Interestingly this tweet should confirm that Neville doesn't give a damn about United, he can pretend all he wants but he lost all credibility in my eyes.

I couldn't agree more.

That tweet alone is confirmation that Gary Neville is a twat.

That's the key for me, I can accept the bias but keep it to yourself if you know that you can't be honest which is what the tweet asked him and he answered never. He answered "never" to someone asking him to share his honest opinion!
He's basically a politician at this point.

Maybe we should just accept and try to relax about this! I am giving up seriously about that silence from the club as it seems like everything just working normal. I think we will be sadly watching Ole and his staff again at Watford and our away fans cheering for him.
Maybe they think if they keep there head down all of this will go away and people will just forget that Ole and his coaching staff are shite.
On the other hand, being sent to Norway with a fishing rod in the midst of a crisis, may also suggest that the end is nigh.

In other words no one knows what the feck is going on at our club and as usual it is a shitshow

Neville will never want a manager to be sacked, it’s not specifically about Ole. It’s a strange hill for him to want to die on, but there it is.

Yeah exactly. I've defended him previously for not publicly asking for managers to leave, because generally speaking I don't think pundits should really be applying their own pressures to the situation, however the fact he goes above and beyond to be heard over everybody else on United related issues should obligate him to at least be honest.

Otherwise stay quite and sit on the fence about the issues, if you can't allow yourself to be honest with the viewers. Don't insult the fans intelligence by questioning every single facet the manager is responsible for but avoid any questioning of the manager himself. It's embarrassing to be honest. The exchange with Micah Richards showed this in a nutshell.

Outside of the hundreds of managers that he sacked at Salford. Neville will never want a manager to be sacked as long as it doesn't affect him personally.

Which is just absolute nonsense considering he hires and sacks managers for Salford. Bizarre.

Didn't want to get annoyed about it all today but then you see stuff like this...

Our most prominent ex-player/fan is a complete wanker who is becoming part of the problem.

Yet here you are calling someone a wanker for sticking with their beliefs.

You're also missing the point. A lot of these people have been less than pleasant for a long time. Why give them the pleasure of hearing you say something?

What was the need for a holiday when our staff has basically been on holiday this season?
They are looking for an interim coach and they want that coach to take up training when he’s been appointed. The holidays is to give the board time to find the interim without Ole taking up training.

Neville is taking a moral high-ground position.

I suspect that privately he would admit that a change is probably needed. He just won't do so publically. At the end of the day, what does it matter? He isn't the one making the decisions at the club. if you honestly think those in charge would suddenly say "ooh Nev want's him gone? Hes's toast then - cancel my 10am"

Well, at least last few weeks completely exposed Ole as a person and blew up some myths around him.
1) He is bad at coaching. Well, most of us knew that.
2) He will do literally anything to stay here. No dignity whatsoever.
3) His famous man management is not that good after all, isn't it?

Like Rio he could take the polite way and say it's time to hand over to someone else but Neville has to stick to his guns no matter how big a numpty he comes across as. He wouldn't be seen as betraying a friend either.

I prefer to remember the player and not the pundit.

He's a manager who has reached his ceiling. Nothing more, nothing less.

What are these beliefs, exactly?

5. He’d have us the hardest-running team in the league.
6. We’d be a high-press team, aiming to win the ball back high up the pitch
7. We’d develop our abilities to play out from the back
8. We’d improve our set-pieces, both for and against

I am done with this club... no it's not a club, its a business with mates rates

Can we please, regardless of your position on ole (Im ole out) give up this absurd notion that he should 'walk' or 'resign.'

None of you would, its almost unprecedented at top clubs.

Just stop it, it's not happening and nor should it. The club foolishly gave a renewal with a mandate for a long term plan and if they want him out they pay him what they agreed. End of.

They are actually on Holiday.
It's unbelievable. "Go on lads take some time off and get out of shape even more, you've deserved it." :wenger:

so 'sticking with your beliefs' automatically disqualifies you from being a wanker? Need you to tell me what exactly the beliefs are as well.

If you think that someone saying to the most influential voice on United outside the club about the 'throwing in the towel' on something that has become this big and this humiliating is really that unpleasant and deserves to be met with a patronising response then we are really going to have to mind our p's and q's to get any kind of change aren't we.

Neville from what I've seen hasn't even acknowledged that the calls from fans for a change of manager are objectively fair and legitimate without even getting into any personal ties he has.

He's a manager who has reached his ceiling. Nothing more, nothing less.
I'd say he is a manager who has been operating in a job above his ceiling for a number of years and has done far better than the people who hired him or our fans had the right to expect.
Obviously, time for him to be moved on when the right replacement is identified. Really though the level of hatred that is getting aimed at him is pretty surprising.

The team and coaches are gassed and need a holiday a couple of months into a new season despite being one of the least hard working teams in the division. Please something else must be the reason.

fecking hell
Am i wrong? Scroll through older posts. How many here said that he will leave by himself? How many said that he is great man manager?
And i don't mean that "exposed" in a bad way. Just that lots of opinions about him were and are completely wrong.

Just think, when we return we have Sancho as a right wing back to look forward to…

"Never" ? Literally, never? No matter how bad it gets, it's Ole's job for all time, as far as Neville's concerned?

Unhinged.

If you asked Gary Neville? Hand on heart should you have been fired from your Valencia post or should you have been given more time he wouldn't be able to say "No I shouldn't have been sacked!" and say it with a straight face. He's admitted that he was out of his depth in management so what's the difference between that and admitting that Ole a mate of yours in management is out of his depth? It's so hypocritical.

Just that in itself is a sackable offense. The new United way, taking world class attacking talents and turning them into wingbacks.

so you're saying that the board hired him expecting him to do WORSE than he actually has? :wenger:
