Old Game Classics - Let's have them!

yea that game was class, you could build the ground up and stuff. you were chairman aswell

A classic games thread and not one mention of SWOS, Bomberman or IK+?

Ihni binni dimi diniwiny anitaime.

Sensi was mentioned on page 1 already

Not that it needed to be mentioned really as it goes without saying that it's a classic

IK and IK+ were class

Some great ones mentioned though.

Don't be a prick again. I assumed IK+ was mentioned, however I said Way of the exploding fist which was not only better, but first.

Also I have Bomberman, SWOS, Speedball 2, Prince of Persia, Rez, Street Fighter 2 and Worms on Xbox Live if anybody ever fancies getting their arse handed to them. ;)

Golden Axe, Double Dragon, Doom, Gauntlet, Missile Command, Pac-Man, Paperboy, Smash TV, Yie Ar Kung-Fu and a few more are aslo on Live arcade but i've not played them

They are classics not yet mentioned and you should get them on live!

One of the all-time unsung games on the Spectrum was Dynamite Dan (and it's sequel).

Anyway, spec-chums. Get over to http://www.worldofspectrum.org/ for all your 48k gaming needs. It's completely hatstand!*

*obscure "Your Sinclair" reference for the oldies

I had way of the expolding fist, very good game but IK+ was better.

Play it now here online.

It's hard a nails with a keyboard though.

also has anyone mentioned populus?

I don't think so, I was going to (on the SNES), but was a bit busy tonight! Not sure why though, should have been here posting more of my game collection, it would have been more interesting...

R.I.P Sega Master System :(

and there was some game that started with some knight in armour in a cemetary and he could throw axes at these ghost things and if he threw enough at a tombstone he'd get an extra life or something

Weaste you definitely did not have a childhood.

Streets of Rage, used to love that game.

The Eidolon was a cool game. Collect magic missiles and kill the dragon.

One of the First Person game created on 8-bit machines.

Graphics were awesome.

Exploding Fist looked almost exactly like International Karate... Ballblazer was great.

R-Type on Commodore 64... awesome game, also.

That's a lot of games. I didn't even know half of them existed.

It was quite easy to write a game in 80's on 8-bit machines.

Even one person with good abilities could do that like in Montezuma's Revenge (classic platform game).

my lord did they really look that bad?

uniracers was one of my all time favourties, from SNES days.
