Ottawa. We know how to beat them and they usually choke in the play-offs. plus they have lots of significant injuries.
Carolina is a team that has everything to win the cup and we should avoid them. They have a solid goaler and their forwards put a lot of pressure, playing their hearts out.

We have to finish either 6th or 8th...

Pretty much what he said, although I'm pretty sure Ottawa would beat us over 7 games.
 
yes an OT road win for the oil,shit we got detroit on the road next,hmmm having said that we've got a 2-1 season on them.i'll take an OT loss for the point right now.it's gonna go to the last game for 8th spot in the west,but i believe:devil: :devil:

You believe do you? Well this Oiler ain't got the guts to make any predictions, cept to say that I think the Wild have cost us the big show slot, in more ways than one. Our home form can also be attributed to the fact we are in this position and of course the biggest problem of the lot, the one thing that till the EIG get a backbone will not happen. Sack the coach! MacT just isn't cutting the mustard....

this is usual in the last 5/6 seasons for the oilers they're always fighting for 7th/8th place with a few games to go. yeah the wild have cost points twice very recently,but we should make it,the problem is if we do get the PO spot our nemesis awaits.we always seem to match up with the stars

The Wild have cost us more than you think, considering the Roloson has cost us points since he moved. This is someone brought in to be a #1, and has continued the failing of the Oilers goalkeepers. I'm serious though about MacT, he's a liability to the club.

We can beat the Stars if we get them in the Play-Off's. I'm still not convinced that we'll get into the play-off's with the Nuck's closing in on us. I'm well aware that the Oilers have fought for the 7th or 8th position for the last few years, but with the roster we've got, we should be looking at 4th or 5th.

all true and agreed with but our run in includes at home to bottom team st louis in the last game,that should clinch it

Budaj or whatever his name is actually started the game but got pulled off after coceding 2 goals on 3 shots. Theo took 3 on 16 shots, wich not very good either.

I'm glad to see he's still broken and you got the wrong end of the deal. That's what you get for 5,5 millions a year, enjoy. (no really, I wish him well)

Probably for the same reason we ended up trading Rechi,LeClair, Desjardins and some other guy who's name escapes me for Danius Zubrus.
 
Aebischer has been excellent in his last two games (against Ottawa) .

No Ovechkin is the sixth player to reach 100 points in his rookie season, however he can join Selänne as the only rookie to have scored 50 goals and have more than 100 points if he scores one more goal
