Ole's press conference vs City

All the journalists are sitting there just itching to ask Ole some proper questions but have been told they can do no such thing.

Ole sitting there pointing his middle finger at them from under the desk with a grin on his face.

Ole is certainly getting some preferential treatment these days... that might help him but it no way helps United.

Did ole shag your girlfriend or wife by any chance?? The hate you spew at everything ole says however innocuous the comment is points to a deep rooted dislike ofbthe man himself. So much negativity isn’t good my friend.

If he did would you even care?

Not sure why people care so much if people dislike what he says. You think it was okay he basically said "lindelof better make himself available even if he's unfit"?

Yes I dislike the aura ole gives off in press conferences, in game, and in interviews. I don't like what he says or how he acts, and I think I'm free to dislike a person.

If the board was afraid to bring in Conte, the tea leaves are easy to read. Ole will finish the season, or until it is obvious top 4 is gone and then they sack him with an interim manager until the manager they are after becomes available. I think some people are going to have a very long season expecting Ole to be sacked every week.
i think pretty much this next game could show how it will be. A loss, especially a somewhat decisive one, and no manager change would point to that. A supposed 3 game window to prove he belongs and ends with 1 victory and a ronaldo solo striker at the death to save it from being 2 defeats out of 3 being good enough would show their intention.

But isn't that obvious and the case for literally any game in the prem? Our manager should be talking with confidence, bravado and authority. He is lowering fan expectations so when we inevitably get our asses handed to us he can say "we gave it a good go but didn't get the luck. Fine margins."
This is mental, pretty much every manager in the league talks like that about other clubs so as not to disrespect them.

I care that i see someone being consumed by hate. Even if the said person is unknown to me. So you are saying your hate ole is based in unquantifiable things like aura and demeanor and other such things rather than results. So would i be wrong if i say it’s an irrational hatred of the man rather than the manager.

Ah, yes. Time for the club to pick a manager who is proven and skilled enough for the job.

That’s gone well in the past 8/9 years, hasn’t it.

Very trustworthy our board and owners in that respect.

Unfortunately, we have missed the boat with getting rid of Ole this side of 2022 now.

It doesn't mean we should stop trying though just because it is Ole, who is clearly the least experienced and dare I say talented of the three managers post SAF. The previous two managers were certainly more successful and won us trophies with lesser players.

Our board and owners are complete garbage when it comes to the football side of things, we all know this but when SAF pointed them towards Moyes and giddy fan response drove them to Ole it's not solely on them in my opinion. LvG and Jose for me were too late in their respective (very good) careers but I certainly would not give up on trying to find a better manager than what we currently have.

It's the settling for what we've got (because of the past player) and just hoping it gets better is what pisses me off the most. Anyway yes you are probably right, I can actually see Ole staying the full season at least but I still look forward to him leaving whether it be sooner or later.

I don't think I'm being consumed by hate, it's having no effect on my life whatsoever what he says in a press conference or me disliking him. People like you seem to think just because you dislike something that you're consumed by it, don't worry bro, I'm not.

You're the one using the word hate, not me. I used "dislike". I dislike him as our manager and most of the things he says/does surrounding it. If he was sacked a few weeks ago I wouldn't give him another thought. Unfortunately he wasn't.

Is it irrational that I dislike what he says/does? Maybe? I don't really care. I see a direct link between him being a bad manager and our club playing horribly.

Maybe a few years after he's sacked and if I'm still annoyed by his consistent grinning for no reason I'll let you know if I dislike the man or the manager.

You ever been with a girlfriend where she may have said/done something a million times and it's all good but one day you wake up and the same things starts grating like nails on a chalk board constantly? No rational reason for it, it just happens. It's a good sign that things are going south. People including myself feel that way about Ole.

I’m past defending Ole and calling for him to stay now but unfortunately, I think we are about 72 hours too late to think about sacking Ole.

Because our club is so badly run from a football perspective, we slept and missed the boat, even if we agree or disagree about whether Conte is the right man for the job.

The decisions of the board so far, whether it be through Fergie or the delirium of the fans, have been awful and purely show how bad they are at running a football club. Picking Moyes because Fergie said so, or Ole because the fans got excited should not be something a club of our stature does.

Such a tired argument. LVG, Mourinho and Moyes were not managers anywhere near the top of their game when they arrived at United and none of them completed their desired squads before their departures. Even so though two of them still managed to win more silverware than our current one in less time in the job.

I’m not sure what your point is. They were all poor appointments with hindsight available.

As was/is Ole.

Moyes was at the top of his game though, for what it’s worth. Which is exactly why he shouldn’t have got the job in the first place. He’s back at the top of his game again now but I’ll guarantee he either won’t get another job with a ‘top 4’ club or if he does, he’ll fail massively.

"work hard and suffer" - it means you have to put in effort and feel the burn not just show up like we're fecking United and expect the points. The league isn't like that anymore, it's not 1998.
The league has never been easy tbh. Just that Man Utd were so good in the PL, it made teams scared from the get go

Some of the comments are absolutely embarrassing in this thread. Our fan base is literally full of spoilt muppets.

How do you expect him to answer most of those questions? I think a few need to just look at themselves and how their interpretations are changing based on their opinions on our current state. His press conference answers were completely fine and it's obvious he didn't mean anything bad by the Lindelof comment, he's just purely stating Lindelof seems good to go, maybe not 100% but this is a Derby and a pivotal fixture so you expect him to want to play. People are literally just clutching straws now and it's painful.

So Ole thinks United have had a good week since the 0-5 humiliation at OT at the hands of our biggest rivals. Let's see here:

3-0 win against a poor Spurs side who then replaced their manager (with Conte who we should have snapped up).
Played poorly against Atalanta and required some last minute brilliance from the GOAT to rescue a point. Group still in the balance with a game away at Villareal still to come.

Sorry Ole, you are a fraud. Get out of this club.

I cannot see any activity beyond what you post on the caf here so cannot comment on how you seem to be out in the real world. But if i extrapolate your acvitvity on the caf to the real world, i imagine someone who is haggard and drunk and stalking random strangers on the streets shouting “oleout” and “how dare he ever smile after that defeat”.

Sadly nothing he says will help him with results like this.

See what you do.

In order to defend him you have to make a positive interpretation of a stupid answer so he doesn’t look like a fool. The reason some supporters react is because his track record with rushing injured players back to play is abysmal with often following negative consequences. Maguire. Rashford. Varane. So his answer is perfectly in line with how he uses to do in these situations and therefore probably the opposite of “completely fine”.

Yeah i can understand that if you had to put up with ole every waking moment of your life. But he is the manager of United and not someone who wakes up next to you every morning. Unless this is ole’s wife’s secret caf account. Is that you Silje???

You think battering Spurs 3-0 away in our form wasn't a brilliant result?
And salvaging a draw midweek was very positive too. The champions league isn't easy pal!

I was much more concerned with 1 point at home from Everton and Villa, battered by Liverpool, losing to Young Boys etc etc.

If you're going to write off every win as "they were poor innit" you might as well just disappear now.

Salvaging a draw against Atalanta in the last minute is a good result  .Oh how standards have fallen.

Atalanta are a decent side. We don’t have a god given right to destroy every team in the group stages of the CL, you know.

Apparently we've picked up form based on just 2 games in which we didn't exactly play particularly well.

Have the standards ever been lower for a manager?

Emphasis on the word result. 2-2 draw away is a good result in Europe. Obviously the performance was shocking.

Over the last few weeks virtually every British sports sections has been questioning Ole's tactics, lack of style of play, coaching and handling of Donny/Sancho, with heavy use of the phrases out of his depth/out of ideas. Multiple articles have gone on about him clinging onto the job by his fingernails thanks to Ronaldo.

Find a UK press article from this season praising his management, coaching or tactics and I'll find 10 that slate them.

Stop with your bullshit conspiracy nonsense.

We're Manchester United. We should be dealing with "decent sides" all day long. Sure, sometimes they might get plucky results, but it seems to me we were the ones who got plucky results against Atalanta in both matches.

It's really not. Our position in the group is still very shaky and we could very well not qualify. A win was of the utmost necessity, but I guess these days even qualifying for the knockout stages is massive accomplishment and I guess the EL would be considered a positive.

Being Manchester United doesn’t entitle us to **** all. That’s one thing the last 8 years should have taught you by now.

The only thing the last 8 years have taught me is that this club has been turned into a joke by an incompetent management.

Hence why “being Manchester United” entitles you to **** all.
It certainly entitles me to want a better manager and better performances after spending 500 million, doesn't it?

It doesn’t entitle us to smash teams like Atalanta away in the CL.
You call expecting a win when it is desperately needed equivalent to "smashing" a team? What are you on about?

Avoid defeat in your away games and win your home ones to qualify is a common and effective way to qualify.

I would take your head our of your ass and have a look at other leagues occasionally.
This Atalanta side are decent, we were losing and rescued a draw last min. So yes I would say that's a decent result.

Well then you're pretty dumb. Congrats on being an asshole after whining that I'm being mean to ole
