Gaming Nintendo 3DS vs PS Vita thread.

Oh yeah, they'll do that if you're not careful!

Somewhat related, when I was a kid, I took a day off school, got up first thing in the morning, and decided to see how far I could play through the game in one sitting. Made it a decent distance too, about half a disc, give or take.

That's it, that was a fairly big pull factor for me. I wanted to play them and knew they'd be better experienced (for me at least) on the Vita as opposed to using PC emulators or whatever i could scrabble together to play them.

Mine should be dispatched any minute now, it can't be more tha. 30 hours before I get my hands on it.

I know you have to pay a tiny bit for the pokemon storage but it's gonna be so good for not needing a second system.

Sorry if I'm late with this.. but last week Sucker Punch hinted at an (Infamous) Vita title.

It's the one Playstation IP that I haven't played that I would love to - I've been thinking of selling my Vita, but this is (annoyingly?) making me hold out for more infomation..

http://www.joystiq.com/2013/09/06/rumor-infamous-coming-to-vita/

A single sentence uttered by a developer in a recent Q&A has spawned the rumor that Sucker Punch Productions' Infamous series will be making an appearance on Sony's Vita handheld.

At the 5:45 mark of the DualShockers interview above you can hear Infamous: Second Son director Nate Fox obliquely reference a potential Vita entry in the Infamous franchise when asked point-blank about its existence after misinterpreting a question regarding Vita-related functionality for Second Son. "Right now we're only talking about the PS4 game," states Fox. "I would love to talk to you about any Vita-related titles when, or if the time comes."

Was this a casual slip of the tongue or something more meaningful? VGLeaks sees the quote as evidence of an upcoming Infamous game in development for the Vita. "This statement sounds like Sucker Punch has been working on Infamous for PS Vita, however it could be just a project in an early stage, a test for that hardware," said the site.

The next entry in the franchise, Infamous: Second Son, is currently slated for exclusive release on the PlayStation 4 in Q1 2014. We've reached out to both Sony and Sucker Punch for more information.

So, i started FFVII on the Vita tonight. I've never played an FF before and i only played (what seems like) the very beginning bit of this one but i can already feel myself getting sucked in. Had to stop there as i didn't want to get too involved because i've got some bits i need to do tomorrow and only after i've done all that i can get to playing again. I did briefly try to play it on PC and really, between the PC one and this one there is no comparison. It's just way better on Vita.

You're in for such a treat. :D

Hrrrgh! Want this to exist, Infamous was such a brilliant game!

The new Infamous: Second Son I really want - come the spring I'll be wanting to buy a Playstation 4 just for that - despite never playing the others.

I'm hoping that a decent price and a good link between Vita and a PS4 which will undoubtedly sell well will push Vita sales up and as a result convince more studios to develop Vita games. We're still due some first party titles like inFamous, Gran Turismo etc. as well as Rockstar and Konami games.

Actually I had a look at the list of games already released for Vita and it isn't that bad although the system has been on the market for 20 months so 1 or 2 months intervals between good games are unacceptable honestly. 3DS has received far more support from Nintendo but with Wii-U struggling handheld market could become their prime focus soon so it's not surprising they are putting plenty of eggs in that basket already.

I'm waiting on my Pokemon X to be delivered to package-o-mat (I don't think it has a proper name in English), hopefully it will be there by 8PM because that's when I got to leave for the airport and I won't be back until late evening on Monday.

Yeah I'm really hoping vita is well supported with ps4, if it is I'm certainly picking one up, just holding off at the moment until I see how they work together.

All new games released on the PS4 will have remote play, so should be pretty good with the vita hopefully!

If they could make Gaikai work so that you'd be able to stream games from your PS4 at home to a Vita anywhere as long as you got WiFi connection it'd be stupendous.

Never mind Gran Turismo, Burnout! Even a freaking port of Takedown. As for Konami, it's simple, take every thing with the word "Suikoden" in the title, translate it to English, put it on PSN, take all the monies. ALL THE MONEY.

Not surprised about the 3DS, tbh handhelds should always be their prime focus, they're just so god with them.

Isn't remote play hardware now, do the developers don't actually have to do anything? Perhaps making the controls easily compatible with the Vita.

That'd be absolutely mindblowing.

Half an hour in I can safely say that Pokemon is still an incredibly brilliant game after all these years. Yay!

My only decision to make is whether to upgrade to XL or not. While the XL is the better machine, my current one was a gift and I'd feel awful giving it limited use.

I got both and use solely XL. If you don't find a standard one uncomfortable though and it was a gift as you say then you might not have the need to upgrade, it's a fine machine.

Wait a minute, so basically until the end of year we are getting new Layton, Phoenix Wright, Zelda and Bravely Default? I'm only not certain about Phoenix Wright because for some reason Amazon aren't taking pre-orders.

The comfort isn't much issue, but the big screen when reading a lot on RPG's and such is very handy.

Pretty much, Pokemon/Zelda/Bravely Default, my winter is covered.

I don't really play Layton or Phoenix Wright, but I'll get them for my mum.

 me too. It's awful, I just know I'm going to cave, I have a house deposit coming back next week.

There's no point resisting, it has so many great games you should get it as soon as possible. I think the price has actually gone up lately, at least here. I got my XL for £100 around half a year ago and they sell for £150 these days. I still got my standard white one lying around somewhere, I think I want to keep it out of sentiment.
