New Athletic article by Daniel Taylor says that there’s no sacking imminent and Utd “hope it blows over

Why is he not sacked yet?

Surely Spurs and Norwich can't have better standards than us?

Blows over?! feck me this is getting ridiculous now. Just get rid of him for feck sake, barely any fans apart from trolls want him.

I'm sure Taylor is right about the Glazers hoping this blows over. But that doesn't mean that Solksjaers job is safe either. We've seen in football before that you're safe until suddenly you're not. The rot has set in and performances will only continue to get worse until he's sacked.

That’s exact what I’m expecting, City taking it easy second half saved Ole’s job as only another thrashing would have seen him sacked.

It's hard to even really get excited by a potential new appointment, when the actual football men at the club can't see with their own eyes how fecking shite we are, we've been outplayed by every single team we've played this season. We need the structure gutting from the board down to the manager, they're very obviously not capable of delivering us any kind of success and let sentimentality cloud their judgement. For all their faults, the Glazers have allowed a £400m spend under Solskjaer and they famously just let the football men to tell them what to do, whoever's telling them he's doing a good job deserves sacking as well.

I had the misfortune of being at the game today.

Our performance wasn't worthy of a Sunday League team. Ole has to pay for what our fans have had to see this season.

£400m later and this joker puts together disgusting performances like today.

He needs to be sacked immediately whether we have another manager lined up or not. Too many games and especially this season are unforgivable.

Last season, it will probably always be synonymous with the 6-1 shellacking against Spurs. But don’t forget Sheffield United winning at Old Trafford for the first time since 1973. Or Crystal Palace making it back-to-back victories at Old Trafford, having not managed a single one for the previous 30 years. One by one, the indignities have stacked up. Cardiff City had not won at Old Trafford since 1954 until Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho. Burnley, the same.

His legacy.

Sequences of bad results happen, performances matter, the performances have been horrendous, that is the thing, it is going nowhere he knows it, the club know it it is now a dance whether he resigns or the club sack him and gets his pay off, it has been up and down for 3 seasons, now this season with a brilliant squad it's a shit show, in the meantime we all suffer watching as they dither over a financial payoff, welcome to the new Manchester United. I think in 3-4 weeks time we will be mid table and in the europa league.

A few hours and not even a whisper? The great survivor is going to survive this one as well isn’t he?

 I really do despise every person in that boardroom who is fighting for Ole to keep his job. They are just blatantly disrespecting the fans at this point, they must have complete and utter contempt for the people who pay money to go watch the shit we serve up on the pitch every week.

What's worrying is we are now approaching the area where we start alienating our good players. Not a single player would want to be involved in this. If we continue to push them further out the door, we could have another huge rebuild on our hands and be another few years deep into this rut

To be fair this decision will likely be made over a board meeting on Monday so chances are we won't know until midweek.

However Taylor's article is a bit of a worry, you'd hope the feeling around the club would be that he's still on the brink after Liverpool and that surely can't have changed given what we seen today. But such is the incompetence of our board.

Exactly the performances have been worrying. You can lose a game through a bad referee decision, a bad deflection. Those players looks confused, lethargic and drained of any confidence they have. Like you I am not confident we will get through the CL group. The more criticism they get from his mates in the media, the more alienated those players will get.

Not until top 4 is gone, no. He's the Glazers' guy and they desperately want him to perform a miracle and turn this around. He's cheap and low maintenance, their perfect manager.
it won’t be cheap when we miss top 4…

It’s genuinely shocking to see that the club/board continues to endorse Ole and to think that recent performances are even remotely acceptable.

The standard they’ve set is genuinely bewilderingly and infuriating.

Mourinho was safe but was gone by Monday in a flash. What will happen is that Woodward will be tasked by the Glazers to talk to a few players, winners like Ronaldo won't tolerate what's happening, and he will give Joel and Avram the feedback and a decision will be made.

If they persist with this cowardly nonsense don't be shocked to hear murmurings of players like Ronaldo wanting out asap, the Goat won't tolerate being made to play Thursday Night Football by Ole.

The thing is no one knows whether Ole is safe or not because that decision will be communicated to Woodward from Florida. Even Woodward himself doesn't know as we speak let alone Gary Neville or some journalist.

Think that ship sailed when we missed out on Conte, think we've sealed our fate for this current United side.

The bottom line, of course, is that it remains a hypothetical question anyway. United are hoping this crisis blows over and there is no sign that Ed Woodward — now understood to be in his final weeks as chief executive — wants to remove Solskjaer as his final act before cutting his own ties.

Depressing. The club doesnt even care.

Are you even surprised? The top reds cheered and applauded him off the pitch like he’s won the CL. Why would the Glazers upset the very same fans that protested against them in the spring?

Micah fighting for United more than Neville or Roy. I felt Roy wanted to say it but he shied away

Micah said "regardless, this lack of standards shouldn't be accepted. Nuno Espirito Santo lost his job, I mean"

Norwich won their game, but sacked their manager.
Our standards are so low, it begs belief.

We'll tumble down the league because we are struggling to score more than one goal at OT.

The way they are so hesitant with sacking Ole it will make you believe he has just won the league and CL last season.

What a hopeless club. I can't believe our level of incompetence. The entire world sees we need an immediate action, but they are still thinking whether to take such decision or not.

I honestly don't know why I should care anymore.

We're about as willing to drop Ole for his crap performances as Ole is to dropping Shaw and Maguire.
