We were utter garbage last 2 months. Garbage. I'm not sure what happened first 2 and a half months ... It was like a curse that we were doing that well so Ole gets the contract.

Def sack him. Team sucked and he was not showing any balls to make changes. Showed no strong leadership. Showed nothing. Its like a pressure of getting a contract killed both him and the team.

Can't imagine what would have happened if SAF had taken over in 86 and we had online platforms back then. He would have been sacked a long time before he won that FA cup that started things going. Ole has been here for 6 months, brought us to the highest points, as well as lowest points, of the season. Instead of focusing on the positives, people are asking for his head when he barely has time to build the squad or make big changes to it? Incredible.

Ferguson made Aberdeen the Scottish champions against all odds, breaking the Rangers Celtic dominance, he won a European trophy with them.

Solskjaer, a lovely guy and a Man United legend, is not on the same planet as Ferguson.

One thing I would like to say is if we had not given him a contract, this would not even be a debate. But what's done is done. Now we have to back him.

The owners, the CEO, the players and the staff are all responsible.
As far as we know his good run was nothing but a boost of confidence and a feel-good vibe post Mourinho, that is all.
It’s not something you can build on, relegation form for two months is unacceptable for this club.

Would he been given the job now? Of course he wouldn’t, that says it all.
He still has the most points in the PL besides City and Liverpool since he was appointed, so yes, he would have been given the job because it would have been incredibly knee jerk to not once you look at the facts.

The squad are weak and things changed as soon as he started being hard on them for under performing. When he was telling them they're all amazing people they were flying. Either Mourinho broke their confidence or they're fecking soft, take your pick.

Not sure if anything has changed since Mourinho was sacked regarding a replacement. I think we should carry on trying to sign our number one objective Pochetino whatever the cost. A transfer fee the size of Fred is great value to sign a top manager. The only real difference than before will be paying of Solskjaar.
Many things have changed, just that we've only gotten worse. Under Mourinho, you could at least see his superb in-game management. We were completing comebacks after comebacks. With Ole, we seem to be in freefall from minute-1, and he doesn't seem to have a clue on how to change the course of a game.

'Fitness levels' page 101 out of football cliche handbook, yes that will fix things :lol:

Doesnt mean its not true. You did see lukaku pishing sweat after 20 minutes in that last game, right? The serious drop off in performances after 20 minutes has been a running joke for this time all season. So while it might be a cliche, it also looks true. And besides that, thats what ole said was a problem. So let him fix that problem if it is indeed a problem. If not, he'll still be there to sack next year.

Ferguson had a pedigree before joining United. Ole doesn't and hasn't looked capable at all. Enough of the comparisons.

Sacking Ole will not magically sort everything out. This is the Manchester United board. Who among them know anything about football?

Avram Glazer = Executive Co-Chairman
Joel Glazer = Executive Co-Chairman
Kevin Glazer
Bryan Glazer
Darcie Glazer Kassewitz
Edward Glazer
Edward Woodward = Executive Vice Chairman
Richard Arnold = Group Managing Director
Cliff Baty = Company's Chief Financial Officer
Robert Leitão = joint Managing Partner of Rothschild & Co Gestion
"M a n u" Sawhney = Asian media
John Hooks = luxury fashion industry

Wow! That's one heck of an incompetent board. (Very competent on financial management though). I thought SAF and Sir Bobby had some sort of board position, what happened?

Solskjær appealed to the weak mentality our players have when he was appointed. Told them they were all wonderful and deserved to be at United, which they probably needed to hear post Jose. Then they started getting complacent and some of them were phoning it in so he gave them a bollocking and singled out the individuals that weren't performing well enough. After that they just reverted to the shithouses they are.

They're weak and crumble over the slightest criticism. Hence all this social media bollocks they do, all the affirmation that they're brilliant from kids online. They need that because the reality is they're shit on the pitch and they can't handle being told that.

Or Paul Pogba played out of his mind whilst scoring 9 and assisting 6 in just 12 games.

No one is saying he is the problem, but surely, he is not the solution either, as someone else put it? Honestly, if a better manager were available right now, would you still persist with him?
Yes, we have nothing to be gained and everything to lose by bringing in a new manager in June. Give the man a season at least to see if he can improve things, he deserves at least that.

Ole needs to be given free reign to get rid of all the pretenders playing for Man Utd right now. If they force him to hold onto the bluffers, like they forced Mourinho, then next season could be much, much worse. Would you fancy us to do more than Wolves or Everton at the moment?

It doesn't matter how many packs of fertiliser their pictures sell in some far off market, if the players won't work for the team the Ole has to be allowed to bin them off. If the board ties his hands then we'll continue to fall behind the best of the best and we won't even be the best of the rest.

Can only back him because the board aren’t capable of recruiting managers. He will be sacked some point next season and unless there is an ideal replacement out of work they won’t know what to do then.

Ole probably thinks the same as you and that’s why we are where we are. I’m not claiming to know more than most. But from the season Moyes was appointed I’ve realised how stupid our fans are. But it’s fine let’s see this managerial appointment out. It’s going one way and one way only, yet the board will get blamed again whilst us fans get away with flip flop murder.
You're making massive assumptions based on what you think Ole thinks.

Wow! That's one heck of an incompetent board. (Very competent on financial management though). I thought SAF and Sir Bobby had some sort of board position, what happened?

SAF and Charlton were never part of that board. They were/are part of a separate board that had/has a non-executive function. In other words it was a ceremonial position with no actual power.

So every manager after SAF was wrong? Can't you see a pattern here it's the fecking players, they are greedy bastards who don't give a shit about the club. feck the lot of him, get rid of all the players before Ole I say!!!!

Pattern, winning UEFA Europa League, then coming 2nd in the League, yes it's players :wenger:

Even in our recent terrible run, there were plenty of games where the football was great, but only for the first 30 minutes before the team looked to be zonked out. If we can keep that kind of intensity going for 90 minutes instead for each match, we are well set to be in top 4 next season. Fans are blinded by the end results, though they have been terrible, but fail to see that there have been improvements made here and there.

Seriously hope that Ole succeeds next season just to see the response from some the fans here.

Our state is not because of managerial issues, it's gross club mismanagement the past six years. Sacking Ole to bring in somebody else wont fix this.
Sacking him now and bringing in Poch in June will help. He's got Spurs to the CL final on £7m net spend in 5 years. He's clearly a better candidate.

If we let Ole spend money, then still sack him mid season, then it's a waste of time. Do it now. This is still Jose's team. Why waste time with Ole when we all know the end result? We are in relegation form right now. We are not going to magically be prime Brazil next season, it's going to get worse, the minimum we can do is get a decent manager in. Poch is the guy.

To anyone who is up for sacking Ole, assuming Poch wouldn't suddenly jump ship suddenly, who would you actually look to bring in?

So who do you want as a DOF? An ex United or a outsider and then who would you want us to bring in as manager?
An outsider who has credible resume. Someone to drive the club forward.

I don’t want Rio or Phelan or someone with zero experience if you ask me that.

Wow! That's one heck of an incompetent board. (Very competent on financial management though). I thought SAF and Sir Bobby had some sort of board position, what happened?

They are on a separate "football board", which has no executive function and is just there for appearances sake.

You want facts?
8 losses
2 draws
2 wins
That’s our form since PSG.
If you think that’s acceptable that’s your problem.
If you think he’d been offered the deal today, that’s delusion.

Let's get real. Our results since the 3-1 loss to Arsenal are relegation material. There is skill and ability in the squad as shown by our results after JM's sacking up to and including the victory over PSG. It's up to the manager to convey a philosophy, define tactics, select the team and manage the game that's being played. There's no way we should be drawing with Huddersfield or losing to Cardiff (at home!) with the squad we've got. For me the current problems are as much to do with the manager as with shortcomings in the squad. I love OGS as a club legend but he has absolutely no experience of management at the level required by United. Add to this the fact that we're expecting him to preside over a major overhaul and viewed from any rational perspective the situation appears to be utterly ridiculous.

It would be fantastic if OGS could get us firing on all cylinders again next season but I'm deeply troubled by what lies in store for us managed by an individual whose only management CV is Cardiff and Molde. It doesn't follow that a club legend will be a successful manager.

Sacking him would do nothing. Poch would struggle with this bunch of fannies. Pep wouldn't be able to play tika taka with the shit we've got either.

Stop scapegoating the manager and accept the truth. These players are fecking shite. It's a truly pathetic squad and easily the worst in my life time.

We need to get rid of about 10 players. Ole needs to be ruthless. Even if we can't afford to buy 10 replacements, play a kid in their place next season.

Young & Jones need to be ahead of the queue. Absolute shower of bastards.

We should politely thank him for his time with us and especially for putting smiles back on our faces (for a while anyway). It was good while it lasted. He's not the man to lead us through a rebuilding process. We need a more experienced person with an attitude and strong character. Thinking of a certain weird German guy. Suppose I'll get slated for that!

It would be an embarrassment but I think he should step down. I don't think he's the right man for the job. Get Pochettino in FFS. The rebuild will take a while but the man has done wonders working with nothing at Spurs

If not Potch then Allegri, Conte, Tuchel or Jardim. Hell I’d take Simeones style of football compared to what we been served up now.
