This last page is so weird.

How can Ole be getting any criticism tonight?

Fans wanted youth. 4 youth players starting. Experienced players getting match-fitness. We won the match.

Have a day off you bores.

As someone said they can't see past the manager...its embarrassing but football fans for you.

Carrick, Blind, Mata and Schniderlin would also improve our midfield massively if available today at the ability they had back then.

It’s that quick passing and vision that makes goals.

Very poor finishing of which he is not at fault for, score should have been at least 3-0. My worry is most of those clear chances were also due to Sunday League defending from Astana and not our tactics. Once those errors stopped, we again looked completely clueless.

Some people on here just seem to really hate him. It's bizarre.

Cant name any then?
No, I can't name a match from the top of my head where a team has thrown on 5 youth players and still won the match. I'm 100 percent certain I didn't just watch a world first though. It obviously has happened and wasn't a big deal enough for it to be imprinted permanently in my mind, but I'll have a look through Barcelona team sheets when they play Hospitalet FC or something in the Copa Del Rey and get back to you.

We had plenty of weak games with our reserves under SAF also, plenty.

Youngsters, players not match fit and no team cohesion. It will not be champagne football.

I remember a United youngsters side losing to coventry city... in 2008... what happened in 2008? Probably safs best ever team.

Doesn't matter how good you are as a manager, young players will always struggle against any half decent opposition.

We played three and Rashford was the only one who truly fell into the reserve kid bracket...

The "kid" Varela turned 23 a month after the game....Joe Riley was 19.5...

So we played 2 kids - Rashford and Riley

Fair enough, I’m sure it has also but the reality is that these games with this many changes are generally poor, no matter who’s playing.

We got to see some of our youngsters play today and they won, we can’t really ask for more than that in a match like this. The mini outrage seems a bit over the top to be honest

Are you for real? Riley, Varela and Andreas had barely featured for us. Depay was still 21 and Lingard had played 10-15 times until then. But, yeah, lets ignore facts and go on about how "it happened under Fergie, too".

Some of you guys need to get a grip.

Played kids, and some players playing first games of the season. Created plenty of chances, missed some sitters and hit the woodwork a number of times. I'm not sure what Ole has done wrong to get this criticism.

Look on the bright side, 2 wins on the bounce. Beeat the cockneys sunday and were on our way.

Before the game most posters wanted to see the youngsters playing. Ole played them but result is not going our way
Now everyone s moaning...

As someone said they can't see past the manager...its embarrassing but football fans for you.

Haha what’s embarrassing is his fcking clueless we are as a club & how a lot of the fans don’t give a shit because they want to look like ‘good fans’ No- a good fan would say the truth in order for us to get better.

We have a clueless manager who in tonight’s match didn’t look like we had a plan or knew what we were doing- lots of aimless balls in the box like the Moyes day’s.

An incompetent board who have somehow left one of the most famous & richest clubs in the World with such a poor & light squad that we’re 1 injury away from disaster.

Did you honestly look at that game & think we played well? We didn’t seem to have any plan at all.

Can’t imagine the abuse LVG or Jose would have got for that dross

I rate our young players really highly. I want the best for them and the club. I just think that if we all stopped drinking the red coloured Kool Aid we'd realise that it isn't in the best interests of the club to hire Ole as your manager.

As great as Fergie was, he gave his shitbag son game time. We are all capable of letting our emotions get in the way of rationality. We have an exceptional generation of talent which could very well be wasted by poor coaching. They need a Guardiola or a Poch, not an Ole.

The fact that some think that their fellow United fans hate Ole because we don't rate him as a manager says it all really. You're the ones getting emotional. He'd still be a legend to me if he took us down to the conference.

Exactly. Hit the woodword twice and created plenty of chances. Finishing was poor though, should have been lot more comfortable scoreline.

They can't be Utd fans surely. If they are, they must be trolling.

I never expected to see so much youth tonight, especially in the spine of the team too. Like you said, the experienced players like Rojo, Jones, Matic, Fred, Dalot were gaining match fitness. The only fully fit player out there was Rashford.

It was a courageous show of faith by Ole tonight. Shows how much he believes in them. He should be getting nothing but praise tonight.

I like what he is doing with the team. He is playing the right players at the right time and making the right changes when necessary.

A few things to sort out in attack, but I'm sure the solution will come in time.

Depay was 22 and had played 150 matches for PSV
Lingard was 23 and had made a breakthrough at United - after playing more than 50 matches in the Championship
Varela was inexperienced yes - but he was 23 years old

They played together with Blind, Mata, Schneiderlin, Herrera who were all regulars

Today we had Tuazebe 21, Gomes 19, Rashford 21, Greenwood 17, Dalot 20 and Chong 19 - accompanied by 4 players the majority of United-fans accept arent good enough (Rojo, Matic, Jones, Fred). We started today with 6 players under 22. Against MidtJylland we had 2.

As for Andreas - he came on with 4 minutes left to play in Denmark

It's because we looked exactly the same tonight as we did against wolves, palace and Southampton. We aren't creating or scoring goals. Swap the mason magic for a usual penalty we get and it's the same thing. What is our playing style? Do we have a plan b?

When things weren't going well for pep or klopp result wise you could still see something was coming together. Can you say that about us?

Some people on here just seem to really hate him. It's bizarre.

It’s very, very bizarre. He is one of the most likeable guys in the game combined with being a Man Utd legend. He has also done a very unselfish job at our club so far.

We're probably watching a different game.

Nothing but praise...fcuk me we have sunk low. We looked pretty awful with no decent play & in the second half Astana looked threatening- I mean that’s embarrassing.

Any terrible manager could throw a load of kids in a match & you’d lap it up- it’s ridiculous. Oh the kids Didn’t even look that great tonight. At all. Only Gomes In the first half looked good. Chong was beyond awful.

If any United fan can honestly say we played well tonight..I mean the delusion is frightening.

All this hate for Ole sounds like a bunch of fat fecks from the pub who know everything best.

They've made their mind up because we lost a few games. Now they are desperately looking for proof they are right that he should be sacked.

Who knew we had so many experts here on tactics, plans and breaking down packed defences.

People hate him because he hasn't got a glittering CV. Ironically, the last 2 managers had glittering CVs and it all came crashing down anyway so what's the point banking your hopes on a piece of paper?
