You're saying in the whole of Manchester United only ole knew about the injury? Not the medical team or rashford team mates who he talks to everyday?

That's not what she's saying at all. Rashford had already been diagnosed with a single fracture. He's Been carrying a machine around the last few weeks so it was pretty clear to everyone he should of been resting. It's true Ole listens to the medical team before making decisions but I'm sure the medical team didn't say that Rashford was 100% because he obviously wasn't. Ole played the percentage game and lost and instead of a single fracture Rashford is now dealing with a double which could have long term consequences and I'm not just talking about this season.

Spurs failure - he reached the Champions League final with Tottenham, fecking Tottenham Hotspurs.

He improved a lot of players they bought on the cheap or from the academy. Kane, Walker, Alli, Eriksen, Son, Lucas even players like Sissoko. One thing all our managers have struggled to do with us is improve the players they have signed.

So have Monaco, Dortmund, Valencia and Porto in recent years - shall we follow them also?

Fair enough but Klopp has apparently the best team on the planet whilst regularly playing the likes of Matip, Milner, Henderson, Lalana, Ox etc.... imagine those 5 players at United they’d be useless but with proper coaching and a proper system they shine.

Half of Leicester’s squad now look world class,12 months ago they were 16th in the table and looking shite before Rogers came in, he’s got Jonny Evans looking like one of the best Cb’s in the prem.
An injury to Ndidi and coincidentally Leicester have lost two games in a row to Southampton and Burnley.

Pereira is crap. We will see how good Martial is now the teams goals are dependant on him. I do agree about Fred, but Maguire, Lindelof have got worse, DDG still makes the odd howler. Lingard should not be here at all.

I just think we are letting Ole and his coaches learn on the job, which is not what a club the size of Manchester United should be about.
He is crap. He's fecking useless. Look at the midfielders the teams above us have. Then look at what we have right now. There's no comparison.

I think Ole is a clever manager to be honest. His tactics were good again today. TAA and Robertson were kept quiet. We created some good situations but the quality of of the final pass or shot wasn't there.

Replace Pereira with a good player and we'd have probably scored a couple. If the club were serious about winning games Bruno would have been there today. But they aren't. So Ole has to try and make do with players like Pereira and Lingard.

And then get told his tactics and coaching are to blame when they inevitably aren't good enough. Attacking midfielders that can't pass or shoot. Hows that supposed to work? Pogba is the only midfielder in the squad who can pass the ball forward. And hes been injured all season.

Fred has a middle aged man beside him and people wonder how teams can walk through our midfield. I'm sick of having to make this point again and again. We've the youngest team in the league and have no midfield. Barring set pieces I'm not sure what Ole and the lads are supposed to be doing wrong here.

Such a great post, you want to sack a united legend to go after a spurs failure whose never won shit - sort yourself out

Forget his club legend status it’s just nice to have a manager I respect.

Here it is people, the Ole in's real agenda. Couldn't give two shits that Ole has accomplished far far less than the "spurs failure", he's a club legend which makes him absolutely qualified to take us to the top, club legend = top manager credentials after all.

And it's okay, we could be up shit creek, so long as fergiesarmy1 respects the guy thats all that matters.

It's a managerial appointment based on nothing but emotion, nostalgia and blind optimism. Absolutely nothing backs it up beyond that.

Giving him the job permanently was the worst decision in the past 20 years exactly for that reason

The main thing and if you can’t see it shame on you.

What?! If you ignore Ole as a player for this club. Based purely on his CV and his time as manager here, what has he done to deserve so much time and 'respect'?

That's what I'm trying to figure out. You said only ole knew

Between the fans and Ole only he knew, the post I was replying to said fans were moaning that Ole didn’t bring him vs Wolves then moaned when he brought him on then got injured.

Henderson and Lallana would be huge upgrades on Matic and Andreas.

Gees some on here are delusional and have no idea. If you have a moment you should read into Liverpool's success (which btw is only a champions league trophy thus far). Its about all the 1%ers. Klopp is not a magician, the club and he have identified and recruited top notch backroom staff to suit there needs, from coaches, conditioning coaches, to nutritionists and psychologists. Its been a process since 2016.

We are finally on a good path, and Ole is doing wonders with what is at his disposal thus far. Whether Ole is manager for the next decade or just a couple more years, he has managed to steer the ship that is our club with all it's backroom management issues in the right direction for once.

feck me, I don’t even know what to say to that.

If I’m wrong on this one fair enough, but the number of people who want a guy out while trying to sort out a shitshow of a squad left over after the failures of Moyes, LVG and Jesus under the leadership of the equaliser and the glazers for yet another manager that likely enough won’t change what we are seeing is amazing.

Got Cardiff relegated who then deemed him not good enough to lead them forward and sacked him and won some trophies in a dead league, with said team now doing better since he left. Good credentials imo.

You'd honestly think going by some here that we were living in fecking caves with 1 football training pitch, no gym, no nutritotinists and sports scientists before Ole blessed us with his presence. Even more so it's worrying that such tripe is getting likes from mods/admins.

Thought we looked quite decent today. Still don't understand the no coaching argument. Every player, bar Lindgard and maybe Pereira, Lindelof and Shaw, look much improved. Even Fred looks a real player now. We've done quite well vs the better teams in the league. Tactics today was pretty spot on considering no Rashford, Pogba or McTominay. Some might argue our three best players.

How do people put not enough signings on Ole? Pretty well established we've tried for quite a few players in the summer and now in January. Blame the right people when making an argument. Or at least the most likely people.

Someone said Ole should have made public his disappointment in lack of signings. Why, and unsettle a pretty young squad? Rather he let known he trusts the players he's got. Anyone seen the shortlist of players he wants? May well have been communication we don't know of.

From what little we see of the behind the scene stuff, looks to me he's doing a pretty good job.

Don’t understand any united fan that still likes him, he put himself first every single time regardless of the effect it had on the team.

I liked Mourinho before he joined and liked him up until the 3rd season when he played up, but in truth was he wrong? He was putting pressure on a board who wouldn’t back him, and the same thing is still happening. He had the balls to take on Woodward unlike Ole who pretends to be happy with the squad when it’s clear as day we need players. And his quotes this month have gone from:

‘We are looking to bring in players not sell players’. The club captain is sold.

‘We are still looking to bring in one or two player’.

Post match discussing Rashford’s injury. ‘We are looking at some short term players until the end of the season’. Surely Zlatan was the obvious choice if this was actually planned?

Those same conditions applied to previous managers too. We should have just stuck with Moyes, LVG or Mourinho. They had to deal with the same conditions, so their failures and lack of progression could of also been justified as such. Fact of the matter is, they weren't good enough, just as Ole isn't.

Also you're being extremely hopeful if you think a yes man like Ole is going to change anything above him. If a manager like Mourinho who is happy to literally feck the whole club to change the system couldn't do it, there isn't a chance in hell Ole is changing shite. The guy has won the lottery, which is evident in him smiling like a mad man despite getting bent over by relegation teams at times.

Actually Ole has accomplished more but yeah let’s go mental for an argie whose won nothing in his life apart from 2 Micky mouse cups.

You're just replying because you feel like you've got to. You don't.

I'm not here to fight for Poch's honour, but Ole isn't even in his stratosphere. Our manager is just really bad. Club legend, lovely guy though.

By his own words he said Rashford was struggling and he chose to play him, not the medical staff. It’s Ole’s fault and pointless to say otherwise, just accept it and move on. He risked Rashford because he was scared to lose a cup game, now he’ll have to deal with consequences.

I didn't say had a previous fracture though ? I said what in the quote, that he was struggling with several knocks and thus Ole said he didn't want to play him, but risked it and backfired. If he was cleared to be fully fit by the medical stuff then why Ole said things like "didn't want to play him" and "backfired" ?. I think most logical assumptions based on such quote is the medical stuff told him he's not injured but he's having knocks and better to be rested, thus he didn't want him to play and put him on the bench and when we were winning decided to risk it, and it ended up in an aggravated injury.

Rashford has struggled with his back his entire career. He has played loads the last couple of months and he got a big knock that resulted in an injury. Again, the medical staff's job is to evaluate players. If he was at high risk of a long term injury he would not even be training, never mind playing. Yes, they knew he struggled a bit and Ole fecked up by playing him, but most of all the medical staff fecked up by not realizing the seriousness of his injury

Its really the same as the Pogba injury. Before Rochdale we know he had scans of his ankle and they declared him fit to play, resulting him aggravating his injury and being out for months.

He's living his entire United career on the back of that flukey win away to PSG. It is the worst thing that could've happened to our club and I wish they'd knocked us out. That game was cursed, and it has led to us appointing the manager of Cardiff/ Molde as the manager of the biggest club in world football (or used to be).

You can’t be serious. What is it that you see? You just have blind faith because you ‘respect’ the manager.

For the first time since Fergie we actually have someone in charge who wants what’s best for the club. Every other manager brought in donkeys for immediate effects with no thought to the future of the club from the likes of fellaini to Schweinsteigar to Sanchez. Each ruining us bit by bit.

Ole is taking shit on the chin by trying to clean the crap out and playing the youth but we have fans who aren’t happy unless it’s mega money signings, whether you like it or not, see it or not he is improving us.

The stratosphere of an unemployed trophyless manager and player.

Forget his club legend status it’s just nice to have a manager I respect.

Respect as a player? Yes
As a person? Yes (as much as I can say I respect someone I have never met)
As a manager? No. What for? Winning a 5th rate league? Getting Cardiff relegated? Spending huge sums at United on marginal upgrades?

The opposite, we would never succeed under Jose or LVG under these conditions (not even willing to discuss Moyes)

I actually think Ole could make the best out of the shitshow we are in, its all my opinion of course which seems to make a lot of you angry. Sorry.

Ole Gollum Solskjaer brings them up secret ways that nobody else could find. Tired he is, thirsty he is, yes thirsty; and he guides them and he searches for paths, and they saw sneak, sneak. Very nice friends, O yes my precious, very nice.

Wow I got banned for calling another poster a prick

If after 16 years of watching Jose operate you don’t see him for what he is then I can’t have a conversation with you about him.

Gees, does everything just go over you're head? Good on you

Dude needs sacking last year. This is Moyes's level of idiocy.

EDIT: Just watched the interview and he never said that. I apologise for the error. I usually check things like that but given what he's said in recent times, I genuinely thought it was legit...

I saw a man who won a lot of trophies, had a particular disliking to Liverpool and always had good things to say about Manchester United before he got the job.

He’s a selfish man but most serial winners are. Have you seen the state of Klopp, Pep and Fergie when they lost?

@fergiesarmy1 - Maguire is far from useless (not what I said) but an 80m upgrade on Smalling? You saw today what a genuinely world class defender looks like but sadly he was in red.
