Okay ill be honest. Considering all of solskjaers quotes regarding transfers, it feels like Woodward is taking him for a ride.

Today’s post game presser was without a doubt his best so far. More accurate and better understanding where to answer and when to ignore. I also liked that he went back to being “himself”. More charm and less defending. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I like to study body language and expressions and add those signs together with what he says. If words and expressions goes hand in hand then that’s normally a good sign.
With experience he will gain confidence and soon learn how to use other tools like silence, black eyes (think Peir Luigi Collina) or just set his own narrative. When he learns to use his eyes and expressions a little bit more he can soon take better control of the “press room”. It’s a fine balance. So far his charm and Norwegian accent is working in his favor but in order to survive long term it’s better to properly learn how to use silence and talking with is eyes as a powerful tool.
No complains, only looking at details and how to improve.
If we can't sell the players we want to sell and can't buy the players we want to buy, the only thing that can save this season is if Ole manages to make the best out of what he has got. It doesn't mean it will work out but it would be defeatist to just make everything about the players who aren't good enough instead of inspiring those who might contribute, however unlikely. If we need them to perform then he has to try.I personally don't like how he basically said everyones got a chance to shine in this pre-season... even though he fecking saw them in the flesh for like half of last season. Surely the 30 games or so you had last season was a good enough sample? This is where a proper DoF system would be handy, because they'd ideally would have been there and know all the players inside and out and tell OGS "No, Ole, he's shit for what hes earning... we're selling him". Guardiola didn't even need a pre-season to know Joe Hart wasn't good enough.
And he also publicly said previously that a few of these players weren't going to be here for this season.
It did sound like that, Ole is probably getting fed up of being asked questions that are not up to him and knowing that a lot of fans are actually blaming him for the lack of transfers.Got the impression from his post mat presser that he is not happy with our transfer business. Basically taken the same form as this time last season with Mourinho, 2 signings and hopeful for more but ask Woodward.

You should watch the Post-Match press conference where he responded to the question of incoming transfers by answering that the reporter should ask Ed.Without watching the video, it's hard to come to any conclusion.
We will only be further into the wilderness in 24 months time.
There is no coherent plan to build the team and the "exciting" players we have, in truth, always flatter to deceive.
We have been an absolute fecking disaster post-Ferguson.
We will finish 6th to 10th this coming season.
We’re going to struggle like feck to score goals this season.

I have watched it, just to be clear.
Jose was moaning last pre-season about not having the players he wanted at the start of pre-season. We're in the same position this pre-season, it's like the club never learns!

It was that or let two talented young players leave for potentially nothing.Yep. So we give 'Rashers' and Martial new contracts.
Yeah I guess selling 3, 4 strikers and trying to buy replacements would really go well.Yep. So we give 'Rashers' and Martial new contracts.
Tbh, if we get someone like Ben Yedder, I think we’ll have much more chances in the 6 yard box. If you’d saw the Perth game, we’re devoid of a Striker making a darting run to the near post or into the 6 yard box. There were quite a few times we put the ball into a dangerous area and there was just no one there. We’re going to struggle like feck to score goals this season.
Fair enoughFans who want to criticise ole will no matter what.
He gets accused of being all talk about being ruthless, then he clearly tells a 75m pound striker he’s not a first teamer and he looks set to put his trust in a local 21 year old he seems to be confident he can develop, and he gets accused of being a yes man.
United need to offload players, solskjaers job is to tell Woodward who’s not in his plans. If we can’t shift the likes of Sanchez or dalot, that’s not on the manager.
He’s also clearly said he wants more signings.
The owners just aren't filling the splash the cash it takes to get back to the top in this over-inflated market. It's kind of comical we missed out on Eden Hazard because we didn't want to pay a few million extra to his agent. Now every quality player out there cost like 100 mil.

Yeah, Lukaku weirdly hangs round the edge of the box, the lazy bastard. The only time I remember Rashford doing it was that winner against Hull. I think Greenwood will be deployed wide at first, but as the forwards interchange he may get some chances there. Issue with him is that he needs to work on his composure. It's bloody infuriating when you see the pass Dan James put in that area and there was absolutely no one there. This has been a problem at United for a while now. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen balls go begging in the six-yard box because there was nobody in there attacking that space. Lukaku doesn't do it, Rashford doesn't, and I don't know if young Greenwood is that type of player. It's maddening.
We now know Why Jose Mourinho was a Whiny little Cnut on Tour last season.

Yeah - and imagine winning trophies, guiding us to 2nd and THEN being mugged off by Woodward / Glazers like that.
One of the big shames regarding Mourinho is how so many members of the fanbase let their dislike of him control them emotionally - like soap opera fans.
They end up squabbling about him rather than simply speaking about what he won and how he was treated as a manager when it came time for the Glazers to make the push for a challenge.
What the Glazers did last Summer should've been the last straw - and I really mean that - even if Mourinho went as well, what they did as owners last Summer should've been their final piss-take.
Don't be surprised that they're now not backing Ole - they didn't back the guy who won them trophies and got them a 2nd place finish...
So the notion of them heavily backing a manager who's simply lucky to have the job, is, with all due respect, naive bordering on the delusional.
Hopefully this whole thing opens fans' eyes to the owners and leads to them finally being driven out of the club.
Mourinho acted like a 1st class prick in his time here and he was self-sabotaging his 3rd season. Would never have him back.
Right, yeah.

Is it fair to say this has a good chance of being our strongest XI next season?
Martial Rashford JamesI'd like to believe that has a good chance of doing well in the league, Solskjaer's not doing too bad so far building a more balanced structure. Also big season for Rashford, Ole wants him as our first choice so there's a lot of expectation on him, make it or break it time.
