When was the last time a team was joint top in Jan and fans were manager out?

We want a new CB pairing
We want a new CDM
We want a new RW
We want a new ST
We want to fit Donny in the team

Agendas against Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, James, Martial.

You don't count Pogba in the agendas against column?

Yes. I’ve seen your posts here over the last decade. You know very little about anything.

Said a fellow poster who knows nothing!

Just always remember I’m actually your biggest fan. I’m just trying to be like you bro.

Totally agree. I think it is a by product of our fans being spoilt for so many years under Fergie. We don't recognise the need for evolution and steady improvement season after season. As a fanbase we seem to have forgotten the 7 years of failure under Moyes, LVG and Jose. Now Ole has shown slight improvements some are demanding instant success. It doesn't work like that.

Give him time, for me he has to finish top 4 again this season, then let's see how we kick on next season. Talk of the title is premature but nice to be having the conversation in January. He is showing progression in style of play, squad/ team strength and mentality.

He just needs to iron out the defending set piece weakness, his in game subs and we desperately need a to top class CB with pace to complement Maguire and a top RW.

The previous paragraph is just my opinion on what needs to improve.
Im in agreement with what we need to improve
Set piece weakness will make a huge difference and might tie in with the cb purchase. Given the set pieces we give away, if we are clearing them like we used to with Rio and vidic then opposition will get frustrated with that percentage play

Said nobody this week but you
It's amazing how we now have a fourth group
  1. Ole out
  2. Ole in
  3. Ole inbetweeners
  4. Ole in who behaves like an Ole out even before Ole outs say anything, camouflaging and waiting for a chance to pounce
We're mutating quickly

Someone literally posted a "real" Ole-out post like 4 posts above less than 2h before the one you tried complain about. (Quoted below)
@Kajus was clearly riffing on that post and how common these posts usually still are.

Just because not all of you are posting Ole out content doesn't mean that nobody is, so why try to make people who are "Ole-in people" seem silly when they point out how silly it is to complain right now.

Unorganised football , no tactics , no experience , dead wood in bench . Seems to makes substitutes before the game even played , Ole is out of his league even him knows this. No big team can employ someone like Ole, with that cv he have or what he done at United.

Your very much right and wrong all at the sametime. It’s quite amazing. A lot of your points need fact checking though. But I’ll leave with one. Did he decide to go into a season short handed to give youth and his squad a try or was he just let down by the board? James Maddison was also our number 1 midfielder target there was also Sean Longstaff too. I don’t recall it being Bruno or no one. But maybe I just read things differently to you.

Do you really think anyone at United expected to sign Maguire and Maddison from Leicester in the same summer, especially bearing in mind how royally screwed they were on the price for Maguire?

As for Longstaff, he doesn't even play the same position as Bruno.

Ole played all preseason with Pogba in a midfield 2 and Andreas Pereira as a number 10. It was as clear a placeholder for Bruno as you'll see.

As for the other points that need fact checking, feel free to point them out.

Did you right that with a straight face?

He doesn’t but we wanted him... so did we just decided we would leave the Longstaff position alone? Ole said he had his targets and if he didn’t get what he needed he has different tactics to adjust. With that in mind I’d say he just wanted a midfielder who could do certain things.

Yes a clear placeholder for Bruno who was playing in a 4-3-3 in Sporting and on the right for his country. I see your logic.

You're always banging on about this Longstaff nonsense.

We clearly had Bruno lined up for the number 10 seeing as he came straight into the team in that position and thankfully we saw very little of Lingard/Pereira after he arrived.

Your Longstaff point sounds exactly the same as our summer Bruno pursuits. It just suits your arguement for one to be true and one not to be? Do you not agree.

So if we had him lined up why didn’t we get him and why is it also a stupid point not to believe Maddison.... who also plays number 10 wasn’t our main target?

Things can be true without it having to be a negative point of view. I’m not being negative just saying how I saw that summmer. If People have facts and evidence just provide it. A lot of the stuff was on the cafe the majority in here probably contributed to those thread. But all of a sudden everyone has amnesia.

I don't really care to be honest but your point that we didn't have Bruno lined up because of 433 and where he played for the national team didn't make any sense. I just felt you were being obtuse as usual so I called you on it :)

Why do people believe we were interested in Longstaff? He was clearly just a newspaper article and not a player with any sort of individual ability that Ole could play his game on.

 Your right. But I didn’t mean it like that. The point was he was our number 1 target because of where he plays now. I was just pointing out he didn’t even play that position before we brought him and the guy that was highlighted as our number 1 target (Maddison) actually did.

Anyway game time, top of the league;)

I guess it's easy to believe some targets listed when it fits a narrative?

Ermmm £50m and we said no. It’s that simple.

In short you can’t be an advocate of promoting youth and be scared to introduce them. That’s a Jose tactic.. hence why he gets his label. Whether it was 1-0 or not he shouldn’t fear brining Pelistri on. Just as an example. Which goes back to what I’m saying.. it’s not long term it’s always about job security.
It’s probably a dilemma to introduce youth when we already have one of the youngest teams in PL - players who also need more experience and develop better interaction.

I’m neither sure which young player who is ready for the next step, except of the players who already is given opportunities. Maybe @Mainoldo can enlighten me?

If you are good enough you are old enough.
Sometimes it’s seems like we should test young players on the biggest stage at any cost. Are we necessarily sure of the positive effect of testing young players on the first team?

I’m sure the coaching team have a plan when it comes to Pelistri and Dialli and do individual assessments off young players all the time.

What we don’t need is playing or testing young players only because of “show off” or symbolic reasons.

I would have never believed anyone who would have told me we are going top of the league less than a month after our CL exit.

Fantastic comeback by Ole, he needs to get massive credit for managing this exit and turning it around like this !

I knew we’d win that in the second half. It felt somewhat inevitable. That’s a feeling that Ole has managed to cultivate. Fans like me believe, he believes and, most importantly, I think the players believe it.

Woop woop :D

He’s got the mentality of the squad spot on, he deserves huge credit for this.

Agreed. We really look a lot more controlled in possession than even 6 months ago. We kept the ball moving and got our just rewards.

" I can't see Ole as a good enough manager to close the gap to Liverpool and City. We should get Poch while we have the chance "

Well, feck off doubters

We've had many games like this under SAF where we struggled to find that one goal, then looked nervy in the end. Really happy that he's turned it around in time for the holidays.

bravo Ole! Keep lifting this team! Keep bringing the best out of players. When was the last time we saw pogba this passionate on the pitch? This is just one example of Ole’s man management. Keep this up, we’ve supported you in tough time, we have all the right to cheer now!!!

The way he’s handled Pogba has been brilliant. Put in a difficult situation after Raiola’s comments but even if he does leave at the end of the season, get the best out of him until then.

Saying he hasn’t seen the VAR incidents, when he spends the whole game looking at screen. And then he goes into detail about them

Still posters calling him PE teacher around the forum. I have a message for these «fans»: do please feck off! No matter what, Ole has us looking like a team that cares and a team that doesn’t give up! Top of the league!:D:devil:

No tactics, just vibes FC at the top of the table. Not bad for a PE teacher.

We should really beat Liverpool with the form they got. If we do then we are in the race for sure with City and maybe Pool if they get it together. Spurs should be in it as well.

Time to raise our performances for the big games now. We have not really done that under Ole, but maybe it will be different doing it in the league compared to the cups?
