I feel like I’m at the point of giving up on Ole, but honestly can’t see us doing shit with the midfield we have whoever the manager is.

Our defence is also massively overrated, what is it now 19 games without a clean sheet? Pathetic showing from the players

I didn't wanna make another thread for this but why do we never have a plan as a club? Edu is everything hurried and unprepared. There is never a contingency plan. Surely we didn't pin all our hopes on Ole being a success?

Youd swear we are bottom of the league the way you talk. He’s clearly not incompetent but he’s not the man to take us to the next level
We have probably the best team in the league, second best worst case. We also were extremely lucky in two matches when we ended with 6 points instead of 2.

Honestly I don’t want to go down the route of Conte who is a contrast to the players we have or zidane who doesn’t want to manage in England.

so I’d like to see us go for a double Ajax swoop
Ten Haag as head coach and VDS to replace woody. We need a football man in that position

Sounds good

He needs sacking and also the coaches. The 3 year experiment has failed miserably.

We need a rebuild from top to bottom. Coaches and culture from u9s to first team. Bring people in that understand where footabll is atm, dispose of everyone that just goes through the motions/is trying things from 40 years ago. This is not a retirement home, this is a football club that wants to be at the top.

"United way" is producing young players and play good football, not trying to do "what SAF did". Copying what you thought you saw when you were at the club is not a viable solution. If that worked then Steve Bruce and Mark Hughes would've been the best coaches in the PL.

We will go on getting results like the one against Villa, Everton and now Leicester unless we get in a manager who knows what he's dong. Ole, sadly, is flapping round like a fish out of water

The only culture United need is a winning one. If we continue with our current trajectory there will be another toxic changing room left for the new manager. That’s if the board don’t make a change soon anyway.

Yes I agree. I just think he has done well on the rebuild. The right manager will inherit a great team that should be ready to compete. We need to sort our midfield, but January is coming soon.

But you are right again, we need to act. Fire and hire fast.

Not trying to play body language expert here, but the way he looked after Vardy scored was hardly the look of a man in control of the situation. Not saying he should be screaming at the sidelines or getting into a scrimmage with Rodgers and the 4th official, but sitting at the bench, hands folded with an empty stare.....thats not good

For his own sake i hope he bows out himself. I honestly still think hes done a good job up until now, but i'd really hate to see the OT crowd turn on him

I don't think he would do it because he'd never get the same compensation anywhere else but if he resigns and help us transition to a proper manager, I will retain some respect for him as a manager.

As a player, he'll always have his place.

I've always backed Ole to the hilt and will love him forever as a player and servant to the club. But I was today years old when I realised his system, whatever it is, isn't working. When you've got the likes of Pogba, Fernandes, Sancho and Ronaldo looking distinctly average, after they have recently excelled elsewhere, you know you've got serious problems. Sadly, unless something drastically changes, I think this could be the beginning of the end for Ole.

If the players bounce back under him, we still know that he has a very low ceiling. A ceiling that is far from competing for the big titles.

So what does it matter? Let’s assume we win the next 2 matches, 35-0 each. We still know that Ole is a pretty awful manager that won’t ever challenge for a title, and is completely clueless on playing against a low block.

So why prolong the misery?
Because I don't yet share the widespread level of confidence that he is indeed incapable. I'm more easily persuaded that things are becoming so bad that he has to go for the sake of the short term but I'm not there yet either but think two more poor results would be enough to show that.

Do you remember how Chelsea's defense transformed with Tuchel?

I believe it's a systemic issue and a coaching issue with individual issues only a small part of it.

There is so much wrong with our club. It's a joke
The decision to award Ole a new 3 year contract. Should have just been given a year extension whilst the board assessed if we mounted a title challenge this year
The decision to award Bailly and Mata new deals. Bailly wasnt even trusted today when Maguire was fecked
The decision to continually play McFred
The decision to neglect the CDM position which is key
The inept coaching
The lack of identity and playing style
The acceptance from the board and management that top 4 is good enough

You will when we’re still rebuilding the squad in 4 years time after he’s left

Our current squad will already need a rebuild in 3 years time or something. People don't seem to realize almost all our best players are 28 years.

It’s good to see the caf agree with something for once, Ole has to leave. Everyone can see it.

As Pochettino did when he first arrived. There's a workaround for everything.

This team has outgrown ole and he’s suffocating with the demands,

He got a bit of a free ride in the first few years with some bad patches of form but to his credit certainly steadied the ship but we now have to act and make a tough decision but the correct decision before we take 2 steps back,

The foundations are there for a new better manager and equally as important better coaching staff , we have a great team with some Fantastic quality also in depth, however this is Manchester United, we will act when it’s too late and set ourselves back a season or two when we’re out of the UCL, out of the FA cup and sitting in 8th place with top 4 well out of sight

@Raoul is it not possible to fix that poll so you can't vote both options simultaneously? It's very OCD unfriendly.

3 seasons in and alot of money spent.

And we play like that? Proof we need a new manager.

Someone needs to do a Ole sacked thread similar to the Vangle one made by Cina.

There's no way the board sees Zidane available and we have Ronaldo, Pogba Varane and top wingers in the team and they ignore him to stick with Ole

The board renewed Phelan's contract mid-International break, knowing what our upcoming fixture list looks like and our dismal performances this season. The renewal of his coaches are also under the works.

Folks, need to realize, Ed Woodward thinks the best thing he's done for United is to re-build under Ole and go further forward under his vision. You can just look up the quotes, on how highly him and board think of Ole.

Things would have to get really grim for him to get sacked, I'm talking us bouncing out of CL, and far off the pace from Top 4. Strap yourself, he's not going anywhere. If anything, the template is setup for Ole. We'll win one of the big matches (either Liverpool or City) and that'll earn Ole more time. This has been basically story of his tenure.
