Is Ole a good appointment?

Wait a minute, I'm confused - I thought we had to stick with Mourinho as there was no else out there at the moment that could've done a better job.

We would've 100% lost points today were we still being managed by the Cnuty one.

Pretty straightforward aspect of football but I reckon the Rashford free kick routine and Lukaku running directly at the keeper is his doing

Great appointment and I'm chuffed to bits he has had a brilliant start to his tenure. He has brought back the feel good factor to the club when they needed it most.

Such a likeable man too so he will hopefully have the media on his side rather than the siege mentality under Jose.

Just what the club needed.

Interesting stat: only two Manchester United managers won their first 4 games in charge.

Sir Matt Busby
Ole Gunnar Solskjær

I know these were 4 games against teams that are low in the league table. But there's no way in hell Jose would have won all 4

And if he did they would have been ugly, 1 goal wins

Another game where he got his subs spot on. He's been changing the game really well from the bench so far.

Don't care if he's a glorified cheerleader and Phelan is doing all the work - just keep this team together for a bit so I can enjoy watching United.

He's done well so far, getting a real tune out of Marcus and Pogba. Spread a real positive atmosphere around the club. Spurs will be the test on Sunday week. Beat them and we will get real momentum.

Good god I hope we keep winning, playing United style football and ensure he doesn't have to be dragged back to Molde

Why are people getting so excited? It has only been 4 games. It was only Newcastle today. Even Moyes won his first game.

In his interview on MUTV he praises the sub not the substitution. Praises the strength of the squad.

Would be really against putting fellaini on vs a park the bus team for last 10 mins? He has been so effective. Are we happy to give up points for that principle, even if we are fighting for fourth in a few games?

We should be honest about today, we got a scrappy goal to go one nil up from a poor free kick. the usual plan didn't work today. Are we totally against going to a plan B if we need points for top 4 when the plan A clearly isn't working?

No hoofing and sending on an attacker with a few minutes left. What a massive change in the thought process.

Really...

Do you honestly think the lad is would take the job as manager only to be the front man for someone else!!!

How insane is that theory?

I'm sure Jose is gutted to see the way we are playing and the press Ole is getting.
Another thing to enjoy. I can see Mourinho tearing his hair off and foaming at the mouth while shouting 'three times' at the telly.

For every game that goes by, he's further and further away from getting another managerial appointment. Will Neville try to get him for Salford at the end of the season?

Not sure Phelan is the brains behind the operation. If Ole substituted Phil Jones with a cone and it paid off then maybe Mike could take the plaudits.

I'm just saying there is a massive gap between Molde-->Cardiff and then Man United. He's in the same playground as Pep, Klopp and Poch now. I can understand why the media would label him as inexperienced. I don't have a problem with it. He's inexperienced so what. He's still pretty damn good!

There is a massive gap between Molde, Cardiff and United, both in terms of ability and expectations.

Ask yourself, if you put Pep, Klopp or Mourinho in charge of that Cardiff side instead of Ole, do you think they would have fared any better?

Yeah, this.

Ole is really, really impressing me with how together his philosophy is thus far.

The midfield look really organized and tidy, every player passes forward whenever they can, his subs are brilliant, his attitude is brilliant.

The whole team is somehow more calm, yet faster thinking and in action... which is interesting.

I'm really on board.

Beat Spuds and I really think the club will be leaning heavily toward Ole. Beat PSG and the job is surely his.

And you know what? I wouldn't be that surprised if he does both.

I'm refusing to make any bold statements about his tenure until Spurs away.

If it carries on like this then dont let him or Phelan leave. We wont get a better manager who understands this club more.

As long as we hold our own against the the likes of Spurs away and PSG, show the right attitude and commitment, even if we draw or lose then its good enough for me.

Or keep trying and you will finally get the breakthrough? Its all about how you perceive things.

SAF had lot of late second half Jammy goals - were all of them due to poor luck?

Solskjær till the end of really many seasons!

If he gets the gig, who knows what might happen if we get a proper DoF in, and get some quality signings? We've a good squad but we still need a right winger and another FB cause Valencia is done. A central defender to play beside Lindelof.

Exactly. I bet if Jose still here he would brought Fellaini in and started the game with Mctomany at C.B with no Luke Shaw or Pogba too. It would have been so negative I reckon. Thank God at least we go for games like these and only thinking about how we win. Hope Ole continues really.
