NHL Playoff's

Stars will win game 5, but game 6 is probably the end...Giguere's save with his skate is all about luck...he is playing amazingly right now...Arnott takes a stupid penalty that cost his team the game...I hope he is benched for game 5, Dallas wins, and then Arnott comes back to be the hero in game 6...I want a game 7 in Dallas...probably not going to happen...but who though Minnesota would come back down 3-1 to Roy and the Avs?

Stupid penalties is right. Gonna cost the Stars the series I think. Remember Hatcher and the stupid penalty in Game 2 when he used his elbow (again) which gave Anaheim the 5 on 3? feck feck feck. Cnuting Ducks.

Horrible that teams like Anaheim with their 1 goal wins and defensive shite go through. As someone pointed out, for the sport this is a nightmare. Especially as the americans love stars and Minnesota and Anaheim don't have them.

feck the yanks anyway Ahmed - let's hope the Canucks can do the Wild tonight eh?!

You wouldn't call Paul Kariya and Marian Gaborik stars?
And as for one goal victories--I think those games are much more exciting, especially since most of them have gone into sudden-death overtime.

Well RZ99, looks like the conference finals for us eh! :D :D :D

Mind you these two teams both know a 3-1 series lead doesnt always mean the team will go through. Eitherway, brilliant win tonight the whole of Vancouver was goin crazy.

Stayin a live, ah ah ah ah, stayin a live

Sami Salo has consistency problems and is 29--not exactly that young. Edmonton is a small market-team, probably would've lost Niinima to free agency. They had to get something back for him. It actually turned out to be a decent deal and helped them make the playoffs.

I agree.

With Wesley likely to return to Carolina, & Lumme being unreliabe, and berg being somewhat inconsistant all year, we need more defencemen.

The problem is the age of our team. Kaberle, McCabe, Antropov and Tucker are young, but who else? No one that is reliable. Sundin, Mogilny and Svehla are getting older, and I Belfour is getting really old. I personally would have preferred Iginla over Nolan, but alas, we got another expensive, "older" player. Not a good future unless some of our prospects (i.e. Steen, Stajan or Ponikarovsky) can pick up the slack.

I think Anaheim will win the West and then get bored to death by the Devils in the finals.

18:54 - I can't believe it.

Still don't know how the linesman did not see Brendan Morrow get high sticked in the face :20 before the goal. Should have been a PP to Dallas with about 1:15 to play.

Credit to the Ducks though...but the officiating was "inconsistent" throughout the series...how many times do we hear "we are going to crack down on obstruction" yet I counted 5 times in game 6 when Modano was pulled down and only once was a penalty called...

Just to tell you what I think Ahmed. I have only seen him in playoff games, so that limits my all-around evaluation. But, from what it seems, he is the type of player that drive opposition players crazy. He hits hard, crashes the net and is a general pain in the ass. He is a good skater as well. A type of player that won't be a superstar, and will never score a ton of goals, but just the type of player that every team needs. Honestly, if Ruutu was put up on the market, I am sure every team out there would try to get him. I would if I was a GM.

I think the Senators will beat the Devils. I think Ottawa has really found its form, and that all-around, NJ just can't compete. Brodeaur will need to be perfect all series long if NJ has a chance IMO.

In the West, I am still hoping that the Wild can pull out another comeback. I would love to see Marian Gaborik lead his team to the finals. This kid is going to be the best in the world.

Ruutu is a diver too...hard to imagine a player his size seems to fall when touched...I've witnessed some horrendous calls thanks to Ruutu's diving...he is a player that agitates...

I am suprised he gets to play a second in the NHL, even more suprised that he is still breathing after playing. When he played here in the playoffs he beat up the opposition goalie, not once but twice in the same serie against the same team. A bloody lunatic.

His younger brother Tuomo Ruutu though will be a very good player. Same attitude but a hell of alot more talent. Will probably move to Chicago I think to next season.

Jarko Ruutu & matt Cooke are some the best players in the league when it comes to drawing penalties, & driving the opposition mad!

Yes, Renberg is playing for toronto I think. Went home to Lulea for a year (because his former wife and kids lives there), was the swedish leagues MVP and moved back to the NHL as he got the chance to play with Sundin.

Sami Salo is a finnish defender. Very good IMO, fairly young. Got alot of playing time in Ottawa, was one of their main defenders and played during powerplay. Was traded last season to Vancouver. Another one of our best defenders was traded, Niinimaa from Edmonton to Islanders. Unbelieveably shite deal for Edmonton.

Add to that, Selanne didn't use his option on a 6m dollar / season contract from San Jose as he is ready to go down in wages to be able to win the SC. Would be nice to see him in a decent team again. Colorado perhaps, with Forsberg

I believe that Teemu Selanne will consider moving to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, and re-create the magic him and Kariya displayed for a couple years.

:)

Kristan and Dan you're crazy or prejudice against USA teams if you think the Ducks and Devils are boring...I've been watching most of the games and both teams have played the most exciting hockey.

Keep slagging the Devils and I'll drag Weaste in here. :p

LABOB, you just have to forgive dans . For one, a Yank (who will remain unnamed) kicked the living piss out of him in the Fantasy Hockey League Final. He sure as hell hasn't forgotten. So that hasn't inspired him to support American teams.

Besides, he is a bloody Red Coat living in the land of the Krauts. Which essentially means he's got to be slightly crazy. And when it comes to hockey, he just knows absolutely nothing. ;)

That explains everything...

The Minnesota-Vancouver game should e a good one tonight it's just about to start! :D

Marian Gaborik is currently, without a doubt, the best player in the world. Simply amazing.

Two weeks of great play does not make the player the best in the world...I would go with Forsberg, Modano, and Mario as the top 3...too bad the first two were knocked out and Mario will never see the playoffs while in Pittsburgh...

Thank you MrMarcello. However, on present form, Gaborik is the best player in the world. On present form, I just hope Forsberg and Modano having a good time golfing.
