On the fence.

At first I was against the idea of Ole being appointed permanently, then like the vast majority of United fans I warmed up to the idea that Indian summer and felt as if he's going to take us back to where we belong in a manner Fergie would approve. But now it seems that what I feared would happen most initially (i.e. him being completely out of his depth, taking us into relegation form) is coming true.

Mind you, the players are doing him no favours whatsoever because they've been a complete joke and disgrace to the club, but you can't help but question if he's the right man for us right now given his inexperience at managing at the highest level

You keep using the term relegation form as if we were in serious danger of being relegated. There's no need for the dramatics, we've been poor and some of the players need to have a long hard look at themselves as to why they got outfought by teams who wanted it more than they did.

When you become "one of the lads" as a manager and seem too much of a yes man you are compromised and that should be a sacking offence for gross misconduct. Nevermind results and performances since he was given his flash new contract that is not worth the paper it is written on. democracy changes apparently.
 
We're in a world of shit, we've not got a single player who can produce an 7or 8 out of 10 on a regular basis and we've got a manager who in my opinion hasn't got the experience, or the talent to stop this downward spiral we're presently in.

Solskjær won the league in Norway, same, or even stronger league than the Scottish, for the first time in the Molde's history.
Never won a European trophy with them, but did really well in Europe. Not saying they're on the same level, but atleast give him some credit for what he's done as manager..... Opposed of what most Brits seem to think, Cardiff wasn't his only job before United.

He will be sacked anyway in to midseason and we will continue the cycle again .

To back him with £200m is stupid when he’s done nothing to suggest he deserves that sort of backing. We’d just reset again in 12 months. We’d have to clear out his players, LvG players and Jose players. Will be another mess.
 
Oh knock it off with quotes you absolute muppets. The comments you want him to make are the ones Mourinho was criticized for. Everyone was all about his positivity and his reluctance to throw players under the bus when the results were good.

Post match quotes are pointless and nobody should be paying attention to them.

This was literally the easiest thing to predict in the history of everything. The minute results go to shit fans decide the managers rhetoric is somehow embarrassing or "not in sync with the club values" or some such nonsense. Managers are just talking out of their arse because making any sensible conclusions 5 minutes after the match is impossible and a dumb thing to do.
 
I don't get the people saying to back him because he needs a window and to have his own players.

He's still only going to get 3, maybe 4 of his own players and be working with mostly the same team as he has this year apart from that. Anyone expecting some miraculous turnaround on our current form is going to be disappointed.

I just don’t think he’s a good coach. We need someone to coach these players how to position themselves, pass, move etc.

If he brought in a coach then maybe it’d work but I never thought he’d be the right option.

Because Mourinho's treatment of Pogba worked so well? You do realize that putting an arm around his shoulder is probably what inspired his performanes during our winning run?
 
I’d have a bit more faith in him but for the line up he put out today.

He had a free game and could have picked anyone so to see the likes of Young in the side was disappointing and makes me question his judgement.

People would've backed Klopp to rebuild because was one of the best managers in the world with a proven track record, the only thing Ole has in his favour is what he did as a player.

Norwegian isn’t stronger than Scotland now let alone the 80s when it was a strong league.
 
Why would Poch go from a CL finalist, a top 3 team, to us? What planet are you guys even living on?

"Not enough experience" - neither did Zidane or Pep, when they took over 2 of the biggest clubs on the planet.

Solskjær has been managing players bought by other managers, fit (ish) for other playstyles, atleast let him get his own players, who fits his playstyle.
We need a total fecking rebuild, with staff and players who care about United, not their clothing brand..
 
Offer spurs 60 million for Poch and whatever compensation. If it doesn't work out then look at Tuchel, Erik Ten Hag, I'd even take Nuno over Ole at this point.

Send Ole back to Norway, it's not about improvement with Ole next season it's estimating how bad we will have fallen. Disgraceful appointment
 
He was ruthless with Fellaini "who I think was miles better than many players we have now", yet he only picked on him. He did that to score points at the vast majority of the fans that hate Fellaini. I can't trust him as a manager.
 
This is exactly what Moyes also said - to aspire like City. So how does he get a pass here?

What?
The Scottish league is far stronger than the Norwegian, let alone back in the early 80s.
Let alone, SAF had won a European cup with Aberden.
The Norwegian league is about league 1 level, at best.
They are incomparable whatsoever.
 
We've had so many games coming at us thick and fast in the second half of the season I doubt he has had any 'real' time to allow the players to do anything but rest between games.

Back him big time. Let him gut the squad and sell whoever he wants.

We need long term thinking now. We've proved sacking managers doesn't work. We need to steady the ship and Ole and his backroom staff are the group to do it.

It really isn't, many clubs do it. If you are giving a manager time, then you need something you can point to and hope on. There is nothing with Solskjaer.

It's not weaker. Rosenborg has been dominating the league like Rangers and Celtic, after doing well in CL in the 90s-00s, breaking their domination was a really good job.
