Just wanted to say I was on board since the beginning.
That was Ole's best game in charge. Adapted to two important injuries and got his formation spot on.

Most disappointing thing about PSG is that we didn’t turn up. We saw Pogba being targetted and didn’t adapt. Here Chelsea were on him, but he appears to have learnt quick and appeared wide left to set up the first goal and then surged ahead of his marker for the second.
We are on the level of PSG and Liverpool right now. We’re at home. We should be planning to beat them. Work hard, play smartly, and we will.

Playing Mata through the middle (finally!) was effective, but this meant that the Full backs, Pogba and Herrera had to work double shifts to cover their flank. Brilliant from both Herrera and Pogba who kept shuttling between the wings and their natural position. Shaw probably had his best defensive performance ever in a Utd shirt.
The players took to the tactics well and did a great job.

The best part about his time as manager here is that he appears to be learning from every mistake he makes.

I was looking back through each season and last we had 7 consecutive away wins in all competitions was back in April 2002. 5 in league, 2 in CL that time.
I get it, I've only been mentioned twice before you got the bright idea.
At this point if he doesnt get the job on a permanent basis, serious questions need to be asked about the people running the club and what their expectations actually are. We are in the form of our lives, and yes we may have lost to PSG but at this point in time I think whoever we had as manager would have struggled against them. I feel like we cant keep changing the goalposts every time he gets a good result, or put an asterix next to the result (Spurs werent at full strength so it doesnt count, Arsenal are being Arsenal, Chelsea are in meltdown etc) to try and disqualify his achievements.

Isn't that how it works normally? Manager comes up with tactics and players perform it to the best of their abilities, Surely one without the other wouldn't work.
Ole doing fantastic job. Needs 3 4 additions to his system and he can do even much much better. The way he set up the game vs Chelsea and handled the absences of 2 key players and the reaction and the mindset after the defeat from PSG it was signs big signs of how he can do here. Still early to judge yes but for me if he gets top four with continuing this decent run in the F.A then he is the man to get the job for me.
If Ole continues like this the job won’t even be open anymore by May... (officially or unofficially)

I think this is the game that puts OGS as a serious and legitimate contender for the permanent position. This is no longer about putting smiles on faces as the old cliche goes and the honeymoon period has passed. There was certainly tactical nous afoot in this game that worked really well and he did it without Martial and Lingard.

You either are overrating our team or have been living under a rock for last 6 years if PSG are make or break test and not winning away against spurs arsenal and chelsea.
Herrera and Matic are crucial. I actually thought they were our best players in the first half against PSG.
Herrera goes forward and tracks back. Matic patrols the area and gets a foot in.
You can rely on them to do a job. They wont get nervous or fazed.

Not until we lost 2 of our players that were key to the set up we were going with. I daresay that if Ole had been forced into using a diamond a few games before PSG and we'd still been getting results, then as soon as the injuries happened in the game we could have transitioned from the 433 into a diamond, instead of still trying to use a 433 with players who werent going to work in the same way.
