Nordic Ghost Yeti (Scandi Carroll) | Haaland at City

Hmm I would have to go re look at the numbers but they seemed to be much bigger then that to get to 815 or whatever number Ronaldo ends up at 850 or where ever he stops at

Well you don't...

815 - 20 - 12 - 86 - 29 - 20 = 648 / 16 = 40.5. Done.

16 + 22 would make Haaland 38.

He might be done scoring that number of goals by 33-34-35

Not a lot of guys are scoring the amount for goals Ronaldo did at 37 in the EPL

So I still think it’s a tall order, and that’s us assuming he does not get injured along the way and not counting into the fact Ronaldo will still be around for 3 more years give or take

Imagine we’d not gone for Ronaldo and got him instead. Position sorted for at least 5 years instead of having the most expensive player in the league coming off the bench and openly wanting to leave.
Your assuming Haaland would join United.

No need to change your argument, I ain't arguing for or against it. Just your numbers being off ;)

From what little I have seen of him, he reminds me of the late great Gerd Muller.
Incredible anticipation.
He is a goal machine that way.

As an aside I am curious about City letting Jesus go. He is still a top striker.
Pep that confident about Haaland?

They signed Alvarez too

Not changing it haha, your numbers are correct so thank you for correcting me ;)

Assuming City go the distance or thereabouts in all of the cups, which I'm sure they will, this kid is gonna score 50 goals this season if he stays healthy. He's just a monster.

I’m not so sure. What kept those other 2 at the top was their incredible record of not getting injured for 15 years at the top level.

For example for Haaland to beat Ronaldo’s all time goals record he has to score 45 goals a season for 16 straight years. That’s not going to be easy and who knows if he declined by 33-34-35.

He’s at a good pace but still very far off, it’s a long shot.
Sure, it’s a long shot. A very long one! But people making him out to be injury prone might have jumped the gun. There are natural reasons for him to have a reaction to his heavy training the last couple of years, putting on a lot of weight. What we do know, is he live like a munk, eating and drinking, training doing his mental gymnastics, just like Renaldo. Who knows where he will end up.

Yeah I'm just jesting. He will do well to even come close to them. Of course playing in a city team that creates so much will help him.

How to stop him? I suspect teams will double up against him or man mark constantly, and stop crosses from coming into the box. He scores a lot in the box, less from outside the box so if he is man marked and no crosses come in I think it is possible. No player is undefendable. Even Messi.

Messi at his peak was undefendable. He would always score or create.

Keeping Haaland from scoring is very difficult. It is the only thing he offers, but he probably is the best in the world in it and will be in the future. He is a machine built around scoring.

Haaland to Barca, Mbappe to Madrid, think it's destined to eventually happen. I know people will say Perez keeps a grudge vs Mbappe but let's be honest, nobody is turning this level of talent down.

Haaland is an absolute machine.

Sounds like a good deal to me. Haaland seems like a far more likeable guy than Mbappé too. Did you notice the standing ovation that Haaland received at the Camp Nou during the ALS charity game a few weeks ago and his reaction to that? It was very telling.

I cannot post links yet but write “La gran ovación que se llevó Haaland al ingresar al Camp Nou” to see the video of what I talked about.

From what I know he is really fond of Spain and there is hardly a better package than Barcelona anywhere in Europe in terms of absolute top clubs. The living standard, climate, natural beauty, Barcelona as a city, your typical Mediterranean lifestyle, the Mediterranean Sea next door, the many exclusive cities and towns next to BCN such as Castelldefels, mountains, lakes, rivers and forests next door, Pyrenees and Andorra next door (skiing and mountaineering - he is a Norwegian after all), great local cuisine, nightlife etc. The complete package in other words.

By the time Haaland leaves City, if he does, the new Camp Nou will be ready (100.000 + capacity), Lewandowski will have left and the club will afford to pay him what he wants unlike this year. Hopefully no Tebas (madridista) around either to spoil the party.

Either that or this Endrick guy who could follow in the footsteps of Romário, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Neymar etc.

The most sure thing of a signing in Prem history? Particularly for a signing from a different league? I was 100% sure he would be a success in the Prem.

Someone from FIFA needs to check his body for Majin symbol. It could be on his arse and if it exists he needs to be banned. Football is for humans only.

You don’t stop a poacher. You stop the supply line and make him come deep. Because by the time he’s around your six yard box, it is usually too late. Easier said than done though.

He's going to break every record set by Messi and Ronaldo and rightly so, he's one of the players of all time.
He may end up as one the greatest goalscorers. As players? He can't touch them.

First Cassano, now Baldy. Tap-in merchant better watch out.

Guardiola's warning to Haaland with praise for Julian Alvarez: I'm surprised at how good he is

I know people are talking about Erling and we are pleased but Julian is an exceptional player."

We all talk about Erling (Haaland), but you can’t imagine how satisfied we are with Julián, ”he declared in dialogue with ESPN at the end of the duel.

Haaland is the kind of player I'd create in FM when I'm bored of my career save just to amuse myself at what a machine he'd turn out to be.

Just out of interest - why is it happened in City’s 2 draws in the PL?

He's going to be the greatest goal poacher of all time.
