You know this how?

There was no urgency or fight or has been for a while in this team. If your scared of management or take note that player would step up & play like it’s everything.
Plus I said, I fear which is an assumption not a fact.

I don't believe that at all.

You just need signings in the right places to make this team more than the sum of its parts. That's what good managers do.

Remember that Van Gaal completely cleared out our squad and yet we continued to struggle. Buying new players will not be the cure to our problems. Not if that's our only solution.
That's the only solution, some of our players are finished but we just play, that's close to abuse for me
10 players out is needed and Ole isn't that good of a manager to tweak this team with 3-4 changes and get them playing drastically better.

Again, who are those?

How many managers and hundreds of thousand pounds a week, do these pampered cnuts need before they're motivated enough? Some are currently on their fourth.
I don't buy into this modern player rhetoric people want to spin.

The City players are mercenaries but they have consistently done well under different managers.

Look forward to everyone interpreting this to mean their least favourite player will be sold. All my least favourite players have been given new contracts so I can't get it on the fun

Ole getting 10 players in could be as much a disaster as we are seeing.

And why not just get a decent manager instead then?

Can’t see this ending in anyway other than a disaster. Dude looked lost on the bench today.

Obviously I hope it works out, but I don’t get what people are seeing to have faith in him.

People can bang on about ‘his own players’ all they want but he shouldn’t need that to beat Huddersfield. The worst team in the league! BY FAR, that were relegated weeks ago.

On the pitch I just can’t see what he’s trying to do. We’re not a possession team, we’re not a pressing team, we don’t try to play it out the back like every top team out there. I would’ve thought that if he had a specific way of playing now would be the perfect time to implement it, to weed out the players he doesn’t think can fit his system, but there’s nothing.

What happened to the attacking football everyone bangs on about? What happened to the pressing? The high full backs? We haven’t been playing attacking football since the first few weeks he’s been here. Last couple of months have been awful and very reminiscent of Mourinho.

It’s also weird how when we were winning he was rightfully getting praise but now we’ve been on this shite run it’s all the players fault now and he escapes criticism.

Let’s be honest here but he has no credentials which would give anyone hope he can do a good job, no disrespect to the Norwegian league.

He/we as a club need a DoF desperately to not only help him but to give our club some direction.

All I can do is cross my fingers and hope he’s some undiscovered, diamond in the rough, beautiful mind genius of a football manager who can sort us out.

You think the coaches wanted them to be miles behind Liverpool and City? No coach can force a player to train with 100% intensity.

If it had been a couple of players - I'd have said yeah, the players are the problem. But fitness has been a problem throughout the team, which means the problem is far more systematic.

Yes that is what I fear. I think Van Gaal made us weaker with what he did with the squad. Mourinho did actually do better things, but did also fail in the market.

We need to identify the right types of players to add rather than who should get the ax. We also need to motivate our players to turn the form around. Right now everyone has played like crap. if we remove 1/3 of them it will not turn the other 2/3 around magically.

Moyes had some serious pedigree compared to Ole. He took Everton from being relegation material to finishing top 4 and turning it into a stable club. And we used to laugh at that, saying it’s nothing compared to actually accomplished managers.

The things with Moyes is that even though he did well at Everton, his footballing philosophy was appalling. He invented the “hoof ball to Fellaini,” tactics and that is all you need to know about his philosophy. It was effective, but for a top club we actually need a gameplan that is much better than that.

Ole pedigree compared to Moyes is worse and the only positive acclaim was his achievement in the Norwegian league with a good team. I don’t know why any United fan would think he is right to rebuild this club. Laurent Blanc would have been more apt if we are looking for a United way manager as he actually has a decent managerial career.

Ole looks no different than some of our failed managerial product like Neville, Roy Keane, Mark Hughes, Scholes, and so on, rather than a manager that will make us competitive.

We can’t give Ole credits for the honeymoon period and not the last ten or more games he has been in charges. It makes more sense to give him more credit for our poor form than our honeymoon period form, as when he got into the club, I doubt he was able to implement his philosophy that quickly.

This is true, but I'm not sure that means Ole is that manager... For all his talk of being ruthless and promoting youth, today was yet another day he started players who have let him down consistently

Did he? Alexis hasn't really played under Ole because of injuries so he was given a chance (failed), Mata was very good against Chelsea (didn't excel), Rashford always works hard as does McToninay (who was ok), at CB there were injuries, Dalot has let him down (just like he did when he came on today) so he didn't start but that automatically means Young has to start, and then there's Pogba. What to make of him? Wasn't all that once again. Herrera played well when he came on. He gave Chong a chance which everybody on here has been calling for. He did well btw. What more could Ole have done really?

I don't disagree but whoever comes will still need to assess players who cannot be assessed anymore. There is no hope for several of our players, regardless we still need to get rid of many

Yeah yeah how about proper doing it instead of just trash talking? Him starting the likes of Young does my head in

Also needs to stop calling his players by nicknames. He's the manager, not their mates. Imagine Fergie and Jose calling them Jonah, Rashy and Youngy

I think Conte could do well. He won the title after Mourinho fecked things up the year before.

He lost it in his second year, but still won an Fa cup. He is quite good at motivating his players.
Would rather keep Ole than watch Conte's football. And it would just be like Mourinho all over again.

The last 10 games must have a put a big question mark in Ed's head. Whether OGS should be given a big transfer kitty or not? Whether he should be trusted in doing the major surgery or not. Then we have the owners who are money oriented businessmen and know next to nothing about football. My biggest concern is our failure in doing the basics right on the pitch. If I were Woody, I'd have a long-long talk with Ole. And yes, DOF is a must it seems.

Every other top six team apparently beat Huddersfield home and away this season.

I fecking hope Pogba, Young, Sanchez, Matic and Jones don’t play next game if that quote is anything to go by.

I don't get it. If players are our problem and not manager, why we sacked Mourinho then? He is top manager. Because he is not nice person?
If we are ready now to buy 5 new players and sell/sack 7 or 8, i would rather that we gave that budget and freedom to Jose.

Well, if we could travel back in time and unsack Jose that would make sense, but unfortunately that's not an option. Jose got sacked because he had two full seasons and then some to build his team and he failed that project quite badly. To use the same logic here: Jose was a proven top manager so why could not he turn this bunch of players into something better?

One thing is clear: Something is very rotten at our club, but showing yet another manager the door will not remove the rot i fear

Interesting - but who?

Who played today who won't play in the last game for starters?
Sánchez for sure. Martial if we can find someone to pay his wage. Lukaku and Pogba if we can find someone to pay their fees and get decent replacements.

Imagine the reactions if that was said by Moyes? Let alone Jose.
He’s not wrong, but just saying.
Yes, it would indeed be different if the bloke who inherited the literal Premier League champions had said it, rather than one who inherited a team who were in the Europa League positions and fell over the finish line in the Champions League group stages. Well spotted.

Agree, lots of good managers about in Europe and even in the ELP, Eddie Howe, the Wolves manager or even Rafa :o

This..

I fear that we are just going to waste money in this inflated market and then turn around and wonder why we are still struggling.

Yeah. And Ole should have no part in appointing that DoF. We can't give him a say if we're not even sure he's the right man.

We could always forfeit the next game then Solkjaers comments could cause a media uproar.
