Obtainable Attackers

I'm not sure if we need an overhaul. But for us to be a top team, challenging at all front, I think we need:

To start playing Herrera in CM alongside either Schweinsteiger/Schneiderlin/Carrick.

Sign a good striker.

Sign a fast, tricky winger, who has end product. - Mertens, Insigne, Carrasco, Feghouli, Ibrahmi

Sign a creative playmaker (no. 10) who has a enough pace to be able to bring the ball forward quick enough to start a counter attack. - Griezmann, Barkley

Sign a box to box midfielder to compete and play with Herrera - Barkley (think he is a world class B2B in the making), Naingollan, Krychowiak (copy and pasted)
 
Aubameyang's pace would be a breath of fresh air in our team, but equally the addition of Reus or Griezmann would be attractive and solid options. Both can be electric on their day. Unless their current clubs achieve great things, I'll be surprised If none of these guys are snapped up by an 'elite' club in the next 12-18 months.

I think we should forget about Kane at the minute. As much as I would welcome him I can't be arsed with the Daniel Levy transfer battle. Plus while Spurs are still doing well and Kane is the main man I'm not sure he will want to leave just yet. Let's not forget he's still got another 4.5 years or so on his contract.

Ultimately I just want some pace in our team and someone who can have a shot now and again rather than the absolute dross attacking play we're currently serving up. Surely the scouts are able to identify an upgrade on what we currently have.

Lukaku to MUFC: We pay £25M
Lukaku to MUFC & Rooney to Everton: we pay £40M

In other words we we will need to pay money for someone to take Rooney off of us.
