This nonsense that United fans genuinely don't want Ole to succeed. 
I'm yet to meet a single United fan who doesn't love Ole, the guy is responsible for probably my favourite memory as a United fan. That being said, bar a great run of form, this has been a very dissapointing season, where at times, our football has been extremely predictable and dull.
He, along with this squad of players, have proved feck all. There's a long way to go for everyone and the jury is still up in the air for me. There's nothing I would love more than for him to close the gap and be successful with us, but the quality of coaching in this country is next level and I still have my reservations that is he up to task of matching that.
There's a lot to be excited about and a lot of positives, but there's just as many negatives or things to be concerned about at the moment too. He's spent a good amount of money and now has a team that should be doing far better than it has done, progress needs to be seen and if it isn't, I really don't care who is in charge, they should be judged as manager of Manchester United, not on their past.

My whole reason for signing up was to help back Ole and try to get positivity across in what is looking like a decent start to a long rebuild, thankfully it's paying of as a minority of us predicted.
Feels like United again, as in, the connection with this squad is deeper than it has been since Fergie's time and I believe that should be an important factor.

Mods - is there genuinely a chance that people on the right side of history on that poll can have some kind of note on their posts to ensure they are recommended reading.
We know the football forums can be pants at times, but we’ve got a list there of the posters on this site with far superior footballing knowledge than those around them.
It worries me that a post by me and a post by others is seen on the same level. I suggest that when you scroll down a thread and someone from that list has commented you make their font bigger and maybe a little threadmark that says something like “RedCafe’s recommended poster.” Maybe people like Devilish could have training from posters like me of footballing acumen?

Think you're getting ahead of yourself here. History is still being written. Ole hasn't yet arrived and neither have we as a team. We still need to finish strong and make a good account of ourselves in the latter stages of the cups even if we don't win any of them. We may also need CL to solidify Sancho joining and Pogba staying. With City's ban we should make it. That's a modest minimum expectation no one can call harsh. It's still early to pat ourselves after a good run of form. The recent unbeaten run is also a step in the right direction with room for improvement in the league (4W 3D) especially as the streak is somewhat inflated by a very good run in our cup games.

Unfortunately I still can't see Ole taking us to that next level. Loved him as a player but manager wise he just doesn't seem to cut it for me. Granted United are beginning to improve again but he can only take us so far. He's no Pep or Klopp, sooner the hierarchy see that the better.
Like it or not Ole will be here next season. With everyone fit and the amazing addition of Bruno we do actually now look like a good team that can challenge next season. The grass isn’t always greener. LVG and Jose both failed to bring the title home.
The big plus with OLE is he has man united running through his veins. Im warming to him as a manager and not sure changing him (for who) would be wise right now.

What's the next level in your opinion? Would you say that there are clear green-shoot's of recovery at the moment or do you think we're no better off than we were a season or two ago?
I'm guessing he means challenging for the title. Ole has undoubtedly done brilliant in clearing out the deadwood and bringing in players that genuinely want to be here, also improving a few players. It's clear as day to see the work he's done in that regard. However challenging the likes of Klopp, Pep and Lampard who he looks to be losing out on in the top four race will be a different story. That's ultimately the next step now that his starting eleven and squad is taking shape in his image.

Well he's beaten most of them already so to suggest he doesn't know what he's doing is a bit disrespectful. Ole's also proven that he can sustain a title challenge in Norway, and I know people like to talk that achievement down but winning a league takes consistency over a season, the players are just a different level. Ole's already proven he can do all the things people are saying they don't think he can do.
Also, 7 games left and you're writing off the top 4? Have you seen Chelsea and Leicesters fixture list? I hope our squad don't haven't got that attitude.

Don't think we're out of the top 4 race at all. Leicester are in free fall and we still play them. It'll come down to the last fixture with the winner of Leicester v United claiming top 4 imo.
What I find interesting is that after 54 PL games there is only a 2 goal difference between Jose and Ole. Jose' team having scored 86 League goals and Ole's team scoring 84. The big difference has been the defense, Ole's Team has leaked in 19 more goals than Jose. Now that we're starting to look formidable in defense again this record should improve a bit hopefully.
I'm not writing off top four saying in terms of races, he seems o he losing out on catching Chelsea again. Leicester will probably be caught.
Challenging for the title over the next two seasons will definitely be a different animal, don't thibk anyone can deny the jury is still put on that.
I think the top 4 thing is being viewed through a narrative to be honest. Chelsea were in absolute free fall before the break and it was looking that United were going to move above them with ease. The break has allowed everyone to get fit again so we can't really complain about it but Leicester are poor and seem to be levelling out to their ability and Chelsea have arguably the 3rd of 4th best squad in the league alongside us.
We don't need to worry about what anyone else is doing as long as we look after ourselves, continue bringing in the right players and win our games. Hell, we won the league once under Fergie while only winning one game against the top 4 all season. I'm confident Ole can keep our players motivated over 38 games.

United = 31 goals conceded this season. Second to Liverpool who are in first place with 21.
Also only conceded 3 in the last 13 games.

I don't look at it in 13 games, I look at it as a whole. Prior to those 13 games he had a awful run. We need consistently which is something I don't think he has in his locker (( at least yet anyway ))

He need’s to stay at least two more seasons. The reasons are crystal clear. Stability. Long term transfer strategy. Excellent man management and great diplomatic skills.
With results comes self confidence and calmness. Right now we’re back where Sir Alex left the club regarding internal stability. Gone are days with to much negative publicity, focus on individuals instead of moving this giant club forward.
Right now the whole club, supporters and players needs to back him 100%. We‘re probably are only two or maybe three quality players away from a title challenge.
If we can get Sancho everything can happens. Lets not ruin this now

Yeah, situation dictates he should stay for now. Post-Bruno, he's doing a good job but worrying it's highly dependent on individual players. Pre-Bruno, it's just meh, okay.. just fine enough, barely pass, if we consider the whole overall picture. Surely a United manager should try and do better. Thankfully this season, it's not just us that were struggling due to the transitions of newer managers so that helps a lot, the league points wise.
No idea who/which manager should be considered in the future... I don't get this "loyalty with the managers" thing many fans love to speak of. I know SAF also spoke the same thing.. sort of. But nontheless, managers nowadays tend to be short term, about 3-5 seasons at most, so if the time comes where Ole can't manage the situation well any further... when it's time to go, it's time to go. Managers or Players. I just hope the next manager knows what he's doing.

We were without Pogba and Rashford. We had terrible luck with injuries at the beginning of the season also. We haven't had the players to be anywhere near competing for anything over the last couple of seasons but now we're making good signings and players are clearly getting better.
We're still a young team who, outside our first 11, look pretty average. Another summer of good recruitment if we can, will cement us as a top 4 side and we can kick on from there. Rome wasn't built in a day, Klopp has had 5 years at Liverpool before they won the league, it isn't easy and it isn't given because the fans want it.
As I said before, Solskjaer has won league titles at Molde and won league titles as a United player. He knows what consistency and being focused is about more than 95% of the PL managers.

He had good intentions with starting those players because you would need them soon.
But, I think he overdid and we lost the momentum even with all 6 subs.
Hope he learns that now and that he ain't SAF to pull something like that and gets away with it.

I think he's not able to work effectively with average quality players.
He should realize this and not put too many of them in the starting 11. Some managers are able to raise average players' level, but it's not his strength.

Rotation is needed and was expected. But you don't change complete attack with two of them out of form for a long time. Start stronger side and then make substitutions.
But i didn't refer to that. Extra time setup was pretty bad. No plan whatsoever. If that was a plan then it was wrong.
