Didn't do any harm that's for sure. Seems to do OK in the big games because we are the underdogs, it's the games against the next few he's shit in

Tactics were OK but you can’t expect us to defend with Rojo, Lindeljof and Young for an hour. Really poor judgment and that’s what cost us the game. We should have kept going in the same way.

What alternatives did we have?

People will moan as usual but he got it right today. Good tactics and the players were very motivated.

Undone by poor personnel as usual. Young and Rojo fecked it for the goal.
Undone by parking the bus for the entire 2nd half as usual when we lead 1-0 and inviting the pressure.

Bringing on a defender in the closing minutes of a draw got Mo slaughtered on here, yet not a peep from the Ole in brigade today about that.

Will the weak squad excuse be used against Norwich or how we lost to Newcastle?
Its not really an excuse. It will and should be used for every game till we dont fix it. If we are winning, its despite it.

We need at least 1 right winger, a striker and 2 midfielders. All top players and not kids with "potential" or squad fillers.

Why is he that? Rubish. We have problems breaking low blocks due to the players available not that Ole is a counter attacking manager  there is no such thing

So we have trouble breaking down Newcastle because we don’t have any players. Ok.

I don’t see Bournemouth moaning about players yet they play a better brand of football than us.

This is the same as the PSG game. Well almost. Back then an underdog performance where we sat back for 90 mins and played on the counter got him the job. Now it's probably saving him. For a few weeks at least. The big problems will occur when we are the ones that need to create again.

He deserves credit. But he's not outdone anybody. Creating is more difficult than nullifying. Also, Livepool were absolutely awful.

He's done well to get us organised and playing with energy but at the end of the day playing like limited underdogs is easier than fixing our actual problems which is where Ole is failing.

We matched them man for man for large periods of the game and deserved to win outright.

We didn't look like underdogs to me. Liverpool were lucky to escape with a point all things considered.

I think it was the right way to approach it. We don't have the players right now to dictate that game.

Why? If you have a stronger squad relative to AZ, Rochdale, Alkmar, Newcastle etc.. Why should we have to point to how we have a weak squad compared to what wed like to have?

You have to consider circumstances. An off form team decimated by injuries playing against an on form European champions which have not lost a game for some time.
The off-form team is also Ole's doing. It's not like he has had no hand in it. Frankly, if Ole wasn't the legend he was for us, this performance would have been crucified by the fans. Mourinho actually had us play slightly better offensively even when we parked the bus. The second half today was horrible to watch. Holding on to dear lives at home the entire second half.

We had a fecking 20% possession in the 2nd half. If it's acceptable to you - fine but to me it's ridiculous.

Ole did well today but you are pushing it now

The long winning runs of top teams usually come to a stop against teams that are struggling.

Extremely happy we didn’t lose... but really hope people don’t think this is some new dawn under Ole

He did a lot of things right today, but he seems absolutely incapable of how to manage or change his approach during the game when his team's performance starts to drop.

Does Ole not deserve credit for outdoing Klopp this afternoon?

His tactical decision to deploy us in a 352 completely nullified Liverpool this afternoon, something which no club has been able to achieve against them all season.

Credit where it deserves?
Got it right with 352, i give him that but then in second half showed why he is limited coach. Didn't react on Klopp's changes. Didn't react at all. He just parked the bus. 45 minutes of being parked in your penalty area is hardly outsmarting someone.

Undone by parking the bus for the entire 2nd half as usual when we lead 1-0 and inviting the pressure.

Hoping to hit them on the counter, you mean, which is perfectly acceptable given the circumstances; injuries, our current league position and the quality of the opposition.

They don't play against low defensive blocks almost every game with 60-70% possesion. With Pogba and Martial back we will be better at it.

Should play with 5 at the back until the new year now to compensate for the midfield's lack of quality.

Ffs, people will complain no matter what... I despise our fans sometimes...

There's some of the same people here bitchin' that were saying we will lose 0-5 (probably hoped & disappointed we didn't)

No idea what he is smoking. Parking the bus and hoofing the ball forward to our fast players was what everyone predicted us to do anyway. And we had that before. Also it's not where we are struggling anyway. This should be the what we are actually good at. Still can't get a win.
It's not the tactical masterclass but I guess we can at least say he didn't harm his prospects like previous weeks. In game management still leaves some to be desired.

Subs could have been made earlier when we were wasting breakaway opportunities on long hoofs. He also took a big risk shouting them to go even more compact. It ceded space in wide areas and we know Liverpool can whip in a cross. They had all the time and space to make that cross that led to the goal

They created nothing besides the goal - which was a defensive error more than anything.

And the quality of our coaching staff/manager.

Brilliant brilliant performance against the kings of Europe in supreme form. Today i saw every player play for the club for the manager.

Once again after our lead he decided to park the bus. And once again we conceded a goal. When you stop playing after 45 minutes you will concede a goal. It is simple as that. It happened now against Saints, Liverpool, Arsenal and Wolves. Even against Rochdale we stopped playing after we scored.
I can't wait that he goes away from this club. People shit on Jose and don't want Allegri because of that while we have coach who knows only to play defensive football.

Couldn't agree more, he plays defensive football just like Jose did but can't seem to grind out the wins. We simply stop playing after scoring a goal and invite so much pressure, that it becomes inevitable any small mistake THAT close to the goal will be punished.

Yes because Pogba and Martial have been missing for six months. Have you been watching us for the last six months?

We didn't look like underdogs to me. Liverpool were lucky to escape with a point all things considered.
So how can it be that the squad is shite for the last 6 months or so, considering we were missing Pogba, Martial for all but 5 mins and Shaw, yet we matched the best team in the league currently man for man?

He may have some.good ideas but I don't think he is good at management. I want him to.do well but I don't see any improvements.

He got it right tactically and the players showed they're still behind him.
We really need to win the next few matches though, or he won't be able to carry on with us.

I've always said this it's the perception of the players which is bad. Half of them aren't as bad as their performances portray. There's no calibre of player that Ole is going to improve, he's just not a top tier manager.
Of course. The players are capable when coached right and when we set up correctly.

Credit where its due, he did exceptionally well today considering the team he had, our form, injuries, etc. Allegri would have been proud of those tactics.
