Football planning is a foreign concept for Woodward and the Glazers. If they're all proactive and not reactive, at the very least, they wouldn't have renewed Ole and Phelan as the latest. That's before mentioning the trail of failure created by their reactive approach. So say we lose to Watford and that is enough for the board to decide to make a change? With games against Villareal and Chelsea no less straight after, they're hardly building a platform for a new man to hit the ground running.
New manager swim or sink situation is less of concern right now. Stopping the rot of current management and hopefully getting a good manager is what matters the most.
