Detroit if Legace can handle the playoffs.

The Devils and Red Wings are the hottest clubs entering the playoffs (along with San Jose). I figure the West will come down to Dallas vs Detroit while the East is wide open, but I think it will be either New Jersey or Buffalo. Ottawa is struggling at the wrong time and Carolina isn't as good as their record indicates. The Sharks are my darkhorse and they could meet Detroit in round 2 which could be very interesting. Joe Thornton is a great player and he's totally changed that team.

I know considering the hype around him he should have better stats.
Thats true, but hes had injury problems this year so that probably the main reason why he hasnt been at his best. (You surely remember that he missed the Olympics aswell)

Well, actually Gretzky had the best "rookie" season in the NHL, but since he had played for Edmonton in the WHA the season before, he wasn't eligible for the Calder Trophy (the rule was later changed). But he did take home the Hart Trophy (MVP) in his first NHL season. He won the Lou Kaplan Trophy (top rookie) in his only WHA season.

78-79 WHA - 43 G - 61 A - 104 points - 72 Games
79-80 NHL - 51 G - 86 A - 137 points - 79 Games

So I'll be there. Rangers. Devils. Opening playoff game at Continental Airlines Arena.

Come on blue.

I was hoping the Rangers would avoid the Devils in the first round. NJ can be dangerous around playoff time.

Carolina will knock you out with 4-0...

Yes probably.

Caronlina in 5 is pretty much the best we can hope for but hey, you never know.
