We need an experienced goalscorer that can come in and do the job immediately, otherwise we're wasting the improvements that the others have made
At the moment Kane fits that profile, if the price is right then we should get him but not for silly sums, his wages will be high of course but his fee shouldn't be mega high, he's the top least risk free option

Arsenal are doing fine without an experienced goal scorer. I think we should follow their example. Focus on young, hungry players who will be here for years to come.
Kane needs no introduction to the PL. He’ll be hungry and he’ll finally be playing for manager who’s top class.
We’re not far away from being a PL trophy contender and a top class striker today is preferred to one who has potential to be a great striker someday. Think RVP.

They may not have a choice, Kane can walk away in a years time on a free, Spurs have to decide whether they can keep him or get something for him
Arsenal are doing fine yes, but we're not in the goals scored department, that's what we need and a striker we know will score goals is a better option for us than one who may or may not

If we can get him at a reasonable price - i would go for Kane which means we could put the rest of the kitty towards that CM EtH seemingly wants. But if they're both going to cost 100m, i'd go for the younger Osimhen as he's younger. Albeit i think Kane is probably highly suited to EtH's requirements - can drop deep, can lead the line, big/strong, can link play and can find Rashford with his vision etc. though i believe his lost a yard of pace.
The pace thing is a bit over stated IMO, he never was quick to start with, Sheringham was the same, and older when we bought him and he didn't do too bad
yeah if we also surround him with pace like Rashford (like he currently is with Son) etc. i don't see a big issue with it either as he was never truly blessed with exceptional pace. It was just an observation.
Osimhen for me, but partly due to age. Don't actually think we'll sign either though due to funds being an issue
He also looks a yard faster than a few years ago, as Conte has got him a lot leaner.The myth that he’s lost pace is up there with him being injury prone and a one season wonder.

Well he's patently not a one season wonder, he does seem to have had ankle issues but not this season I think, ankles are odd, I had a big problem with mine in my 20's, I'd just roll them over, twist and sprain them for no apparent reason, then it just stopped around age 30, no rhyme or reason for it, just started and then just stopped
I'm watching Napoli this weekend. Based on Youtube, Osimhen looks like Welbeck but better finisher (I think). Hard working, aggressive, very pacey, very athletic, very good off ball movement, but technically not superb.
People argue Kane is a one season wonder? How? He's had five 20+ goal seasons in the league.
How well did he play at the WC though?
My concern isn't Kanes form now, it's Kanes form in 2 years time. Is he a player that can keep banging in the goals well into his 30's, or is he a player that without that little bit of acceleration basically becomes a traffic cone. Ultimately we won't be getting much resale value if we do decide to flog him in a few years. So is he worth top, top dollar?
I'm not sure it's realistic, but apparently that's their stance... whether they'd risk losing him for free though, I honestly don't know. Levy is a hard one to predict.

The only case comparable to Kane's is Eriksen's. They didn't sell him until he had six months left on his contract. In fact, he had almost already signed for Inter to move there in the summer. He could have gone for a much higher fee if they had accepted to sell him during the preceding summer.
A lot might also depend on Kane himself, he wants and what Levy wants might not be the same thing. I don't see him going abroad TBH, Bayern won't want him and I can't see RM or Barca either, PSG maybe but doubtful, that only leaves Italian or English clubs
This is a tough one. Is Osimhen better than his stats? It looks quite average considering how Lukaku was able to steamroll Serie A but looked completely lost playing for Chelsea. I'm a bit worried about Kane's injury record but we've seen a lot of top strikers play well in their 30's recently.
This a myth. If Lukaku steamrolled Serie A, then he also steamrolled the PL during his Everton spell... And of course, then Osimhen is destroying Serie A. His stats are not average. They are far better than Lukaku's...

No doubt about that. He is getting better in front of goal... Very rarely will we see a good striker scoring less at 24+ years than he did earlier in his career. I think the finishing used to be his main weakness, but he is improving that very quickly...
Last year he scored 13 in the League and 26 in all competitions. (1 goal per 123 minutes) This year he is improving that ratio even more. Now standing at 1 goal every 102 minutes.
And more importantly, he is getting even better at his pressing and in the areal duels. He makes life a nightmare for defenders. Even the most physical ones... We saw that with Van Dijk, Smalling and last Friday with Bremer...

depends on the price tage. Kane has 1 yr left in his contract summer so he is pretty much gettable than Osimhen plus tottenham would probably out of UCL next season which will motivate Kane to leave.

RVP was the best signing because we won the league but if we'd failed then he would've been a waste. Kane is tempting at the moment because this is the weakest City and Liverpool have looked in a while so we might actually have a window where we can win the league. However, we're in the current mess simply because we went for short term singings.
Kane's fitness cannot be relied upon, especially transitioning into his 30s. He'll demand megabucks also.
Sign Kane to be our big money goal scorer and win trophies the next three years. We can take a punt on a cheaper option to be the number 9 who presses.
18 PL games this season, 37 last season, 35 the season before, a couple of seasons of high 20's and then 30+ a season prior to that - he's missed 5 PL games in the last 2.5 seasons, yeah his fitness can't be relied upon!!

whoever they are they'll almost certainly want to make a statement signing, and we need a striker so what better statement to make than that?
