I would have never believed anyone who would have told me we are going top of the league less than a month after our CL exit.

Fantastic comeback by Ole, he needs to get massive credit for managing this exit and turning it around like this !
I have said to you all over and over again, give manager time and have patience.

All the ingredients were there for this team to become a good team. And it is happening faster then a thought. Because I thought we could compete for Premier League next year. But if we keep going like we have done we will surprise lot of people.

We should really beat Liverpool with the form they got. If we do then we are in the race for sure with City and maybe Pool if they get it together. Spurs should be in it as well.

Time to raise our performances for the big games now. We have not really done that under Ole, but maybe it will be different doing it in the league compared to the cups?

They scored four goals in their last game, although if we're talking about league form we've at least a chance. The feckers just don't lose at Anfield though.

Don't think there's ever been a 'should' beat Liverpool at anfield in my lifetime. Much less under klopp

True it is time to beat them though. I hope we really raise the game. A draw is not bad, but it will feel like a lost moment. Probably go with Fred, Mctominay and Pogba in midfield.

"Just imagine where we'd be in the league if we had a good manager..."
A pre-season would have been ideal. Pogba is just getting to full fitness. Imagine a right-winger and ball-playing full-back added to that team. He was also desperate to add Haaland to the squad. The "PE teacher" is certainly excelling.

He's doing a fantastic job. This is the best we've been post Fergie. You can see the puzzle isn't complete but the fact he's getting these wins despite that is just brilliant.

I’ve been very up and down this season with Ole...

But credit where it’s due... he has started to settle on a system... and he is getting his selections much better.

The rotation is working because he is pairing the right players with each other.

Keep it up!

I had a wobble when we lost heavily to Spurs. However, I then realised PSG, Bayern, City, and others still involved in Europe end of last season all struggled at the beginning of the season in their respective leagues.

Yeah I have always felt he isn't the right manager long term but nothing would give me more pleasure than Ole making me eat my words and looking absolutely stupid

Grinding these types of results out is absolutely vital and Ole is getting a knack for it. Tonight was always going to be difficult but we persevered and got the win. Anything bar a defeat on Sunday would be a very good result and a win would be absolutely massive.

I think we all did to be fair, that was a testing time, but like you said, when you're capable of rational thinking it was clear to see the issue wasn't United specific, there were clear issues across Europe with the lack of pre-season.

At the top of the league while United had one of the worst transfer window. People expect miracles, while I expect Ole to at least be backed before we judge him.

If we don't get the title this season hopefully the board will back Ole in the summer window and we will be a force to be reckon with.

Guys, don't mess the vibe up by calling out other posters. Right now we need a united front in our support of the team and club. Glory glory, onwards and no looking back.
No need for that
Oh there is, believe me. There's been a couple of posters that have consistently been shit posting pure negativity surrounding Solskjaer and anything he does, one of them was banned this year for doing so. They've all gone extremely quiet now, despite months of screaming from the rooftops about not being good enough.

After the amount of shite they've posted in the last year, they don't get the luxury of being left alone while we're top of the league halfway through the season.

Just imagine what could have been if we could have signed his targets.

Definitely the best since Sir Alex retired.

He's doing better against the lower teams i will give him that but i still need to see more in the big decisive games. So far this season we have been shit against spurs, chelsea, arsenal and city. With two liverpool games and arsenal away as well this month that will be the real marker of where we are.

Ole deserves credit for that second half. In the first Burnley were pulling us into a shithouse exercise which they would have easily won through experience

Instead we came out second half and started playing football around them and they couldn't cope and couldn't escape their own half.

It would have been easy to make subs at 0-0 (eg Greenwood for Rashford and maybe telles for Shaw to ping into the box on the left)
Instead he trusted the players and we got the lead. The players did kinda scramble the last five minutes or so which worked in burnleys favour as we kept surrendering the ball and we weren't calm to continue our passing. We rode a bit of luck with their half chances but we deserved that win

And now after our Anfield clash the worst we will be is level on points with Liverpool after half the season

I dont know about that. Entire last season we were the "game raising cnuts" while we dropped points vs the likes of Sheffield and Burnley.

I agree that out record in the big games this season needs to improve. Hopefully it does so at Sunday

I mean before this year we were very good record wise against big teams. But I much prefer how we go about it now with going toe to toe with them instead of just trying to defend well and hit a counter

Second half in particular I thought we were fantastic, I was a bit worried when I saw the team but yet again, Ole got it spot on.

did we go toe to toe with city? chelsea? arsenal? spurs? Please remind me. From what i see, we're playing very similar to how we were last year but teams have sussed out our main threat is on the counter and have been less gung ho themselves, cutting down on the space and leading to the two 0-0s and arsenal could have been a 0-0 too.

Why do people believe we were interested in Longstaff? He was clearly just a newspaper article and not a player with any sort of individual ability that Ole could play his game on.
We did seem to want him as a fairly cheap squad player that we thought might be able to take the step up. I don't know why people keep bringing up the 50m though, as the instant Newcastle gave us that price we obviously laughed in their face and told them to forget about it.

I'm not sure really, maybe we did - but does every internet or newspaper thing come out as our genuine interest?

Longstaff seems like a story based on a bit of hype of a young english player at the time and not much more in it.

I’m not one to say ‘I told you so’ and so I won’t say ‘I told you so’ even though it is tempting to say ‘I told you so’ I won’t.

Depends how you define “big games”. I think matches against LFC, City, PSG are just as important to players than different kind of semis.

So in my view it’s wrong to say we have not performed good enough in the big games under Ole. In my view we’ve showed that many times, perhaps not so much this season.
