Sure it is better than when he took over, who is seriously denying that? The question raised is, could we have elevated even more by now. I am sure you understand that that isn't the same thing.
Because when we park the bus, we are still leaking chances rendering that approach so often useless in the past.
Also calling Tuchels football park the bus is a bit misleading. I have no problems to agree that isn't the most entertaining thing to watch but he a) managed to set up his team to deny opposition goal chances (xga <1 in all but 3 matches after his takeover, all comps, highest xga in a 2-5 loss to Westbrom, and often restricting the opponent to xga below 0.5) and b) to set the team up to create chances to score (only 4 times below 1.0 xg). Chelsea ended the season with an xg of 64 (City 73.3, Pool 72.6, United 60.2) and an xga of 32.8 (City 31.4, Pool 45.3, United 42.2). So I would say, they were a team pretty good in the key aspects, create chances and block opposition chances. Dont want to deny that Chelsea ended up with 58 goals scored compared to United 73, but that had more to do with them no being able to convert chances than with creating them.
