I think the perfect time for sacking him after Newcastle defeat away. We had a 2 weeks international break and we had a good enough time to sack and appoint another manager early in the season. However we didn't.

For the moment it kinda feel pointless to sack with Jan transfer window beginning and of course the more we go into the season the more it becomes pointless.

So I guess best option currently is to let him finish the season. It's probably a write off anyway, with such thread thin skin I doubt we will finish 4th or win EL. Let him finish the season then appoint Poch in summer.
Yes that's when I went firmly in the Ole out camp. That result was unacceptable. Saying that most of our losses are unacceptable. We recently lost to Watford who are rock bottom of the Premier league and had only won 1 game. We recently lost to Arsenal who were 15 games without a win. Old Ole is the man who keeps on giving right.

Our defence is never organised. Our press is never organised. We have no pattern to our attack.

It is simply sit back, hope the other team come forward and leave space behind, win the ball and hit it up to the forwards and hope they can make it stick.
Exactly this. After 12 months in charge. I respect Ole in brigade. They have opinion and i respect that but how Ole fans can't see that he is not doing good job?
Every single our game is the same. Give the ball to Rashford and Martial and let them to do something against deep defence or if other team plays attacking then we try to play on James like in FIFA. Give him ball and then he runs 50 m down the flank.

Last month or two i keep reading posts which are repeating the same lies over and over again.

1) Shit squad. Our squad is not shit. It is not world class but it is space shuttle for Watford, WH, Saints, Newcastle, SU, Bournemouth and other midtable and low table clubs which took points from us and some even dominated us whole game.
2) Selling deadwood. Except Darmian, Ole didn't sold deadwood. Lukaku, Alexis, Fellaini and Smalling are not deadwood. Not saying that selling them was bad move but Jones and Lingard are real deadwood. Pereira, Matic, Mata and Young are close to that. But they are all here.
3) Playing kids. Ole doesn't play kids much more than Jose or especially Lvg did. I am not obsessed with playing kids but when you take that as his plus then lets talk about it; he still prefers Lingard over Gomes and Greenwood despite he could have install them long time ago in first 11 and play them. In general only Williams and Greenwood are two kids who got a chance. Others got some minutes in irrelevant games like they would get under any manager.
4) Attacking football. He is not playing attacking football. He is more defensive than Mourinho.
5) Bought excellent players. Players that he bought did not upgraded squad much. They are not flops but that money we could have spent better. Defence is leaking goals the same as did last year.
6) Results. Results are shambolic. 8 wins in 21 game is our worst start ever in PL era. And reason for sacking.
7) "He didn't have other solution" phrase. Match preparation and his tactical decisions during the games are awful. Wrong lineups, always the same 4231 formation which obviously doesn't work, waits too long to change things. If something is awful after 45 minutes, why wait another 15-20 minutes? If you don't have no10, play 352 or 433. If other team is creating chance after chance, do something ffs. Change something. Be a manager. Football game is not pick 11, pick formation and see you after 90 minutes.

Only thing what he is building here is midtable club. If we give him time and money he will build that. Longstaff and Rice are his targets. Seriously?

Safe to say no one is coming in. He is relying on the likes of Fosu Mensah coming back (who we will no doubt see tried in DM)

Yep, I get Jan is difficult to sign players but one more injury to a forward and more importantly a midfielder and we are fecked. Irrespective of people's thoughts about Fred, he is currently being overplayed and another injury is around the corner.....

As the man himself said, as long as we lose only once a month, we are golden. That's our aim as a club.
In fairness, judging game by game is going to make you crazy as a fan. Every time we fail to win it feels bad, every loss feels awful. We've got better as the season has gone on though. Since the October internationals we have won 11, drawn 4 and lost 4. League only is won 6, drawn 4 and lost 3.

I just hope we have plenty more green on there by 17th Feb when we play Chelsea.. That will mean we likely have a cup final, a fight for top four and are possibly still in the FA cup. If not, it might just be Europa League or bust.

If they aren't giving him any cash this January I think that shows that his future is definitely not certain. No way are they going to throw another £100m at him and then sack him within 3-6 months.

We will soldier on with no new signings and maybe a loan or two at most and Poch will takeover in June.

Not backing him this month means he'll be sacked before the end of the season.

The only thing we've got is financial muscle and we're deliberately choosing not to use it. We've spent a lot of money on the wrong players over the years and now we're just deciding not to spend instead? How fecking hard is it to buy the correct players for the team you want? It's almost like we don't have a fecking clue what we're doing and have decided against appointing a DOF despite that being the correct thing to do...

Could be lots of reasons.

1. Our targets might be looking at us and thinking 'No thanks'
2. They (Glazers) could be looking to sell the club and don't want to over invest. Would make sense. Why would you keep pumping millions in if you're looking for a buyer / the right sale price.
3. We still owe quite a lot of money from previous transfer deals we're still paying off and we're not in the CL. That will definitely decrease the budget.

And there are other reasons too. None of us know for sure what's going on.

Possibly. But what I belive myself to be doing is trying really hard to see the other side. Ole out, it's clear as day, he's not fit to be our manager, he has no plan, Lingard, Lukaku and Smalling, Cardiff, he said this and that, etc, etc.

There's obviously a plan. Re signings, style of play, youth, squad, probably communication even. The 'Ole out's' on here can most likely guess on the type of players we're looking to sign for this team. And who is most likely not to be a part of the team come next season. You/they might not agree on every player we in the end buy or sell, but there seem to be a plan in place.

This squad is not better then what we see. He should play Matic more? Or Mata, Jones, some prospect? Lingard should not play? Sure, that might all be. There will always be something not good enough. We should not have sold X player without replaceing him. Sure. Maybe. I don't know who makes that final decission. I'm guessing not one person alone. I wish we had better players right now as well.

May be in the end he is not the man for the job. But from what I have seen so far, from very good to very bad, I can not say that OGS is the reason we are not doing better. He and the club has to rectify many mistakes been done before OGS was given the job.
When people say there isn't a plan they tend to mean there isn't a plan or capability in the manager that's good enough to take is to the top. Even Moyes had a plan. But either the plan or the man implementing it was wank.

And no, this squad IS better than what we are seeing. It's the same difference you'd see in the same team managed by Big Sam and SAF/Pep. Unless we genuinely believe is a top top manager. And who really believes that? He's done nothing to prove that to anybody.

That doesn't include his interim run, that's only full time results.

There's enough shit to beat the manager with at the moment, lets not use misleading stats to make stuff up as well.
It's the way, mate – use permanent role stats to prove how bad he is and use interim stats to prove it was new manager bounce :wenger:

The more I think about it, the more I don't want us to spend any money until ole, glazers/ed have gone.

What's the point of spending if the people spending haven't got a clue?
Rather save it up for the right manager/DoF team to invest wisely.

Nothing misleading about it. It's only correct to point out that absymal statistic. If a team loses 20 PL games on the bounce nobody would begrudge the media from citing that form /run begging for the prior form to also be included.

Maybe my english, but are you saying the manager, OGS, does not have a plan? Then, do you really belive that? A $3-4billion company, apoints a manager, after three failed ones and goes, hey, novice, you go right ahead, do as you please.

In a league where Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea and some would argue City are all struggeling. You are saying this squad, MUFC's squad, is good enough to do better then what we've seen?

Ole is doing a fantastic job. He worked miracles after taking over from Jose, who left us in a terrible state. He just needs time. You can't possibly expect him to get top 4 without 4 or 5 transfer windows.

He's like Dutch Van Der Linde, he has a plan, he just needs time and money. Where is your god damn faith?

Yes, I believe OGS does not have a plan, 12 months in charge and there is no style.

Doesn't matter the size of the company if people who are in charge are not good enough, the company will fail.

Spurs cannot be counted as one of the big teams, they have only recently come onto the block.

So you can mention clubs like Chelsea who have had transfer ban, City who have won 2 titles in 2 years but how about Wolves, Sheffield and the like?

United had never gone 500 minutes without scoring from open play until...Solskjaer.

United have never gathered under 30 points in the PL era by Boxing Day until... Solskjaer.

United had won their last 4 matches to open a new calendar year until...Solskjaer.

Since getting the job full-time, Ole Gunnar Solskajer's win rate at Manchester United is just 29.5%.

Ole Trivia.
Really? What period was this? 500 mins! No open play goal in 5 and a half games?

Yeah people do not understand it needs to get worse before it gets better. Cardiff was wrong to sack him since he would have taken them to new levels with time. At Molde it worked well since they gave him time.

If we just clear the deadwood and play with our academy players things will work fine. He has already started the process.
Lingard is not deadwood though since he is one of our own so he should always start. Also we should spend huge money on overrated players in order to raise confidence for our academy players. When they see how bad the rest in our team is they will raise the level to get a spot in the side.
Worked with all our youths so far so let's keep faith!

Genuine question for you @e.cantona, do you honestly believe Fergie or Klopp wouldn't be on more than 8 wins in 21 with this side?

Honest answer. SAF, I dont know. Probably better. Maybe not. Klopp? I don't think he would. Maybe.. May be I would do a better job. I doubt it. But maybe..

There you go, delusion at it finest.

And that's why some fans will never see sense, they think managing is unimportant.

I have to repeat this here, we have a poster here claiming Sir Alex Ferguson or Jörgen Klopp would maybe not, or not, do a better job than OGS at United this season.

Where is your god damn faith? Ole has a plan. He just needs time and money. Tahiti.

I had faith, he has had 12 months, how much time does he realistically need?

The reason I lose faith is every 2/3 performances there is always one where we look lost, out of sorts and out run. This has been going on since Everton last year, Cardiff, Huddersfield then into this year at Southampton, Bournemouth, West Ham, Watford, Arsenal, Newcastle.

He doesn't come across nearly as stressed as he should do. I suppose thats what happens when you know you're very safe in your job.
Ole has a strange approach! Even the untouchable SAF showed anger, stress and frustration. He'd sometimes bollock the team even after a win if it wasn't convincing!
