I love this place
They're willing to admit they made a mistake in their hire as manager, yes I think that a board willing to see the writing on the wall is one that is better run than ours who will cling to out manager for anything because they are dead scared for giving him a 3 year deal a few months ago. It's about the mindset of the club. They're willing to actually make decisions while ours just dithers around living in a different century
I'm not going to defend the Glazers & Co because obviously we could do far better. But Spurs aren't a shining light to compare to these days.
They made a decision - not to sack this week, it just wasn't the one you wanted. It has not yet proved to be a bad one.
Oh they're certainly not a bastion of how to run a club, I just think they're better than us.

I don't believe he's a bad manager. He did a solid job at Wolves, why would he suddenly be poor overnight? It's a relatively short period that he's been at Spurs, no way near enough to so categorically write him off.
The more pertinent question is of course whether he was a good fit for Spurs. He probably was not because he was highly pragmatic at Wolves. So to go to a club where the fans have pretensions that they're going to be playing expansive football despite an upper mid table squad with a sprinkling of quality was strange from the club. Also, the key ingredient within that quality is AWOL.
But it's not as if he was first choice, Spurs seemed out of great options. If you've gone through the prime candidates and you're left with the also rans then you still have to appoint somebody. There's still a reasonable expectation they can do a job, but so far it's just not worked out.

Moyes is doing an amazing job at West Ham & I'm sure a lot of clubs wish they had taken a chance on him.
A team like Wolves will but into a more defensive mentality if it brings results more easily than a Tottenham will.
Wolves were spending money and getting in some really good players, but at the same time, because of their position, it was easy to attribute their ascension to his managements and tactics.
I think he got lucky at Wolves with the calibre of player they were bringing in and this helped the lack of questioning of his negative setup.
I think it’s clear the Spurs players aren’t buying into it.
It would be best for all parties to cut ties and Nuno go somewhere where players will buy in to a really defensive setup.
Spurs should go for Hassenhutl. It would be a more natural progression of styles from Pochettino and with a midfielder or two, I think they have the players to make it work.

He’s clearly a decent manager, but taking over after Mourinho and then having to deal with the Kane saga has been a real downer for him, you can tell.
Be interesting to see who Spurs go for if they replace him - which I think they will.
He'd gone a bit stale at Wolves, after their initial splurge on Portugal quality players and being a nightmare for the top teams to play against.
To then go for him seemed bizarre, and was a clear desperation after all the top choices said no.
Very difficult next appointment though.
Not sure who they'd get to replace him, as I'd imagine anyone of note with a job will not be interested at this point in the season , or anyone without one will be keeping their options open with the United job potentially there for the taking at some point soon.

Cheaper to sack the manager rather than reinvest in the squad. Poch came out and said they needed a painful rebuilding process, then got the ass. Managerial merry go round will appease the disgruntled supporters momentarily as some other manager(scapegoat) jumps in the hot seat. Only to be sacked in 6 months time because the team is not performing.
When at the end of the day they just do not have the quality in the squad. And some players careers have just stalled there, it would of been better for all parties had Alli and Winks moved on, as well as selling those players who want out(Kane and Ndombele). But then Spurs need to buy players, and they dont like spending money. Unless it's on an urban development project, seems Levy is quick to fork out money on any and all construction projects.
Nuno got lucky in those first couple of games, there is no way they should have won vs Wolves. Wolves absolutely battered them but just could not put the ball in the back of the net. Looking over the stats Spurs should probably be around 15th or so.
