Good point on not easy away game, was it a chance for us to get 3 and make some statement? Yea.

Nothing changed when it comes to subs, which is laughable.

Still plays Lingard in first 11 after he did nothing in all pre season and against Chelsea. Still doesn't know how to change a game with subs and doesn't have a plan B. He can just pick the team and go home. And what happened with fitness? Our players looked knackered in last 20 minutes.

Incredibly shit management from the sidelines.

Still looked utterly clueless as to what to do in possession mind. From van Gaal to Mourinho to Ole, none of them have been able to build a system whereas fans we could figure out as to what players are trying to do when we attack.

I long said it when people said Ole will implement pressing and it will lead to results. My question at the time what was his plan once the ball has been won back. Looks like there isn't one besides the counter.

He set the team up well but when we went level he didn't do anything to slow things down, and left it far too late to make changes. It was frustrating last season and he's doing it again already.

He doesn't react to things.
He got no idea what to do when we are struggling. Very, very disappointed tonight.
Don't think he is good enough.

We aren't any better than we were under Jose. We still look absolutely clueless in offence, just run around a lot more pointlessly. Lingard playing in general, let alone for 80 minutes. Waiting until 80 minutes to make the first change and bringing on a player who can't run when we clearly lost intensity in our game. Waits until 88nd minute to bring on the youth 'because he trusts them'. Terrible fecking display.
You should really watch games, otherwise you wouldn't post that kind of generic posts.

Dunno why you are all sticking the boot in. This is the best we have played for a long time, maybe since he took over. It's not all there yet but the signs are really encouraging, we are an entertaining watch and we got plenty of bite. Might have been a good idea to sign Fernandes though.

Scott, jesse, rashford, shaw where knackered last 15 mins.

His subs not for the first time in the league left too late.

Today along with future days, is when the midfield will let us down; going forward there was a lack of passes that found the our attack. In terms of tackling, Pogba was non existent in midfield. Lingard was the worst player on the pitch, closely followed by Shaw.

This.

We deserved to win on the balance of play and would have if we converted from the spot. First half was we absolutely dominated and controlled the game so beautifully.

I am really encouraged with the start, this team needs a number 10, a RW, a creative cm and we will be challenging for the top.

It's a good point on paper but not if you watched how the game progressed. We played well enough, that's something to be happy about, but at some point you at least need to try to turn that good performance into even more. He didn't try that, and it felt like a lack of ambition. We should expect more at this club.

Wolves also grew into the game and once Traore was on, they pushed on. They also pressed high in the second half. We should have won the game and converted the chances when it was 1-0, again missed the chance to win the game from spot.

The overreaction here. What is he supposed to, play all youth. Our squad lacks quality and today it was evident. He cannot just drop everyone. He has already sidelined smalling, rojo, darmian, young, jones,.matic. He cannot just drop more players without any addition to the squad.

Usual suspects are out. He should have made subs earlier but I don't get this.
Apparently we were being overrun in midfield but he should have brought Greenwood on.. No sense in that. But when you can't wait to jump on someone's head it tends to happen.

Play the player that was obviously better than Lingard in preseason...

Apart from the late subs, as a whole, I like the way we now look under Ole. Very unlucky tonight. Dominated and should have won the game.

We have needed these for 2 transfer windows.

We won't be challenging for anything under this ownership again.

Ole is doing good with what's available to him. He won't rock the boat and is perfect for the current ownership.

Despite i think that Ole made some mistakes, with this i agree. We were better team and "deserved" to win it.
And mc, rw and no10 are a must. We really lack quality there

Like captain every team should have a designated penalty taker. It also grows confidence when that players goes on a run.

Having penalty takers to rotate is a mental decision, especially when Pogba missed three last season and we were creating very little in the second half.

First half we where bloody brilliant and in total control, perfect almost. 2nd half I think he will be worried we crumbled once the crowd got rowdy. Should have won near post header for the free kick prior to goal. Should have had someone on edge of box defending corner. Need to sort our own corner taking out, needs to sort who’s on penalties out. Lots to improve upon

He can bring on Mason earlier. He can see that Mata will be useless, as Juan playing against Wolves is akin to a passive lesbian playing rugby against men.

What do people expect?

He needs two CMs and another attacker/RW to take the team up a level.

He has only been allowed 3 players ffs.

Not impressed.

Lingard as a starter is bad but he doesnt have many better options since Mata also looks terrible these days. However would Gomes as a sub be any worse than Mata?

James started out of nowhere and was pretty bad. Was even at risk for a red. Why bring on Greenwood for 5 minutes at best?

Lingard was horrible so sub him earlier. Lingard isnt even the type of player who can have a genius moment when he has a bad match either. Same for James, he was bad so sub him earlier. Although James having a genius moment is more likely than Lingard having one.

Last part.. someone in the match thread said he lets players decide who take the penalty? That sounds a bit unprofessional?

He cannot just play all young players. Sometimes you need to have experience. I get lingard is crap but it is not like he has dybala waiting in subs. He could have brought greenwood earlier, that's one valid complain I also have but to ask him to drop mata and lingard also just doesn't make sense.

Odd thing to blame Ole on when the players themselves discussed and made decision. But then again, it's not surprising.

Dont have a problem with Lingard at all. He had a good game in the first half, shouldve done better on the 2 chances but he was decent. The problem was just waiting too long to change him.

He’s going to deserve the sack which will be coming his way in the next few months. A fecking weak managerial display again tonight.

Yeah he was horrible - we only controlled Wolves for most of the game.

I am still waiting for that famous Ole pressing.
Outsmarted again by NES.Traore changed the game.

That's my point. It's the manager who decides at the end who takes the penalties. Do you think it's right to have the players decide?

Pogba is our best outfield player, should he take the next one because the players decide so?

I wish he’d make subs quicker and I hope his faith in the likes of Lingard and Mata is fairly limited. While I can see them providing some flashes in the pan throughout the season, we need other options like trying Gomes, Chong and Greenwood more often... because I can’t see Lingard and Mata providing anything but flashes in the pan.

We look better. We were the better team. Away to Wolves is a very difficult fixture. We can't win every game but the signs are positive.

Also for a manager how is supposed to trust the youngsters more, it's really weird he's putting Gomes out of the team selection and brings Greenwood in the last 2 minutes. What's the point again I don't get ? You have next to nothing attacking options. Isn't it a good chance to give the youth more chances then ?

That's my point. It's the manager who decides at the end who takes the penalties. Do you think it's right to have the players decide?

Pogba is our best outfield player, should he take the next one because the players decide so?

How do you know he didn't decide? Rashford wanted to take and when Pogba asked he gave it to him, you want Rashford to make a scene like Balotelli? Silly things to complain about.

If Pogba scored, people would have complained about him taking penalty?

I'm starting to figure him out. He knows how to set a team up in advance of a game, but his in game management is pretty horrific. We're relentless in our pursuit of Plan A but when that doesn't work he can't make subs and his half time team talk seems like it consists of handing out the oranges. If we don't look like winning in the first half, we don't win.

I'm not sure if that makes him a good manager or not.

We beat Chelsea 4-0, drew 1-1 away to Wolves - and there are people here who want to sack the manager.....

Although I don't rate Greenwood as high as most of you do, I think he should've come on for Rashford/Martial around the 70th minute. That was the only thing I could fault Ole for.

When Fred is fit enough our midfield shoud stabilize.

I feel sorry for him. He's clearly got a plan, he's clearly got the squad working harder and I think we look well drilled off the ball and looking to do the right things with it, too.

I just don't see how there's enough quality in the attacking areas to achieve whatever our expectations are this season. With the best will in the world we carried two of that front four today, that cannot happen at United.
