The fact BT Sport would rather talk about VAR than give Ole credit annoys me. The media in this country has taken such a dismissive attitude towards him. Even when he oversees a record equalling win they can't spend five minutes talking about the progress he's overseen. Let's not forget last season we bored our way to a 1-1 against 10 men at Southampton. The way Ole's taken us forward since then is well worth talking about.

He has shattered a lot of stories and narratives that the media try and push. You can see it on this forum.

Money/Big Names and “gurus” sell.

History/hard work and culture aren’t as interesting to Sky/BT or a new generation of fans but they’re equally as important.

The balls to keep going for the jugular when it would've been so easy to just sit back at 4-0. It was the right call too considering how out of form some of our attackers have been. What should be most concerning for the league is that Greenwood, Rashford and, after last night, Martial are starting to get back into form again. Fernandes also picking up a goal and 2 asssists is promising.

Clearly A WUM
Check his post history , I only went back so far but I could not find one positive comment he’s made about Utd

Yea that explains..Sometimes I really wonder what type of supporters we have in here when I see comments like that, even more annoying when it comes after a fantastic 9 - 0 WIN!

We've been trash since the great man left and you expect some positivity. Its fans like you that ensure this misery will continue for some time. Keep your positivity, I'll keep my reality.

He's doing well and is exceeding expectations for the current season IMO. Long may it continue..
I was fully in the Ole out camp last season and even at the beginning of this season. However you can see the improvements and we are heading in the right direction. Ole is reshaping the squad getting the right players out, I really appreciate Ole moving us back to the Utd ethos even something small like having players wearing the club suits on match days. If Ole has any area that he could improve it would be his in game management tactics and using the subs better. However it's defintely better being a Utd fan under Ole than under previous managers.

I dont get this?

So do we have to change the entire 11?
It's like the man can never win. He rests key players, he is called tinkerman ole and gets abused. Now when he plays key players, he is still criticized.

Indeed

Allegri too, I would rather Ole's style of football tbh.
For sure, I've had my reservations about Solskjaer but I think you'd have to have some real self-loathing to not want to see where this project could end up.

That game must have hurt you last night

Not sure if this has been posted. Thought it might be an interesting talking point for those who think we can only play on the counter.

Ole is on the right track, everything is slowly coming together, just need to be patient.

And yet it’s absolutely true. Don’t be so sensitive.

Soooo, after watching your team making history, your literal first thought was to come on here and make a post about 'Ole haters'? That's just weird, my man. Even worse that you alluded to them going into hiding, even though the post above yours was from a notorious 'Ole hater' - your phrase, not mine.

It's all very silly and wummy, all this 'Ole in' vs 'Ole out' nonsense. The posters on both sides are far more interested in wumming each other and point scoring than caring about the actual team. Anyhow, if you fancy being the new Sammsky, work away. We all know how highly he was regarded :)

Most expected progress in the form of better football and a comfortable top four finish. We're well on course for that and it will be tangible progress. There's still plenty of work to be done and the CL exit was very disappointing. As long as Ole can show he can keep improving as a manager and he can keep improving the team, I'm happy.

If that’s the most offensive post you’ve seen in this thread in the last 48 hours, then you should send me your filters.

What can I say, the knee jerk from the previous 2 results got to me.

Well you're just as bad as the 'side' you despise. No idea how that's not evident. You surely saw the damage that Sammsky done. He's gone now so why can't posters just try see some middle ground instead of this stupid point scoring? It's really not a cool look to come and post about 'Ole haters' literally minutes after a historic result. My suggestion is to ignore the posters you find OTT and focus on the ones you're willing to debate with. I'm pretty confident you'll find some middle ground that way.

I think you’re somewhat overreacting to a rather off the cuff comment, but keep up the crusade. I expect you to put similar effort in pulling up everyone else who dabbles in a bit of shithousery in this thread.

Anyway, onwards and upwards.

Exactly, all the shithousery should be called out :)

I imagine 99% of the forum are sick of the small band of 'Ole ins' and 'Ole outs' monopolising multiple threads with their petty bickering and wummery.

There’s no such thing as “Ole in”

No matter what you think about Ole, he has given us so many moments as a manager that remind us what it used to feel like as a United fan. Mourinho, Moyes and LVG offered none.

Ah there is mate. They're not real United fans. Just wums who like to point score and label themselves as 'Ole in' as they feel it's a badge of honour.

There's an abomination of a thread - which I have on ignore - dedicated to them. Like Ole outs, they're a collective band of wums but they have a sense of sanctimony and air of entitlement about them.

I think what annoys me, and I'm sure it annoys Zen too, is that literally every time without fail a lot of these agenda posters disappear from the Ole threads when he' doing well, only to pipe up when we drop points or play poorly. It's just very, very disengenuous.

I made a mental note of how many new pages there were in this thread after we beat Liverpool and contrasted it with the number of pages that were created in the same thread after we lost to Sheffield. It was almost three times more activity on this thread after the latter, than there was after we beat Liverpool. I'm sorry, but that just reeks. I then went even further and looked into the posting histories of some of those posters who were perhaps the most derogatory and disrespectful in their criticism and I found that for so many of them, they hadn't said a single word about the manager since early December, and they then piped up the moment we lost.

How can you expect someone like Zen, who, love him or hate him, has steadfastly been on this forum, rain or shine, defending his position for the past two and a bit years, NOT to have a pop at these people?

Sure, I mean, it's not the biggest thing in the world, but equally, I find it a bit weird to police someone on how they respond to the other side in these circumstances. Especially since you yourself was a noted doubter of Ole, and have only recently seemingly come round to accepting him (I might be wrong on that assumption so apologies if it's incorrect). Don't you think it's a bit rich for you to involve yourself on this, when people Zen, Bilbo, Withnail, and a few others (myself included) have been backing Ole from day one? When we've had to deal with the torrent of shitposts from the other side for god knows how long, I think we're well within our rights to respond or call out others as we see fit.

They don't really dissapear though as I've seen some since yesterday. I mean, if you want to obsess over people wanting our manager out then fair enough. It's just very tedious at this stage - from both sides.

9 of those goals are against Southampton's b team playing with 10 and then 9 players. Take those away and we are level with Crystal palace.
You can't just take goals away cause you don't like that it counters your opinion.

Why should anyone remove 9 goals when we have scored 8 open play goals yesterday?

Also remove 7 goals Liverpool scored vs Palace or 5 goals City scored in one of their games, 11 goals Spurs scored vs Us and Southampton then we will be up there.

Nope. Too late. He's made his rules. I'm adding 4 goals for the chances we missed against Liverpool and Arsenal.
