Music Oasis reuniting for tour in 2025?

good news lads we all get to spend another few hours getting mugged off by ticketmater

Liam: "OASIS are back your welcome and I hear there ATTITUDE STINKS good to know something’s never change.”

It's like reading the ramblings of a 66-year-old gammon on Facebook. Totally illiterate.

Remember seeing him on Jonathan Ross (which i am eager to point out I don't usually watch, I think i was in a hotel and couldn't sleep)

Just sat there and mumbled a 2 or 3 word answer to every question, then walked off with his money. JR was making awkward jokes about how hard it was to interview him.

Absolutely no point him being there. In his mind he probably thinks it makes him look cool but it's boring as feck. Suppose you'd have to be when you follow city.

Generally don't get the hype but the people want what they want I guess.

When reunion tours go bad. Should do a sweepstake for how many shows Oasis get to play before the same thing happens.
What an embarrassment. Most of these people would probably have been utter cnuts even without the fame and money, but the fame and money (and perhaps the drugs) makes them so much worse. It must be unbearable to be close to them in their personal lives.

Yeah, they’re mostly damaged people. Even before the rock and roll lifestyle damages them even more. But damaged people often make the best art. So you kind of have to put up with that.

My favourite bit is the "entire tour could have sold out many times over"...

Oh, so the jokers running this tour did know that from the off. So announcing just 4 Wembley dates and letting the bots hoover up the tickets was all part of the plan.

Shambles

I hate these two pricks

I can guarantee you that the face value US prices will be far more than the UK prices.

My prediction would be floor and lower tier will be at least $500 each. US face value may even be more than UK dynamic pricing.

Ticket prices for concerts and sports events in the US are insane.

A ticket to sit lower tier behind the posts for the NY Giants v Eagles game in NJ would cost $299+ taxes and fees, face value. That is 7 x what the equvalent ticket would cost at OT.

Yeah I can imagine that being the case. Was in NY a few days ago, and I was amazed at just how expensive everything was - the accommodation, the food, the drinks, the cultural stuff, the entertainment... there wasn't a single niche where you'd think "oh yeah, that was a good deal". I mean it's always been expensive, but I'd been to the US 2 years ago and it didn't shock me as much as it did this time.

I agree. I live here and get that shock every time i get a bill at a restaurant or check out at a supermarket.

Everything has taken a bump in price in the US since COVID. Understandable to some extent because of supply chain issues and companies trying to claw back lost revenues post COVID. Businesses have learned that people can and will pay the increased prices, so why would they drop the prices? A massive reason as to why Trump has a very good chance of winning in November. People here reminisce fondly about what prices were 4 or 5 years ago, without considering the context as to why.
Plenty of discussion about this in the US Politics or US Elections posts in the Current Events forum.

Anyone trying for Oasis US pre-sale tickets?
Got a code and the pre-sale starts soon.

Next door neighbour managed to get some for New Jersey, and then tried to swap us for our Wembley ones. I was tempted for about 5 seconds. Get a holiday too. But chose to remain a commutable distance

AU dates announced. No Perth dates. What a shame as I have far too much money looking for something to waste it on.

As an alternative I can listen to Wonderwall on Spotify while calling myself a cnut and punching myself in the face. Pretty much the same effect for free.

In the end it will be cheaper for UK fans to buy a US ticket and fly there to see them. I don’t know how many cities they will be playing there but I just don’t see them selling out multiple nights in cities that are not NYC, LA etc.

Managed to get tickets in the additional dates they announced for £75 a pop. Hopefully they announce more dates for those that missed out.

Tickets just gone on sale for the Australian shows to mass outrage at the prices with general admission spiking well over A$300 for most people.

180 bucks to get nosebleeds at marvel.

I reckon they could have sold out the MCG or at least gotten 80k

The Australian Government have just announced that they are going to ban dynamic ticket pricing.

Ridiculous it's taken this long.

That's just a political football thing, this has been happening for years. Shows how huge Oasis really are though, that it takes a true giant to show this up for what it is. People didn't give a shit when it was happening for TayTay for example.

Insane luck I suppose!! When I missed out on the first round of dates, Ticketmaster contacted me to give first dibs on the added dates at Wembley. Then when I went through the process I was shocked to actually find them being sold for face value.

Imagine being next to someone who paid 2 grand to be there

It was actually Greenday tickets that triggered this, which spiked far higher than Oasis, to about 4 x face value or more. Oasis tickets doubled mainly. Which is still ridiculous. Taylor Swift tickets earlier this year started the outrage.
