There is no credit given to any opposition outside the top 4 on here that they might give us a tough game. Home advantage is another thing that is completely ignored.

You are right, we have to give credit to our opponents. But that does apply to our competitors as well as we don't live in a vacuum. Southhampon wasn't lucky to get a draw. They worked for it and they pretty much nullified us. Which is great for them but ultimately shows, that we have to up our game.

As far as I understood the statsbomb data (used by fbref) take more factors into consideration when calculating the xg. Understat goes mostly for positioning of the active player, while statsbomb also takes positioning of the defenders and for example the height of the ball into consideration. Understat provides data way faster, I use them as well because as an early indicator, it works. Just to let you know, the information, that the 3 biggest chances in the game from our team, happened in the first 12 min of the game came from understat as well. Thats why I think, they have been nullifying us to a good degree, is a fair representation that fits what I have seen on the TV screen. But you have to draw a line and say, let's think ahead. Now show us improvement on what we had already. The other managers are Klopp, Tuchel and Pep. I would rate all of them above Ole . So unless the team shows that on the pitch how can you make it happen?

Ole bought VdB and Amad for £80 million combined - doesn't play the former and is loaning the latter. We could've used that money far more effectively.

It was a poor performance and a good result, we have very good team so expectations should be higher. Yeah we have weak position like CM but that shouldn't be an excuse. Every team has one but it's up to manager to cover that with his set up.

Also calling Tuchels football park the bus is a bit misleading. I have no problems to agree that isn't the most entertaining thing to watch but he a) managed to set up his team to deny opposition goal chances (xga <1 in all but 3 matches after his takeover, all comps, highest xga in a 2-5 loss to Westbrom, and often restricting the opponent to xga below 0.5) and b) to set the team up to create chances to score (only 4 times below 1.0 xg). Chelsea ended the season with an xg of 64 (City 73.3, Pool 72.6, United 60.2) and an xga of 32.8 (City 31.4, Pool 45.3, United 42.2). So I would say, they were a team pretty good in the key aspects, create chances and block opposition chances. Dont want to deny that Chelsea ended up with 58 goals scored compared to United 73, but that had more to do with them no being able to convert chances than with creating them.
