Liverpool got hammered 6 goals by Stoke.. Do you still remember that... football is cyclical.. my friend .. Lets make sure Glazers/Ed do not eat the club alive.. Every team has a plan.. structure in place .. and they are spending money wisely... we have been spending money and buying over the hill stars .. on massive salary... If Jose couldn't fix this team with the current owners .. I doubt anybody will... Unless we start getting serious hits on the balance sheet.. we will always be shit ...
So all we can do is get behind the manager ..
Or... find the right .. manager.....

Inclined to agree. No manager will make us better with these clowns running the club for their own gain. They need to be hit in the pocket that is the only way for them to care.

Solution for our future is so obvious. Fire Ole, hire Poch or Tuchel, give them full 100 % backing on transfer market and we will challenge for title in two years.
With Ole our future is fighting for top 4 despite how many players he gets. Harsh but true

Even with the right structure, I'd have no faith in Ole taking us forward. Just look at the teams we're behind in the table. For heavens sake.

The right manager has to be given the right tools to work with though. There are good managers out there, but this lot love their big name managers.
Of course. But that manager should deserve to be given these “right tools” and Ole on current form simply doesn’t.

I agree. I would love them to go for someone who is up and coming but has a good record and listen to exactly who they want and go out and get them.
Think there are still a lot of players who need shipping out, otherwise a new manager, like the present one, will still have problems.

Its not like this is our first season with the Glazers. Its indicative of just how poor a manager Ole is that hes seen as a worse manager than David fecking Moyes.

I am hoping he can lift them for Monday, otherwise I worry for him with the next two games and then after the internation break with Liverpool.

Re Herrera he got a big offer from Psg and moved on. I believe he committed himself to Psg when Jose was still in.charge.
Re Fellaini, this is classic revisionism. When he was here, he used to get all sort of abuse (now being hurled at Young).
Now he s gone and some people are "missing him".

More names please..

I have always felt that selling Fellaini and not getting a replacement was a folly. Selling him is not an issue. Not finding a replacement is. Herrera would have stayed if he was wanted at the club.
Knowing how bad our midfield has been for a very long time and then getting rid of two players who play an important part and not replacing them is his responsibility.
I would not have send Alexis on loan either but from the comments of RVP something did happen between Alexis and Ole. He should not have extended the contract of Mata and Young either.
He could have got any decent midfielder and they would have been better than what we have apart from Pogba.
Now I can't see us beating Arsenal and then we are closer to the relegation zone than to the top.

So since we beat Chelsea:

We've won 1 in 5, losing 2 and scored 4 goals.
Chelsea have won 3 in 6, losing 1 and scored 14 goals.

I think we need to come to terms with the fact this isn't going to happen under the current board. A manager might get heavily backed in their first window (not you Ole) but we've seen it time and time again that doesn't happen for long. We're fecked.

Fellaini is better than every midfielder we have bar Pogba, maaaaybe McTominay at a stretch. Same applies for Herrera, fact is the club and manager couldn't be arsed to replace either because they thought the CMs were dispensable. Lukaku with all his flaws is still better than any CF we have in the club at the moment. Smalling is better than every CB at the club bar Maguire. So yes, he's got rid of many useful players who could've helped us this season. They were better than their existing counterparts and were never replaced.

Just because a player is getting abuse doesn't mean they deserve it, it applied for Fellaini and Lukaku. It applies for Young too, you're digging yourself into a hole by going down the route of whataboutism.

Even with board restrictions we are still top spenders in Europe. With all due respect I think United fans are out of touch with reality when it comes to the topic of spending. Fans of other clubs must think we're spoilt to be complaining.

Re abuse. Same applies to managers and coaches mate.

Where did I say the abuse to manager and coaches is warranted? Criticism and accountability is fine, to many go OTT but that's not what I support.

Edit: Just as I was making that post, Alexis Sanchez has a brace for Inter in his first full start

Even if Ole is out... we need a massive clearout. ...Jones, Sanchez,Rojo, Shaw, Fred,Mata ,Matic to start with..
Pereira, Smalling, Young i would keep initially, atleast they are useful for some reason..
The current core of DeGea,Awb,Maguire .Pogba( if he wants to stay) ,Rashford .. Marital ,McT , James are good..we just need to fill the other spots with players ...
So atleast how shit Ole has been .and our results have been . he recruited the right players ..
Its better not to buy players.. than to buy shit players on massive salary and be stuck with them
( what we have been doing wrong previously)..

Your posts about Ole gives me another impression :)
Re Sanchez may he score 40 goals so we get a good deal for him next summer :)

Almost got an assist as well, goal was disallowed. Having quite a decent debut.

So who is here to blame? Woodward for not getting a replacement for Alexis and Lukaku or Ole smiling and saying he is ok with it?

Woodward is to blame for many things, but how can he be faulted for not getting a replacement for Alexis? He was loaned out after the transfer window ended. I find it difficult to believe that the decision to loan Alexis out was based on Woodward's judgment (A 10 month loan with no buy option where we're still paying more than 200,000GBP in wages per week is not a good business decision), and even harder to believe that Ole thought he was getting a replacement.

If OgS has a player leave his squad with no chance of a replacement he has no respect at board level & should leave.

Once the window closed for us Sanchez should have stayed.

Let’s be honest I doubt ole expected martial and rashford to get injured at the same time, it’s a pretty freak thing to happen.

that just sums our luck up though.

It's not about luck, it's being naive.

I think there’s a lot more to it than playing the blame game. For all we know ole could have been ripping his hair out demanding reinforcements and Woodward busting his balls trying to get them in. We all know how hard it is for this club to sign players. The decision to then let Sanchez leave late after the window shut was likely a collective one, which I don’t think any one can disagree with the conclusion given his effect on the whole squad seemed to outweigh what he ever did on the pitch. Plus he clearly wanted out.

Re. Sanchez
1. If it goes well for him in Italy it doesn't mean the same thing would have happened if he stayed. Serie A bottom half teams are of much a lower level than their EPL counterparts.
2. Apart from his performances, the biggest issue with Sanchez was his huge wage. It created problems in the dressing room as other players pretended higher wages.
So it was imperative that we get rid of him.

Sanchez out was the right decision. He provided nothing except a drain on our wage bill. No cover for him though is turning out to be a mistake as the young guns haven’t stepped up as maybe they were expected to.

We didn't get rid of him or his wages. He's still our player, on our wage bill. Even if you subtract the 175,000GBP that Inter are paying per week, Alexis is still the 4th highest paid player on our wage bill.

True. Probably they where trying for a Lukaku replacement and didn’t get it over the line. People keep saying Ole is happy with the squad. Yes, he said that after the window shut. But before that he wanted replacements. Dosent mean anyone need to be blamed or abused for it, it might and probably is as simple as not getting the right players over the line. Not a bad way showing some faith in the players he got either, and I’m sure they get challenged to step up. I have watched Inter for 40 years. And Lukaku is the same. Bad touches and and get a few goals. Inter are doing well in defense and leading the pack at the moment. But they haven’t played very well. Starting to get better. Sampdoria is having a mare, and Sanchez have been doing ok, nothing more. Nice to see him score. But rather give the kids some minutes than Sanchez and a player like Mandzukic.

Expect the whole of Redcafe never felt comfortable about going in with the squad we started the season with. This sort of event is very common for us.

2 injuries is a freak thing? To 2 players who play every game?

At the same time? Yes I’d say it’s quite rare. it’s not like they’re long term injuries either which makes it even sillier.

So City's defence looks terrible without their best two centre backs. Is it because he can't coach a defence or because the replacements aren't very good?
