Sneaky bum time - Vaccination status: dozed off
I think the worry isn't about him doing exceptionally well. But rather for the scenario where the results create a perception of him being good enough whereas the underlying progress and his talent /ability suggests that he isn't. And that is possibility. Obviously I want him to to be our Pep, hammering every opponent 5-0. What you don't want is for him to do just about enough to impress just about enough to get him the job permanantly and for him to subsequently fail thereafter. Its bizarre, people are worried he will do well and be kept on. Bizarre logic.
I think we all should be much more worried that he won't do well. As I said earlier I think its crazy to land him with the xmas fixtures, if things go wrong for him they could go wrong pretty quickly.
It's like Mourinho prior to his contract/till last season. I felt he deserved to stay as he'd done the bare minimum but I wasn't particularly impressed nor convinved by his management and direction he was taking us. But the club handed him an extension and good portion of fans seemingly fell in love with him. Truth is, we've fallen apart now and it's not like the signs werent there before.
So, as I said before, were all optimistic and wishing Ole well. But we want the club to remain rational and not get caught up by a wave of emotion.
