Looks dead inside when he's watching the game. This job was too big for him after all.

I love Ole and he’s a club legend but he has to go now. The same mistakes over and over, no clear patten of play unlike Rodgers and Lampard who have had similar/worse conditions. He hasn’t got the coaching ability unfortunately.

Bye 20legend.

I don’t think Liverpool should be the game in which he gets sacked for if we lose. They are exceptionally good and I can’t imagine too many fans expecting us to get anything out of it.
They'll take smug satisfaction out of him getting sacked off the back of them beating us too, sullying the reputation of a United legend and all that,

I honestly expected us to do worse, this wasn't a bad display looking at how we've played in the previous 3 games.
True, Arsenal miscalculated heavily by going on the defensive. Ole persisting with 4-2-3-1 despite not having the players for it is just idiotic.

Are you having a laugh? The football is horrendous, no patterns of play at all, zero identity. And he's had time to amend that. I'm not even going into the questionable 'good attitudes' argument.
Are you having trouble reading?
He's trying imo. It isn't working working. I never said it's going to plan.

Why aren't you getting into the good attitudes argument?

Well said. The same formation, the same players who are just not cutting it up front. The first sign of madness is to keep trying the same thing over and over again, and expecting a different result.

...so Keano says he needs to be given time.

Keano isn’t one to sugar-coat, but I assume this is just down to him coddling Ole or being a shill for United, right? Or just straight up clueless, and the raging mob on the Caf knows better?

I don’t care what any of our ex players that played with Ole have to say. If my mate got the job i’d back him in Public too. I mean he’s getting paid to manage. Good on my mate.

He has no respect to the fans, otherwise he would resign because the job is bigger than him, but holding on the job because it is his dream while 600 m supporter suffer because of that is a disgrace.

fans like you deserve us being shite to be honest. So lacking in respect (ironically) and just red faced anger posts.

That is a stupid argument. Attack his defensive organisation, attacking coaching, substitutes or whatever, but that is ridiculous.
He is fecking smiling while we are climbing the table backwards. He know's it, the fans know's it, everybody know's it that he is not fecking good enough. He just landed the jackpot by securing the job thanks to our stupid CEO.

By the sounds of it half the so called “fans” in here should run the club, clearly they know better

Klopp was given time....now look how good he’s made Liverpool.

Yet even after players that we bought have worked - and they have - “Fans” still want more and more. United fans are an absolute joke. Too used to winning, spoilt entitled brats. Don’t have the patience and always expect a win and when they don’t get it want to throw out their shiny new toy & when that shiny new toy don’t work how they want it to, they too throw it out and want to change it until they get what they want. Before they realise it doesn’t work and everyone else around them has passed them by when they’re still scrapping around for something they yearn for so much they’d rather destroy the foundations of a club they’ve grown to love because their selfish delusions have made them believe that we should win every game because “we’re man utd”

Well I’m sorry, but as a fan, a REAL fan, you should take the rough with the smooth, we’re in a bad patch right now, don’t be all crazy and delusional and think that man utd will be in a relegation scrap because they won’t, there’s other teams worse than us. Don’t be so ridiculous. Being a fan of a football team requires you to accept losses and accept when its not going the way that you want it to. Well news flash. We simply aren’t as good as we used to be! Get over it!

In time we’ll return to where we were. Admit the fact it will take several years before we dominate again & enjoy the ride along the way.

But the one thing you cannot do is keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. It won’t happen. Give Ole time to get HIS team in and see how results go then.
Brilliant post.

What are we waiting for? We're going nowhere under this pretender. A few extra running sessions isn't going to change that.

Played 15; Won 4, Drawn 5, Lost 6 with -5 GD. Two wins in last 12 Premier League matches. Club record 7 Premier League matches without an away win. No clean sheet away from home in any competition since his permanent appointment. Just 18 goals scored in last 21 matches. Scored more than 1 goal just once in last 15 matches.

The existing players are going backwards, coaching is non-existant, in-game management is abysmal. Everything that requires competence on the training ground or in matches he is completely out of his depth at.

Good-bye.

I feel sorry for the guy. He is not to blame for being offered the job. Nobody would refuse that opportunity.

I agree but he must of realised by now that he isn't up to the job. If he loves the club as much as he says he does then he'd resign. Thing is I don't think Ed will let him because it will show what a complete dick Ed has been in the first place and then he'd have to embarrass himself all over again looking for a new manager.

Watch here for the next instalment of the highly acclaimed comedy show on EdTV

He has lingering just above the relegation zone. 5 points from 3rd and 4 from 18th. God, I wish he'd leave. Save yourself Ole.

Are you having trouble reading?
He's trying imo. It isn't working working. I never said it's going to plan.

Why aren't you getting into the good attitudes argument?
Because good attitues are shown on the pitch, not in the interviews. Have you seen good attitudes so far this season? I haven't.

If the penalty was awarded we win this game and things don’t look so ugly, it’s gonna get worse before it gets better unfortunately and Ole is going nowhere anytime soon partly because Ed will be admitting he’s messed up yet again.

He looks more shellshocked to me and smiling can be a nervous reaction when people are under a lot of pressure. I seriously doubt he is laughing on the inside, he looked haggard as hell in the post-match interview.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has “no respect” for United fans. So says a bloke that is in all likelihood punching the walls from inside a basement in either the States or South East Asia.

Where are you typing this? In your care on the way back from the game?

Look at him tonight, he looks like a broken man, he's finished. We need to do the right thing and put him out of his misery.

What are we waiting for? For him to be humiliatingly sacked after Liverpool?

fans like you deserve us being shite to be honest. So lacking in respect (ironically) and just red faced anger posts.
Fans like you deserves to this fecking shit show and mediocrity (the manager specially) who call them selves "top reds". Guess what, I support united for more than 30 years and I am not ready to see the club I love get ruined by a stupid CEO and an incompetent manager from the Norwegian league.

For us to crash out of all cups and be 15 points off TOP4 of course. Making proactive decisions is unthinkable to our board.

Just curious on people’s takes, cause I thought it might give them pause. You really think Keane pulls punches because Ole’s his mate?

I’d love to know why Ole and his coaching team settled on 4231 as the way forward. What did that discussion look like? In what way does the starting XI benefit from a 4231 compared to a 433. Pogba’s, McTominay’s and Fred’s best performances have all come when playing in a three. Arguably Matic as well. Almost every modern team overloads the midfield with at least 3 midfielders so if you’re going to sacrifice that control for a traditional no10, he better be worth it. He better be ultra productive or at the very least technically proficient enough to receive the ball between the lines and create space for his teammates. In other words, he better not be Jesse Lingard. Why on earth did they decide to handicap the most creative player in the squad in a double pivot to accommodate Lingard?

I’m not even “Ole in”, quite the opposite, I’ve just some respect and I’m not throwing my toys about.

Whilst I'm against the "no respect" etc statement, that's really a stupid way of deciding who the better or more worthy "fan" is (if there is even such a pointless debate).

I don't know anymore, I feel he should be given more time but this is remarkably bad just don't see him lasting with these results.

We might get relegated and you'll still see the Top Reds here saying "You're spoiled glory hunters who only used to see us winning, stop fecking moaning. I saw United get relegated 60 years ago, it's not a big problem or something new. Trust Ole, he'll turn it on and we'll back in no time" or something.

It’s kind of funny how the posters so vehemently defending Ole keep referring to themselves as “real fans” while other posters who cast their doubts are glory-hunters. They’re so attached to sentiment and can’t seem to entertain the idea that maybe he’s just not good enough. This isn’t an attack on Ole. He never should have been put in this position in the first place but our genius board decided to give him the job anyway. I wish I could say he can turn this around, but I just can’t see it happening. We’re such a shit show right now.

I just have to get one thing off my chest. The people comparing Ole and Klopp really are a special breed.

I've seen us get rid of Sanchez and Lukaku who had bad attitudes. I've seen AWB, James and Maguire come in who have great attitudes. Attitude problems for me now is only Pogba and it's a shame because he is our best player. People question Rashford and lingards attitude but their attitude isnt the problem, their ability is. They aren't good enough for the club and for them to think they are is more confidence than not wanting to be here.

For me I think it's clear that Ole has a plan about how the club should be, and it seems he realises it will take time.

I personally think it wont work for him. Like you say, the football we are playing is horrible and a slight improvement would at least give him some time.

You do know the club is not a local club and fans from the states and south east Asia loves the club just as much as you if not even more, every year I travel to Manchester to support the club and the trip costs cost more than a season ticket (a top red pay). So stop this fans profiling thing, it is ridiculous.

Honestly the forum has become an awful place recently thanks to the amount of top reds who swarmed the forum out of nowhere and telling everyone they're terrible fans and what's the right way to support the club. I'm 100% sure those same posters were just slaughtering everyone in the club under the last 3 managers but now trying to act like they're the real fans and we're glory hunters for slaughtering the current manager.

Who is vehemently defending him?

Yes... Just like Rio, Scholes and Gary. I mean ask them a direct question like is this acceptable they will say no. Then ask them should only be given time. They’ll say yes.

Forget football. Talking just as a man, if you was Ole and you heard your fellow team mate and probably ‘friend’ say you deserve the sack on national tv. Would you be happy. I’m sure they can have a laugh and a joke about it behind close doors. But in public? If Ryan Giggs got the job and was performing like Ole would they criticise him?
