If Pochettino became available and wanted to come i'd go for it but that's not going to happen. So we need to stick with Ole and hope that the first few games of his tenure are more indicative than the last few.

Don't even need a manager to beat them. Losing to the likes of them is nothing to do with the manager, theres players in the sqaud that simply don't care.
He's been taking the slack for other peoples mess' this season.
I don't know if Ole knows the right players to bring in or not, but the last thing United need is to be looking for a new manager when the transfer window is such a short one.

He came after years of neglecting of the United way in to group of ego's and some players who, although good lads, had no confidence in the team.
Solskjaer must be given time to make this all right. People saying they want Pochetino in would throw him under the bus if he doesn't fix it all in 3 months time.

Get rid of the players we can and bench the rest. Utd need to get out of this cycle of player power and giving contracts and pay rises to players who haven’t earned them. If they don’t want to play for United then sell them and move on.
Solskjær appealed to the weak mentality our players have when he was appointed. Told them they were all wonderful and deserved to be at United, which they probably needed to hear post Jose. Then they started getting complacent and some of them were phoning it in so he gave them a bollocking and singled out the individuals that weren't performing well enough. After that they just reverted to the shithouses they are.
They're weak and crumble over the slightest criticism. Hence all this social media bollocks they do, all the affirmation that they're brilliant from kids online. They need that because the reality is they're shit on the pitch and they can't handle being told that.
Poch is talking about needed reassurances from Levy about a plan and a structure to take Spurs forward and match his ambition. These talks will take place after the CL final. If they don't go well, Poch's going to leave, and I'm absolutely certain we'd snatch him up and let Ole go.
Poch would be given the assurances he wants and would gut this squad, plus he'd be paid a lot more money and have access to a lot more money here.
The issue people have is no cofidence in Ole at this level and the level we aspire to. With that, transfers, staffing, coaching, knowledge is all under the cosh before we consider the pitch. A proven manager does not have these issues and I think people would be willing to give someone like Poch more of the benefit of the doubt to get things right and follow a proven process.
Pochettino would gut this squad, not sure Ole will or even has permission to.
What the feck is wrong with Chelsea? They're about to win the EL and are playing CL football next season. They've also won the PL much more recently than us. It's time to come to terms with the fact we are not any different to any other football club. None of that mes que en club bullshit.

Until the club structure is sorted and there's a coherent plan for going forward we're in a cycle of hiring and firing and managers having to do with completely unbalanced squad assembled by 4 different managers. We need a strategy looking beyond the next manager, without it it doesn't matter long term who is currently hired.
If he hadn't been appointed on a permanent contract, he would have been let go perfectly fairly right now, and that would have been an utterly just parting of ways.

At the moment, I really want Ole to succeed, but part of me thinks I want this almost out of politeness and not hurting his feelings, having been given the contract. Certainly wouldn't be pushing for him to be appointed based on the last few matches, yet ironically I believe if he hadn't been appointed permanently the team would be top 4 now.

If we’d appointed somebody relatively unknown who had exactly the same results, but wasn’t a united legend in his playing career, they would be sacked in my opinion.

I agree. Klopp and Pep got backed, but they showed a promising first season. If you are a great manager, you get things right. Ole doesnt, so people come up with a lot of excuses. Too many. The form is Cardiff level, if he cant get this bunch playing at a decent level and motivated, seriously, he is completely useless.

He deserves a chance to shape his own team, he has a squad of players that all belong to the previous 4 managers not one of them has he signed.
