It’s a fecking stupid approach, so what if we scrape past both Atalanta and Spurs, but got a heavy drubbing from City, which result will they base their decision on?
The Atalanta and Spurs ones probably.

There you go:

He actually looks he could be a good coach here. I'm getting quiet intensity vibes, meticulous tactics, student of the game, could kill you with a look but at times surprisingly warm.

Exactly what I've been thinking, part me wants to think that they just want the new manager to come in with an easier set of fixtures and time to get their team assembled.

How has he not been sacked? The leaks from the players in the past 2 days shows what suicide keeping him in the job in

This is worse the LVG/Mourinho....we aren't even going to try on Saturday against Spurs so what's the fecking point of keeping him?
It’s way worse - an utter disgrace to be honest. This club needs to wake up or we are heading for dormancy for a long long time.

Aside from the manager and coaching we’ve got a captain who isn’t good enough to start, ridiculous English player bias marketable players starting regardless of form and absolutely no authority within the club. Perhaps worst of all we’ve got a board and club legends who are so out of touch with the thoughts of the fan base it’s untrue. Certainly feels like they’re sh*tting on us at this point. It’s getting increasingly toxic.

He needs to go now, when entire fanbases are singing his name and laughing that he's still our manager there's no way coming back from that.

We're never going to win the league or Champions League with him as our manager so what is he still doing here? He's becoming a laughing stock among football fans and clearly collapsing under the pressure and it's only going to get worse.

At the weekend rival fans who are not Spurs fan will be cheering United to win. That's how bad it is, it's just insane he's still actually here and our board have deluded themselves into thinking he might be good enough.

I don’t expect much from McTominay, McQuire or Fred, but how on earth do guys like Ronaldo, Bruno, Rashford accept this shite? They surely know he’s not even Championship level, why don’t they make their opinion known to the board? Otherwise, if they truly believe that he’a a good coach we’re fecked.

I'm afraid this is what United is and has become and it will be the death of this club as an elite force in English football.
You’ve absolutely nailed it, that is what this club stands for now against the will of the vast majority of fans and a lot of the players.

No way this gets better so let’s see how bad it can get before they are forced to pull the trigger.

He’s selfish. All about him from day one. He’s always wanted to be the Legend that brought United back to its glory days whatever the cost even if it means relegating us.

It’s incredibly sad… again, I hate to keep banging this fecking drum, but this is exactly what happened to Liverpool in the 90s, only with at least the background of it having genuinely worked before!… they kept hiring people from the fabled “boot room” because that’s how it’d been done in the 70s & 80s, and they gradually fell further and further behind (ironically) us, until they even had Roy Evans joint manage with Gerrard Houllier because they couldn’t bare to make a clean break!
FFS they even hired Dalglish back in 2011 and we all laughed at them then…. Now we’ve got genuine legends like Fergie, Neville, Rio etc, actively championing us doing the same thing. Repeating all the mistakes of the post Busby-era too.

Lord save us from the nostalgia of Middle aged men. It will eventually destroy the world.

If this is merely all a smokescreen to give us time to find an appropriate replacement, then fair play…. I don’t have nearly the faith in our board some of you seem to though… personally I think they drunk the Kool Aid with Ole and are just in blind panic mode now.
It just feels really amateur. Like we're in some alternate reality where Ole is this legendary manager who has achieved so much here that we simply can't let go. Whereas in truth he is bang average and sure he's developed the squad fine in some areas but has clearly proven to not be good enough. Spineless and a message that we aren't run professionally with excellence being the only thing matters. Clearly being a United guy, SAF pet and super sub are more important than being a top class as it should be:lol:

Those who thought he'd walk away were always deluded. Ole will go when he's chucked out. He's like every other manager and simply wants the hot seat.

I never thought Ole would go down early in the season with the squad we have. And those leaks are quite surprising too. I mean we knew Ole is not tactically good enough but for the club and players to confirm it to the public was unexpected

That too. It's just funny how people romanticize their favourite players. As if Ole is some martyr figure who would give him up one of the most prestigious positions as he's evidently not good enough. Just like Jose and LVG he'll have to be dragged away while he desperately clings on.

To be fair I think he might well have walked away if we'd not given him that new contract. Especially after the players started slaughtering him to their press friends.

But he cant, and wont ever contemplate, turning his back on a massive payout from a 3.5 year deal to walk away, he has a family to look after as well.

Don't think he would have. He'd keep going in the hope that he'd be given a bit more time to 'turn things around'. It's madness that after 3 and half years of huge spending were still looking at turning things around rather on the way to big trophies.

He'd still be under contract?

I mean there's gonna be a lot more people who will want to leave once the season is over. This situation is a fecking clownshow.
We'll get a few wins and the spins machine will start doing its work. The usual quotes of bravado will start coming out. Until the next time we get shown up on the pitch. Rinse and repeat.

Yeah for the fans, not the players. The leaks show he's just a nice guy who doesn't have their respect. If he's still in the job come the new year players will start planning to leave

The irony of the myth of Ole bringing stability, and building a cohesive settled squad. This summer the amount of players he hoarded for no reason was absurd.

If he does somehow cling on to the job next summer it'll be the opposite. Half the squad will be wanting out.

We can safely assume Henderson, Dalot, Bailly, Grant, Mata, Lingard, Pogba, Matic, DVB, Martial and Cavani will all be leaving on a free, retiring or demanding to be sold/loaned within the next 2 transfer windows.

Bruno, Varane and Ronaldo not long behind them if they have to play under Ole next season.

This also goes on to people whinging about Conte dismantling what Ole has built. He's built feck all. There's nothing to dismantle.

Good. They should look after their careers really. For example Bruno must be looking at Pogba and how this move to us has basically wasted his best years and must think about whether he really wants to risk that and win feck all major trophies when he's 30. That's the one thing I have some faith in - that we have players who have won stuff, CL, the bloody WC etc and more than our management/backroom staff they would at least demand excellence as they are among the achievers in game unlike the management. This isn't just a group of young players who have a decade ahead of them, some need success now

Sorry, but how is any of this better than the end of Mourinho’s reign…?

It’s toxic. Clearly it is.

With Mourinho, Utd at least got 2 trophies out of it.

The Solskjær era is in great danger of undoing ANY good it *might’ve* previously achieved and ending up Utd’s worst post SAF appointment.

Moyes was done within 6 months.

LvG brought possession, boredom and a trophy.

Mourinho brought 2 trophies and the best PL season before meltdown.

Solskjær has been backed with half a billion, and not really achieved anything tangible. And now it’s clear that the dressing room is broken and toxic.

People need to start calling it as it is - for the sake of the club if nothing else.

If, if, if these stories are true, the board really need to sack him now for his own sake. Ole deserves some respect for all his time at the club and the next three weeks will be circus of leaks, fan pressure, and media pressure. And for what? The odds of him actually surviving all that are pretty slim now.

It’s really getting nasty and the cowardice of our board is to blame. They won’t take the decision it seems till gets super ugly and then they can hold their hands up and say, “Well we had to! Look how bad it got.”

We lack proper decision makers at this club.

There's clearly a rift in the squad between Ole's guys and the rest.

And that will be proven once again on Saturday when he picks an almost unchanged eleven.

At best we might see Matic in there at the expense of Greenwood and an ultra defensive set up. But with things as desperate as they are he's not going to pick anyone who's been gunning for him in the media.

The great man manager everybody

This. Whatever Ole has achieved is down to the individual brilliance of players. The players saved his job this far and now there are fed up with him.

The board are definitely throwing him under the buss here (I’m Ole out by the way), they’re probably praying for a miracle to save face after doing the same exact shite as they did with Mourinho, gave him a contract just to sack him few months later.. I feel for Ole, at the end of the day, he’s one of the clubs legends, and deserve more respect. I wish he would just resign and end all this craziness, I don’t blame him for not resigning though.

The board are waiting for it to be so toxic so they're forced to fire him instead of pretending to be proactive. That is entirely on them being cowards and they should all lose their jobs too. Their job is to prevent situations like this from happening by firing him proactively and replacing him so the club isn't thrown into chaos. They just don't want to be responsible for anything, it's pathetic

That being said these leaks are fair assuming they are true. If ole is really this bad at man management it literally nullifies the single thing most of us gave him credit for. He's been awful at everything else a manager is supposed to do. So if these are true I'm glad they're out in the open so people can't pretend ole was treated unfairly or didn't deserve to be yeeted back to obscurity in Norway.
