I remember now. He then got wind of the excuse and used it in a press conference "even Fergie would struggle with this lot" or something similarly preposterous. SAF even came out to defend the squad he left him after he was sackedIndeed. But if you remember at the time the excuse for Moyes and from Moyes was that the squad was rubbish and was lucky the year before.
