Madrid, Barca make mistakes but they rectify them quickly. I feel like we are going to wait and ruin another season before getting rid because people are invested in this romantic idea of having this guy at the helm despite not being able to justify it.

Today's performance isn't an isolated incident either, even during the winning run we played poorly and won against the run of play plenty of times.

I've only kept the tv on to see Ole's post match interview.

Very very interested to hear what he has to say now.

My worry from the start was he wouldn’t have the balls for the job and he’s too much of a yes man, won’t want to rock the boat. In theory it’s too early to say that’s the case, but he’s looking like a caretaker boss more and more.

From the top of my head......Seville home and away/That fulham game under Moyes/ United vs PSV/Loosing to that danish team under LVG.
Sevilla are a decent team who have won many EL so that is expected considering our level. I will give you the Fulham game but atleast we tried. Don't remember either PSV or Danish team so can't be this bad.

What's basically happened is that Pogba, De Gea and Herrera have downed tools until they get paid 3 times more than they are worth. All 3 can feck off somewhere else tbh. Imagine Roy Keane or Gary Neville downing tools until they got a monster salary increase?

This is not Ole's fault. It's what happens when you bring the wrong types of managers in. Ole deserves to rebuild bringing in players that hopefully have the winning DNA, and not just divas who will flirt with whoever is offering more.

You know the wine is poisoned but you're going to drink it anyway? Than admit that you are wrong, impressive.:smirk:

Players will sack him next season. 5 years from now and this place will still be blaming our 8th manager post SAF for team's failure while our clowns are stealing their wages and our incompetent board are fecking up the squad.

The club is going nowhere.

He was brilliant after Ole arrived for a fairly lengthy period of time to the point where people were calling him one of the best midfielders in the world. The hype was getting over the top but it's fairly clear he's a very good player who can do incredibly well when utilised correctly.

Someone who cost that much should have way more diversity to his game than he does and not have to be given such special treatment to be at his supposed best.

Aye, we backed Mourinho to the hilt. The creeping revisionism that our previous managers weren't responsible for their own failures is baffling. It's possible for our issues to both stem from board level and from the managers as well.

Think about how quickly the narratives about downed tools, players not being good enough, and managers not being backed came back. It's easier to assign blame to individual groups like the players, "the board" and Woodward because it allows you to retain faith that the manager can fix things. Realistically, it's all broken and everyone from Ed to Ole to his coaching staff to the players is to blame.

I've thought for years that hiring a strong DoF would help fix things. At this point, I don't think that would do much at all in isolation. The club's footballing operations need to be razed to the ground and rebuilt from the ground up.

If he doesn't use the word "shit" at some point, I'll be disappointed.

I have "pathetic", "gutless", "playing for their united futures" and "not worthy of the shirt" on my ole bingo card.

I'm not at all hopeful.

Well we can either sack him now or support him over the summer. Either way it probably won't solve anything.

We could quite possibly be 11 points off the top 4 next week. The exact same place when we sacked Jose.

Heh funny stat that Pep's City lost at Everton 4-0 a couple of years ago. Just goes to show how quickly things can change.
Hold on are you saying Pep didn't resigned and live the rest of his years in a cave ?

What a complete fraud of a football manager.

I'm on board with him not fussing about renewing any of these players contracts. They can all fecking disappear down the horizon and I wouldn't shed a tear.

I want to see a wage structure back in place at this club.

Ironic really that if Ole wasn't given a contract yet he definitely wouldn't be given one now after recent results. Way to jump the gun Woody!
Someone said we didn't need a plan b, that making a manager permanent after 2 successive defeats, when we had time to make a decision, was sensible. That person probably hasn't commented in this thread much lately.

Think he'd quit before being sacked. He actually loves the club. If he knew he were the problem, he'd take the high road. The type of football he's trying to play, the squad can't deliver.

He signed for the future.

Is it feck.

What type of football is it? Genuine question? Because I honestly cannot tell at all at the moment.

Why oh why did the clowns in charge not stick to what they said and wait until the end of the season to make a decision on the manager.

We will exchange one group of mercenaries for another.

I'm not saying don't spend money. But doing it in a state of panic when everyone knows we are desperate will just see us getting fleeced in the market.

I say sacrifice next season and restructure. Woodward isn't the answer and has shown so.
I'm not saying panic spend on overpriced ex stars or whatever. Get the right players in to replace the dross that need to leave.

I start to think he is not good enough. Tactically we have been poor for months and when the motivation goes down we look terrible. Most of our attackers have lost form and look clueless about what to do. That is partly to do with the management as well in my view.

We need better players no doubt, but I am not sure Ole is the man to take us to the next level. Hopefully we can have a really good summer and get some top players in.

this is based on nothing. in fact, him having an emotional attachment to the club might lead him to believe he can turn it around way longer than he should. Some of our fanbase don't even want to question him due to the same emotional attachment

Worst thing that you can do when you make a mistake it is to stick with it. No matter what, you must accept that you were wrong and start over again. Ole was mistake.
Stop talking about players, Mourinho or "give him one transfer window". We are in the same place as we were under Mourinho. After 5 bloody months. No progress in game style at all. To be dominated by Barca or PSG is fine, but when you are after 5 months in charge dominated by West ham, Watford, Wolves and Everton than you are clearly out of depth.
He got the job only because he is OGS. If he was xy guy from Norway league, no way that we would even think about him.

I will be abused because of this but i would sack him and bring another coach. If that means that i don't support our manager, fine. Then i don't support him. I will live with that. Why would i support someone who is not good enough for my club? Why did you all turned your back to Lvg and Jose? Because they weren't good. I don't need 12 more months of Ole to realise that he is not good for us. It is obvious for me.
What will one transfer period change? Not much. Ole is this what we see now. Average coach who got the job because he is United legend. If some of you can't see that now then you will see it next season.

Madrid was brave enough to sack Solari. We should do that also

Agree with this. It sounds crazy, but this is my opinion too.

Well someone agreed to give Jones, Smalling and Young new contracts.

To be honest, I think giving him the contract was a bit premature.
He had a favorable start to his job here, and apart from the PSG result away, we've done what we should have considered 'expected'

As for sacking him. We can't. No way the board would, especially this early.
If anything, I'd go along with Ole would rather walk, for the love of the club if he felt he was out of his depth

Honestly I was in for completely backing him in the summer but if you lose 4-0 to Everton there is something seriously wrong. The football we play is absolutely atrocious and signing some mediocre players in the summer won't change that. My gut feeling tells me this is going to end up badly and that feeling is usually never wrong.

Let's see with what kind of shi7 he's going to come out.
I think that he should do a Mourinho after this game and absolutely roast players like Lukaku, Martial and Rashford. They couldn't be bothered today.

I'm sick of all the "they need to take responsibility, this is Man united, we need to perform" and shi7 like that. He needs to give them a proper fecking rinse and also needs to get his head checked for the absolutely atrocious selection he's made in the last few games.

Sevilla are a decent team who have won many EL so that is expected considering our level. I will give you the Fulham game but atleast we tried. Don't remember either PSV or Danish team so can't be this bad.

Its not the defeat that was bad vs Sevilla but the absolute pathetic lack of not even giving a feck from players and manager. You think loosing to a dutch and danish team is (:wenger:) higher than loosing to everton (who got points from pool/Arsenal/Chelsea in their last 3 home games)? Everton aren't that good but loosing to a dutch team and a danish is always worse, just because you don't remember it doesn't change that fact, unless you think a danish team is better than a mid table prem team.

What exactly has gone wrong in the last 5 weeks? The players looked like they wanted it and gave everything. But in the last few weeks everything has fallen apart. It seems something very big and potentially bad has happened.

Can't just keep bringing in player after player like some conveyor belt and hoping for the best. I am happy with 3 quality players that are right.
Lukaku & Sanchez can get out however

We can bring in the right players. We have 52 scouts is it? There are targets there that have been long standing.

Alderweirald, Koulibali, Joao Felix, Sancho, Saul, Rodri, Munier, Rice, Tierney, Bruno Fernandes, Ruben Neves are examples of attainable targets who would undoubtedly lift the quality of the side.

The problem is we won't spend what is needed in one window.

Also why Sanchez? He's barely been given any chance whatsoever. Lukaku was shite today. So shite. And yet Rashford and Martial were able to be just as shit or even shitter. Martial for fecksake. How can anyone want to sell Lukaku over Martial? It's a joke.

He signed for the future.

Nobody loves the club more than money tbf. And it's unfair to expect him to resign and leave millions on the table.
