Worst thing about this is they recorded and were happy to leak it out knowing that woman's family will hear of it, the more made of it the worse it will be for the family too. They don't need this shit.
That's just what I was clarifyingThe cnuts in that room singing the song?
He’s a parliamentary mouthpiece. I’m sure the OO and big Billy up the road told them to go through Jamie and he’ll sort itReckon it's a pisstake? He condemned it this morning, would be odd for those boys to then go through him to apologise for their actions and if you were genuine you wouldn't go anywhere near him
I despair for the future of NI
Who specifically is these cnuts? Because it definitely isn't all unionists if that's what you're applying
I despair for the future of NI
well that’s the other thing - it’s clearly been doing the rounds in those circles for quite some time
Probably not long after it happened.
Ive been in situations in NI and in the US when it was assumed everyone was either protestant, catholic or in the US case
okay with racist talk. Its really unsettling to see how bitter and hateful people get when they think they are in a safe environment to be that way.
Tbh I’ve changed my stance as I’ve gotten older. Plus I’ve lived in Dublin for about 18 years and I’ve realised everyone’s shit smells the same.it really doesnt have a future mate, unless its a part of a whole Ireland on which I am not sure where you stand really

Westminster doesn’t give a crap about NI either.
Politicians in the North, both sides have played the same cards for the 30 years I’ve been paying attention, for their own good not ours.
so it’s time for a reset button. If that’s as part of an all-ireland I wouldn’t be against it. However it would need to be delicately handled. There are 2 sides to be every story.
how the feck they disengage the mechanisms though.. health, education, welfare, work.. civil service. Huge job. No one should financially lose out because off any change

It's toxic I've mean I've been in places and situations where after so many drinks you start singing songs.
In some cases you get some people singing rebel songs and in some cases loyalist songs depending on what circles I was moving in.
I'd like to think if it ever got to a point of songs that personal and hurtful there would be some people going hold on none of that and putting an end to it.
They are a bunch of knobheads, it’s disgusting. Equally as disgusting was that someone didn’t tell them to sit down and shut upTbh any rebel songs I was exposed to growing up never gloated about peoples deaths. I dont see how anyone could gloat about something as tragic as a newly wed woman being murdered on her honeymoon. I mean how is it even a thing?
Is it because of who her Dad was? They hate the GAA so much they would sing about a girls murder? Absolutely fecking sickening
It’s a shame this song will go viral amongst dickheads now. There will be flags in print as we speak and I guarantee you there will be a few pics of her on bonfires come the 12th.Tbh any rebel songs I was exposed to growing up never gloated about peoples deaths. Hopefully decent loyalists won’t be scared enough to tell them to cop the feck on.

Maybe I'm being naive, but I'm just not sure with this one. I really hope notUnfortunately you are probably right.
The backlash from this will just spur some of these types of people to sing it more because it's clearly touched a nerve and all they want is to antagonise the other sideMaybe I'm being naive, but I'm just not sure with this one. I really hope not
Wait.... what?Didn’t say they were harmless, where did you read that? I was giving context to anyone reading.
I don’t think this thread is heavily nationalist, it’s clearly evenly mixed.
Why the shock? There’s clearly about 4/5 from each background even posting on this very debate.Wait.... what?
Hasn’t been around long. Some boy in Greysteel made it up and had a few boys visiting his house a few days ago because of itwell that’s the other thing - it’s clearly been doing the rounds in those circles for quite some time
Seems very unlikely, considering Greysteel is 97% Catholic..Hasn’t been around long. Some boy in Greysteel made it up and had a few boys visiting his house a few days ago because of it
He’s in the other 3%! It’s one hundred per cent true sir, it’s not a law of averages.Seems very unlikely, considering Greysteel is 97% Catholic..
Okay. Where or how did you hear this? He’s in the other 3%! It’s one hundred per cent true sir, it’s not a law of averages.
Brother in law in local GAA club. It involves a few GAA members and apparently the Derry board have an emergency meeting planned over it.Okay. Where or how did you hear this?
I’ll believe it when I see it, seems extremely unlikely.Brother in law in local GAA club. It involves a few GAA members and apparently the Derry board have an emergency meeting planned over it.
Word is now it’s more of a Derry v Tyrone thing that (more) dickheads have taken on as their own rather than a unionist singalong from scratch.I’ll believe it when I see it, seems extremely unlikely.
The rivalry would be strong between Tyrone and Derry but wouldn’t go that deep more a dislike, sounds like someone is trying to deflect blame here.Word is now it’s more of a Derry v Tyrone thing that (more) dickheads have taken on as their own rather than a unionist singalong from scratch.

Greysteel like every other place in NI isn't entirely one way or the other in the same way Dungiven has plenty of prods in it and Carrick has plenty of Catholics. Not saying it's anything to do with this but just a general observationI’ll believe it when I see it, seems extremely unlikely.

What a post !
so this was made up within the GAA according to the “word”?
I once saw Joe Brolly when talking about the Tyrone football team say “we.” Couldn’t believe it!Yes it's absolute nonsense I get lots of banter from Derry fans at work and out and about bit it's just banter and never remotely malicious
I would put my life on it that no Derry fan would ever sing that song.
Not even Joe Brolly at his worst mid rant world do anything remotely like that

Maybe not in numbers but certainly in context. If someone who had no clue what was happening in NI came into this thread they would think nearly all the blame lies on the protestant/unionist/loyalist side because its being mostly portrayed as a one sided story. Protestants bad bad people. Why the shock? There’s clearly about 4/5 from each background even posting on this very debate.
I guess im biased but looking from the outside It kind of has been in recent years to be honest. Depends what your talking about but the DUP specifically are building up a pretty grim record. I mean an awful lot of the problems associated with brexit can be lay at their door. Blocking abortion services and being dinosaurs is another unpleasant characteristic. Holding the political governance of the country hostage for what, 4+ years at this point. They provide a lot of ammunition regardless of your background.Maybe not in numbers but certainly in context. I’ll give an example. On Easter Monday there was a Republican parade where petrol bombs etc were thrown at police. Zero mentions in this thread. Just wait until July.I guess im biased but looking from the outside It kind of has been in recent years to be honest.
