Nicholas Williams | Bilbao winger

Literally all he had, he was always super fast and pretty strong. I think you might be being sarcastic...

Not at all. Rashford has never been quick. He's a 7 out of 10 in body and mind.

Best player on the pitch by a country mile for me. We should be moving heaven and earth to get rid of Rashford and bring him in. Has electric and caused England a problem every time he touched the ball!

He’s absolutely what we need on the left. Someone who can be direct with pace and dribbling but is no slouch at slowing things down and keeping it. That in the left with the RW coming more infield and linking up is ideal.

Barely beat Walker once, if he didn't get that goal then he would have been toothless.
The first half for me was impressive in terms of link up play, workrate and touch even if he couldn't directly get past Walker who pretty much stopped him. He had the odd over hit cross but he's not just a one trick pony/speed merchant.

Shat myself every time he got the ball. Definitely the pick of that Spain team in attack. Yamal is frightening for his age but at this stage the pace and ability to scare defenders that Williams has would be a huge coup for any team. Immediately he opens up space because unless you double up he can rinse a full back. If playing for a top side it's not hard to imagine him scoring a lot more too.

The release clause is irrelevant if a player doesn't want to leave. He's on big wages so he's happy playing with brother in his local club

Which is precisely why I said we should attempt to sign him. There are always assumptions on here that certain players wouldn't want to join us. How could you possibly know that? He is open joining Barcelona, so surely his ambitions exceed playing with his brother in Athletic. He is on £170k there, and we could offer him £300k which is the same as Rashford and get rid of him. The project we got going and the rebuild might actually tempt him as well.

We could just offer him 200K and not go overboard? We obviously wont go for him as Rashford is here for life.

Really good, smooth player. Love watching him glide with the ball. His decision making and mentality is also advanced for a player of his type - doesn't force things, but doesn't hide either. Hardly anyone beats Walker in direct one-on-one battles but he didn't let that frustrate him, just kept playing and eventually took control. Also this doesn't really matter, but I like that he doesn't dive or exaggerate contact (from what I remember). A lot of this applies to Yamal as well.

We need to be all over him. Sell Sancho and Antony and get him in.
Absolutely.

What I like his attitude and maturity on the pitch. He’s not an elite dribbler but when he isn’t beating his man, he links up well and has the strength to hold it up and remain relevant.

Walker was scared and he is so good on the ball, very mature in his plays and takes smart decisions.
We really need to make an offer, send Antony the other way

I would gladly trade 3 - Sancho, Antony, and Rashford for just Nico, but nobody will want to do that deal on the other side, even though Nico has measly 50mil release clause...

Says a lot about what kind of overpaid under-performers we have accumulated in attack...

Move Rashford on and get this boy in.

Looks an elite talent. One of those players who looks effortlessly rapid, like his feet barely touch the grass. A shame we have a very high paid player in his position already.

There's a pretty big reason Bilbao won't want Rashford.

Sociedad fecked off their recruitment policy for John Aldridge, of all people. We can ask the question (or find him a Basque grandmother).

Barca after him. Not sure how many levers they need to activate for this. Well was always impossible to get him to United vut would have been super exciting

seems like a no-brainer signing at that price

I'd trade him for Rashford for sure

Be tempted to pay over the release clause and force Bilbao' hand. Slap 65 million on the table, he's the real deal.
He wants to go to Barcelona, like Yoro wants Madrid. Williams is willing to wait another season for Barcelona as his brother also plays at Bilbao, so he's in no rush.

He makes too much sense, which is why United won't even have interest in signing him, and we'll be going into another season with Rashford.

You don't know until you try.

I suspect he'll want to go wherever the fattest contract lies.

Everyone wants a shiny new toy everyday. He’s not better than Rashford ffs, at least not now. Marcus will definitely have a better goalscoring and assist season than him this year and for the next three in a United shirt

In what world are you living in? There is no "definitely" about Rashford. Time to wake up.

Nico Williams is much better than Rashford, and it's not really close. How deluded are you
