Oh right yeah because Jose didn't want to sign him right?

Name check Jose as a trash manager then.

Again what does this all mean? Under Jose’s tenor Woodward literally said we had 100m for Varane.

Do you think Jose would of turned down Ronaldo too? You also named Sancho… Does he even play for us?

Name check. Ole is probably the worst manager in our history. He can’t even coach is like 48. What manager stops coaching at that age :wenger:

But he bought him - I don't think Ole is a good enough manager but I value the stuff he has bought for United compared to Jose, Van Gaal and Moyes ALL put together.

If you value their FA Cup and a single Europa Cup above the transfers we have bought in within the last couple of years where suddenly people are crying that we are not winning titles with this wonderful wonderful squad that needs a very few players to iron out its flaws + the right manager then so be it -

That is just how YOU view football.

Il say it again - people are blaming the match going fans for not booing enough to get Ole out of his Job -

I at the same time blame the fans that always wanted Mourinho here for bringing that manager here because those fans were crying everyday for him post SAF when many people knew he was the wrong fit for us. But you know - when that ends up wrong those fans never get the blame and all is forgotten.

Disgusting manager. Jose is the worst.

If you still like it ; adore it then you were probably one of the fans that bought it here in the first place. You bought Mkhitarayan and Lukaku who tripping over the football. Bought Sanchez by tricking everyone that he was our RW then benched Rashford and Martial on the second match by playing Sanchez as our LW. Never changed after that. Bought Pogba then he himself calls him a virus. Middle fingers to Shaw but wants to buy perisic?

The manager we should have signed Conte chucks Matic out of his club and Jose runs and puts him in his shopping bag when we could have had a younger better one by now.

But no - Jose was the best.

Seriously, he was the worst to me and its not a discussion for me.

Nothing in this universe or the next 10000000000 universe's will ever change my opinion about Jose Mourinho and his balance with Manchester United club.

I do not want to talk about Jose Mourinho.

You win, he is the GOAT.

You are talking out your buttcheeks. What has transfers got to do with his performance as a manager. But let’s break it down shall we.

AWB - On our scout report, was a long term target to replace Valencia. Makes sense Jose liked him, he doesn’t have an attacking bone in his body. Ole wanted fast free flowing football. He clearly didn’t read his scout report.

Maguire - As you pointed out earlier. The previous summers CB target. £65m rejected.

James - Ryan Giggs recommendation. Ole listened. Any competent manager probably tells the club to F off.

Bruno - Jose scouting. Rephrase, he was scouted under Jose’s tenor. Was looked at by our management team as an Herrera replacement but we decided against it when our scouting team said his ball retention is pathetic(These guys really need more credit). Brought in January when we was desperate as Mct got injured but the rest is history.

Ighalo - If Ole’s management was signified as a transfer it would be this. Romanticism vs reality

Van De Beek - Clearly didn’t bother reading the scout report.

Telles - See Donny

The Uruguayan kid - See Ryan Giggs replace with Forlan

Amad - Carricky who’s this work experience kid we have here? Bailly’s nephew?

Cavani - Good signing but s club signing to appease not getting Sancho

Sancho - see Donny and Telles. Even worse we chased him for 2 years

Varane - Basically the clubs number 1 CB for the past 10 years

CR7 - Had to be done.

That‘s a lot of players with a low turnover in relation to performance. This squad although nice by name was built very poorly like previous management before him.

Well I’m in my 30’s. I’ve watched a lot however SAF managed for 26 years. What you want me to say. I know one though he’s not a better manager than Big Ron.

I love how McFred is one of the most hated things currently in football-

Who actually created that?

Ole.. no it was Jose.

Our midfield is the weakest source of our team.

Fred = Jose
Pogba = Jose
Matic = Jose
Mctominay = Jose

Well he hasn’t called any of his players racist names yet

Okay. Again relevance? This guy brought Dwight Yorke to England and was in charge when we brought Cunningham.

Im not the poster to do black history with. Come better. It wasn’t a smart comment by yourself and I think the whole football community hopes Big Ron learnt from his mistake. He disappointed a lot of people me included.

What this has to do with Ole you can answer that.

There's a little difference in that Jose was pretty much forced to play McFred after the club either didn't back him or picked the wrong target (Fred). Ole has no reason to continue to insist on McFred or 3 seasons later to not have done a damn thing to improve the midfield. Your criticisms agaisnt Jose are ridiculous. He failed here, but he was much better manager for us than Solskjaer is.

So Barca 09 wanted it more than Vidic, Evra, Ronaldo, Ferdinand, Rooney, Tevez

”Wanting it more” is another in a long line of meaningless football soundbites.

I don't remember what Ole was like as a player while speaking - but feck me, I don't enjoy listening to him as our manager. He talked-the-talk when he first came in, and I bought into it. Unfortunately, he has totally failed to deliver on his early promises. Much like with Jose when he was here, I've stopped listening to Ole's pre/post match interviews for a good few months now.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

He also had the choice of buying Sancho last year for 120 million but decided to go this year for like 50 million less.

That's why he didn't go for Rice because Rice is/was too expensive.

I don't know anything about Tielemans.

They are equally terrible, the bar for Manchester united is to win/compete for the league and champions league. Neither of them has done it, Jose deserved to be sacked long before Dec 2018 and and Ole should have never been appointed as a permanent manager.

And again - I do not care; Jose maybe the better manager than Ole so him managing us better than Ole isn't something shocking.

However when people say that we are in a worse state now than we were before. Not a chance.

The fact is Ole is a United fan. People say that that has had some real negatives (which it does) but it has had some very minimal few positives because he knows a bit better about what type of players that should be bought here better than Moyes, Van Gaal and Mourinho did.

Again if you disagree then fine.

Mkhitarayan over Bruno.

I don't know anything about Tielemans.

Well he doesn’t play Sancho. So he should of just used that money for Rice. Probably cost you 60-70m.

Tielemans was available and wanted to come for a fixed price of £40. The word was he would only sign him if we sold Pogba that summer

Yes totally agree, I just dont understand why there are even tacticall coaches at all. For all I know there should only be psycologist and motivators, tactics dont matter. Its about tempo and intensity, who wants it more.
No one said tactics didn’t matter.

In a game there is a pass every 7 second.
For every pass there are 3/4 players moving into space.
For every pass there are players closing space
There is a tackle or duel every two minutes
There are more moves available than in a chess game.
A top team runs about 50+ miles, every game

Your sarcasm might defy math, but I highly doubt it apply to the subject matter. Compliance and concentration is the most important attribute. In training, in life and in a football match.

When was this? I didn’t realise they had lined up anything past newspapers speculating

So what are we saying nothing is proof until they sign? These information on the net. We’ve admired Rice for years and Tielemans was a target from his loan move to Leicester and he’s still a target now.

He did play Sancho at the start of the season and he wasn't playing well enough.

Now Rashford is a better player on the left.

Cavani has come back.

Ronaldo was a complete utterly random transfer that has blocked any ability for Greenwood to play a striker role past the first 2 matches this season. So Greenwood has moved back to RW. Sancho is competing with Greenwood for RW but Greenwood is scoring wonder long goals from RW too.

What then happens? Our average manager realises 2 months later that Ronaldo has always needed a striker partner in his career be it Rooney, Benzema or Dybala - so we go switch to a 352.

Rashford, Greenwood and Sancho all get put on the bench but Sancho gets hurt the most because he is the least CF/ST our of those lot the most- the same way that Daniel James would be playing the least in a 352 further up the pitch out of Greenwood, Rashford and himself.

Ok let’s leave aside that he was racist or at least said racist things (surely causing bad feeling amongst the squad)

let’s just look at win %

big Ron across United 50%
Ole so far across United 55%
This season where we are all upset he’s still got 46%

statistically speaking Ole is far from the worst which is why i replied to your post

Admired is different from making a bid no?

However when people say that we are in a worse state now than we were before. Not a chance.
Yes, we are in a worse state because we probably have the worst or at least one of the worst managers in PL at the moment. What does it matter if you have prime Barcelona in the back seat of your car if you do not have a capable driver at the wheel? It'd still be the same shit.

Did we bid for Bruno in the summer we didn’t get him?

So can I happily say Ole didn’t want Bruno and he was a panic January signing because we looked and seen Spurs was after him?

You’ll have to explain what that means mate?

He did play Sancho at the start of the season and he wasn't playing well enough.

Now Rashford is a better player on the left.

Yeah maybe because a lot of these players need a system and a certain style to perform. Sancho, VDB just "go out there and express yourselves" isn't gonna do it. feck me, we've been scouting Sancho for two years and he plays him as a LW?
I'm completely convinced that Ole doesn't play VDB because he hasn't shown that specific "individual quality" that saves him his job like Ronaldo or Bruno.

Also about Rashford, when Mou stated that he is not a CF people in here and in the media were all over him. Now 3,5 years later everyone acknowledge that LW is his natural position

It's sad to see how Ole staying on is slowly fracturing the club. Just look at the caf and social media, and imagine what it must be like in that dressing room.

Just on Sancho he played many Dortmund games on the LW and was as comfortable there, if not more so, than RW. He can easily play both so I don’t see this as a criticism. Greenwood has been in good form on the RW

There's a lot to blame Ole for but faulting him for buying good players is really not one of them.

But you can fault him for not using them, fault him for changing the system so the positions of the players he bought dont exist anymore and you can also fault him for overspending on decent but not great players (+ making them captain when that player shouldnt be captain).

Thanks.

Also @Karlos PFC

The reason he doesn't play VDB in my opinion is because he doesn't have a CDM.

VDB is a centre midfielder that always and I mean always aims to try to get in to CAM positions or even forward.

When you see him lined up next to Fred in a double pivot or Mctominay in a double pivot- what happens? He makes a pass and he instantly goes on a shadow run that is hard to pick by both his opposition and his team mates.

It's a very dangerous thing to play in a double pivot without a CDM.

So who is the CDM we have? Matic.

And who gets played with Matic? Pogba because he is the most creative player out of Donny and Pogba.

The alternative to this is obviously play a 3 man midfield but this would require Bruno to be dropped or again VDB to be more creative than Pogba - but ultimately a Centre Midfielder that aims to move forward in to CAM positions and even at times to SS positions to score a goal is a very dangerous player to play in a double pivot without a CDM.

This is why that now we play the 352 I think the sub version of VDB is going to get more game time. Because he can go and find spaces but defensively we will have quantity even if the quality isn't always there.

But you can fault him for not using them, fault him for changing the system so the positions of the players he bought dont exist anymore and you can also fault him for overspending on decent but not great players (+ making them captain when that player shouldnt be captain).

At the end of the day he is the damn manager. If he wants to play a 10-0-0 formation then so be it, the players must find a way to adapt their game to it. It isn't always on the manager to pander to the players to find them the exact sweet spot for their game, the players must do their bit and be smart enough to adapt their game too. If they can't adapt, you have to ask yourself how good a footballer they really are. It works both ways.

There is no way a manager can find the sweet spot for all 11 players on the team. Someone will have to make a sacrifice and play in a position that is not their best, but they adapt well to.

Look at the comment. He’s surely held these views long time and said things during training etc

Okay. Sounds like a society issue to me. Which is why I asked for relevance.

What I’m saying now is an opinion and zero facts. Like you saying someone has held racist views for a long time. But our manager claimed to have went to scout a player and turned away when he seen him walk out with a Mohawk. It would be interested to know who that player was.
