That being said these leaks are fair assuming they are true. If ole is really this bad at man management it literally nullifies the single thing most of us gave him credit for. He's been awful at everything else a manager is supposed to do. So if these are true I'm glad they're out in the open so people can't pretend ole was treated unfairly or didn't deserve to be yeeted back to obscurity in Norway.

It should never have been allowed to continue to a point where half the squad are briefing the media against him.

The fact that all the players, by all accounts, say they like Ole and want him to do well. And yet are still willing to put all this out in the press with him still in the job, shows just how bad things must be behind the scenes.

These briefings are worse than the ones about Jose and LVG. And those briefings only really started after they'd been sacked. These are more damaging leaks and coming at a much earlier point.

Yup, it's clear the squad wanted him gone after Leicester. This will have long term consequences for the players in our squad. Players will want out or force moves when their contracts are nearing an end. The board is literally fecking the actual decent squad they spent 400m on

You'd think this board would learn a thing or two on when to (proactively) let go a manager. They've had 3 previous experience.

Player-Ole is still a Utd hero and he his managerial career will just be a footnote in his legacy.

Manager-Ole is a bit of a plonker (Rodney Trotter?). He wanted the job even though his management skillset was lacking. Now he is in a nightmare position entirely of his own making.

I don"t think the fans will turn on him in the stadium. I can see Utd losing the Spurs game and it is going to be excrutiating to witness the next few weeks before he is replaced.

The damage he did to our club as a manager will be a footnote in his legacy? Good thing expletives are banned on this forum.

This is as toxic as it gets. Will have long term repercussions for sure.

The board are waiting for it to be so toxic so they're forced to fire him instead of pretending to be proactive. That is entirely on them being cowards and they should all lose their jobs too. Their job is to prevent situations like this from happening by firing him proactively and replacing him so the club isn't thrown into chaos. They just don't want to be responsible for anything, it's pathetic

I agree with you about the first part, I agree with the some of the second part too, but I think it falls on the incompetent board who’s allowing it to happen, even if Ole is a terrible manager and a bad man manager as well, the board at the ones with the power to end it, unless he resigns, this is all the boards doing.. other top clubs would’ve sacked him long ago, probably October/November 2019.

He has not done that much damage really. Utd are still in the Champions league. The squad is better than it has been for ages. He is just overstaying his welcome a little bit.

Everyone is getting carried away. Utd are not going to win the league this year but that is the worst of it. The media are stirring the pot as usual. The board are slow to act as usual. Things are not nearly as toxic as Mourinho who was a total dik before he got fired.

Just wow. Seeing these tweets for the first time and brings me back to those times when some were saying how Ole is the anti-Jose, bringing stabilisation to the club, and players are now playing happy under his management, smiles and good vibes and all that good shit.

How is this any different to Jose?? I'll tell you what's different. Jose had trophies.

Yes. Jose won us trophies and then the atmosphere around the team became trophies . Now we are in the same or even worse situation and that is without any trophies or progress to show with a miles better squad.

Last time I checked, the poll was at 89-12 and now it’s almost 88-13? Confidence on Ole is growing with all these ‘positive’ news?
Mostly Opposition fans have voted for him I think. Or maybe people who don’t see any realistic options to replace him. I can’t understand anyone who would want him to continue apart from those two category

How anyone can think Ole’s going to be around much longer with these stories doing the rounds, true or false, you’re mad. These things usually come out once a manager is gone, just goes to show what a dead man walking he is.

Man it's so funny to think back on all the cultists bleating about Ole changing the "cultcha" only to see it come to this

RIP Vibes and Mates FC
Dont you feel silly when you use cultists and other similar words?

I guess not.

I guess it hasnt been like that the whole time, definitely hasnt but now there's a proper mess and some of the stuff that has been hidden is coming out. If that all is true, some of it must be.

Right. So we’re going into a game this weekend where a bunch of players who’ve had enough of their manager have to work their bollocks off to keep him? What could go wrong?

To be honest it’s hard to argue with this. Some players have enjoyed this favouritism from Ole.
Crazy that he decided to keep and tell players like Van de Beek, Lingard, Mata, Bailly and Matic that they were going to get game time yet they haven't. He kept a massive squad to hardly ever fecking use it. You can only do that for so long before a lot of the squad are unhappy.

This is a problem. They won't throw the towel in but are they really motivated to keep Ole in a job? I am expecting a Spurs win for exactly this reason.

If the tweets above are true, not ony we play shite, but also it is not all sunshine and rainbow in the dressing room.

It wont even be the case of if they'll throw or towel or not. Tactics or lack of are again gonna be our undoing anyway.

I’d argue that playing shite is actually the cause of dressing room unrest. When you read all the stories that came out over the years about Utd’s dressing room under Fergie, it was hardly ponies and cotton candy either, but we were so successful that players wanted a piece of that and kept on performing.

It’s a joke the lengths all the figures at the club are going to protect him. Like our entire existence is dependent on him. Like how? What the feck is going on? Why the hell they are doing this when he is the one who is the reason for this mess? They are ready to sabotage the club itself in order to protect him. To hell with the club and the season because ole’s well being is the utmost and only priority. How ? Why ?

I wonder what the new gossip will be today.

They need some leaks of what happened in training.

And you can’t blame them. Why keep them in squad when you don’t intend to play them ever? VDB treatment has been awful. One game here and there and then sidelined for months. And for who? Scott and Fred who have been far from good. These kind of situation will create tension in the squad

If this was even remotely true then it wouldn’t bode well for a new manager coming in. Why do we consistently have the most dysfunctional team in the league?
I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. If your management isn’t good then during clear the air meetings, you will have strong opinions. Leaks can happen from any fringe player who isn’t happy. These opinion don’t get printed when your team is performing well but doesn’t mean they are not shared during those times

I’m sure it’s a simple fix. We already have a taste of who the majority of the squad have come to hate.

The new manager just needs to remove Maguire and the problem is fixed. Unfortunately players like McTominay and Shaw might be collateral damage. But by Shaw’s recent lack of effort I think he’s already switched sides.

Called it at the start of the season when we got Varane and Ronaldo in. When you build a top squad, then there's no place to hide. Fans and the actual top class players who have won it all will not take anything less than the absolute best.

He may not be the worst man-manager, but the moment you prove yourself to be decisively well below par as a manager then the players will simply throw you under the bus no matter how many dinners you invite them to.

From all accounts, seems like he has alienated a bunch of players. No manager, no matter how good you are, ever comes back from that.

It's not so much an issue amongst the squad but the guy choosing his favorites all the time. Once a manager comes in and plays players who are in form, then merit kicks in. Sure, some players may still be unhappy but if results are good no one will bother.

If Ole was winning everything in sight, you think Bruno or Pogba would be worried why VDB isn't getting playing time over McFred or people would care what Bailly has to say about Maguire if we won the game against Pool 6-5?
