Osimhen age and value long term.
Tbf he's currently winning the poll against Kane, a player most people here will have seen a lot more of. Hardly that overlooked.
FFS,we need a goalscorer not a playmaker!!! Sancho, Antony,Bruno, Erikson and shaw create enough...we need someone who would open up space and create chances and shots in the final third...not firmino pro
I’m a huge fan of Kane, but I think Osihmen fits in with ETH’s style more. He offers energy and constant pressing from the front and elite heading.

I can see great arguments for both:
Kane:
- Known entity in the league
- Don’t agree with census that he’s already on the wane
- Would benefit being at United as, with the objective improvement in our pressing, he’s likely to not need to do as much back tracking as he does at Spurs
- Can see him replicating Benzema/ Lewandowski and being effective to 34/35
- Would however cost a lot considering the age (I know it’s a bit contradictory to the point above)

- Absolute unit
- Goalscoring pedigree
- Would cost a fortune
- Longer term prospect and less of a stop-gap
- Risk due to need to adapt to the league
I think comparing the two though, that Osimhen would be the better investment for the team long-term.

Proved what? Not a good enough goal scorer? Not reliable interms of fitness?
He doesn’t have a goal scoring pedigree. That’s a myth. The guy never scored more than 20 goals in his career.

Typically you take minutes into account when judging goalscoring. And Osimhen's rate of returns have been exceptional.
If you don't, you're just criticising him for injuries twice over.
Been watching serie A for ages, I know his strengths. I rate him not as highly as others. He’s not gonna find easy here. Trust me. Some strikers are not just suited to some clubs. To me, he’s a perfect striker for Chelsea. I consider him drogba lite. Kane suits us to the ground. More of a footballer, more of a goal scorer. In the mould of Rooney + Van persie.

Kane for me. I don't think some people appreciate just how good a goalscorer this guy is. Since his breakout season, the lowest tally he's got in all competitions for a season is 24 goals. No other available option on the market offers a guarantee of goals quite like that.
He's scored at every level and wouldn't need any adjustment to the league. It would also mean taking the best player off a domestic rival who have finished above us a fair few times in the last decade.

Speak for yourself. Grow up and try to have a mature conversation. Just because someone has a different opinion than yours doesn’t mean they haven’t watched him. I watch Serie A as regularly as premier league and been watching for years. So keep this childish reasoning to yourself. And I still think he isn’t a good fit for us.
Oshimen is rapid. I will always prefer a faster striker to a slower one. Younger as well, which is good going forward. The only negative would be his history of injuries.

Obviously Kane, he has at least 4 years left at the top level, he doesn't rely on pace and plays every game for years now, scores and creates at an incredible rate, in the PL. He's as close to a guaranteed success as you can find.
My reasoning for Kane as well.
Signing Kane would be about 5 years too late given the fee Spurs would still command now.
Not seen much of Osimhen personally, but we know what we are gonna get from Kane.
Doesn't need cultural adaptation and we know he can score goals in the EPL, so I would expect him to hit the ground running.
So yeah, my hope is to win the title asap, and I just see Kane as the surer bet in the short term.

Kane would likely be better for the team, but his age, cost and fitness make him unfeasible.

Napoli bought Oshikanlu for €70m. Can’t imagine how much they will ask.
I chose Kane as I think he'll be about half the price
if the same price I'd take Omishen I think, would rather a younger player to build for the future

Kane is better but voted Osimhen as there is no way Levy would sell to us, even with his contract situation.
Yeah I'm not convinced he would either,wonder if there is possibility we could get three years from Kane for immediate success then go and get Osimhen at maybe 27. What do people think to that idea?
Prefer Kane, have an RvP feeling about it. First season with us and we win PL.

Counterpoint would be that RVP was younger when he joined us than Kane would be and still only had one excellent season here. And Kane would cost a lot more than the £24m RVP did.
You can point to RvP as an example of an instant impact signing, but you could also point to him as an example of how quickly a player at that age can diminish. With the amount of other key players we have who will also be around that age, it is a risk.
And at the prices involved, we'd need whoever we sign to give us quite a bit more than RvP ultimately did.
Nobody can watch this game today see Bruno’s opportunity against Ederson and not want bloody Kane.

Could equally point to the ball whipped into a box where Eriksen and Bruno were the only players attacking it and call out for Osimhen, one of the biggest aerial and box threats around. Or look at Martial's pressing and wish for the much greater intensity you'd get from Osimhen.
Either would improve us today, because they're both far better than what we have.

Kane is a level or two above osimhen for me. Even with the age gap it's not even a close contest. Kane easily.

I don’t know what game you was watching but Martial was like 50% fit he did minimal pressing. He was there to occupy their defence when we was defending and to bring players in. I’m sure Kane presses better than Martial today.
I just don’t see other than age how anyone has a valid argument Oshimen is a better fit than Kane.
