young player in an academy somewhere across Europe, who'll get his chance this season and will have emerged as a target for top clubs by the next summer or two. We need to locate these players and get them signed before the hype kicks in.

Though looking at it, wouldn't a straight up swap of Sanchez for Sterling work? Arsenal would get a young and proven productive winger, save a lot in wages to use on Ozil or elsewhere.
I seriously doubt that. people forget in Pep's 3-5-2 both he and Sane can operate as put right wingbacks and as central strikers....I can't see him going anywhere any time soon.

I think I remember Robben saying he chose Chelsea over United as he thought that we weren't going to continue to be a top side. Pretty sure this was at the time when there were rumours of Ferguson retiring.
Obviously Robben is a quality player, but I'd much prefer a younger winger at the club.

Think Kenyon fecked that deal up for us, then left us and joined Chelsea and signed him for them. The player had visited Manchester and was all set to sign when Kenyon decided to officially bid lower than what was verbally agreed between the two clubs. Which in turn infuriated PSV and Chelsea took advantage.

It wasnt a waste. He wasnt playing for Wolfsburg a lot in the end and wanted out in Summer 2016, they didnt let him go and things went really bad. Then he moved last winter and got better wages at PSG. It was a better move than staying at Wolfsburg and not many clubs wanted him at that time. I doubt they will sell him before Lucas, Ben Arfa and Krychowiak. They still need some depth
True, but if they need to balance the books, I think they'll get their biggest bang for Draxler over the other players you've mentioned. If not, then yeah, I agree, the other players first.

The difference is in the final third , and in close control , Link up play, where sadio mane was so much better at. Moura's final ball and decision making is still very selfish , He can be an option but not necessarily any up grade.
Perisic is alteast more reliable in the final third. You never know what will you get with moura in crunch moments.
Definitely would take him, a talented English player which is a rarity in itself. City won't sell to us though.

Not sure he's a Jose type player but I wouldn't mind us getting in early before anyone else.
Those are fair points. Lucas is more raw, but also has the better ability to run through 4/5 players. We currently have players in Lingard, Miki and Mata that have good link up play and close control, but we don't have a RW who takes players on (unless Rashford plays there and he is imo wasted there). So getting Lucas would provide better squad depth and give us another option out on the right, that we don't currently have.
