Rumor starting that the Cardinals might take Murray at #1 and trade out Rosen to the highest bidder.

How would that work out? I thought he was going to play for the Oakland A's, surely he won't combine both sports professionally?

Don't know TBH, but Murray himself hasn't categorically ruled out nominating from what I gather.

I don't know how it would work if he does decide to nominate for the NFL draft. I imagine the A's would be pissed given they've already used a top ten pick on him.

I'd be surprised if it happens. Notwithstanding Kingsbury's interest in getting the guy he is most comfortable with, the Cards got shafted on the Bradford deal and wouldn't want to risk losing a second straight QB in consecutive years. That said, I'm sure the likes of the Giants would be happy to get a guy like Rosen.

Looks like a mess if he does tbh - he would have to return his $4.66m signing bonus to the A's and they would still retain his professional rights. The MLB would also need to approve his presence in the combine.

Won't he go to the sport where he could make the most money? I know Russell Wilson is also owned by some MLB team.

I have a soft spot for the jets.

So what do guys make of Adam gase?
As a Dolphins fan I'll have to say that I think Gase will fail in New York. I liked him at first in Miami, he got to a rocky start then we clicked and made a big push for the playoffs. Tannehill was playing his best football here and then boom he got hurt. Second season we have smokin' Jay Cutler as our quarterback and we were an awful 6-10 team. Third season we got to an excellent start with Tannehill starting again and then it quickly went down hill from there. Gase completely lost the dressing room here and ended up falling out with the owner Stephen Ross.

So yeah Gase definitely wasn't the offensive guru we thought we were getting but you can make the argument that he didn't have much to work with in Tannehill, Cutler and Brock. But the problem there is Gase was all in on RT and he brought Cutler and Brock to Miami. I think his problem is he's too stubborn and stuck in his own ways. When the defense was on the field he would sit on the bench drawing up plays for offense looking like he couldn't give a shit about how our defense plays. He allowed Matt Burke a guy who was out of his depth and nowhere near good enough to be a DC in the NFL run the defense himself. I'm not sure he really knows how to build his own staff either. I'm hearing that he's bringing Dowell Loggains to New York with him. Be ready for 20 bubble screens called a game. Overall I just don't think Adam Gase is head coach material.

One thing I'll say is good about Fangio at the Broncos is the potential for him to bring a few members of that Bears secondary with him. Bryce Callahan is an unrestricted free agent and would make a nice addition to give Chris Harris some help back to here.

“I think we’re going to visit all that. I think we have to look all the possibilities and get an evaluation of that. One thing that has to happen is we have to play better. Our great players have to play better, too. Again, when we’re going around and trying to assess blame—which we don’t, we’re trying to find solutions not assess blame. We’re trying to evaluate what went on and then find solutions. One of the solutions is that we’re going to need our core guys to play better. Von, he had a good year this year. Can Von play better? Yeah, I think Von can play better. That’s part of the new thing when that comes in with the next coach."

Quite a outright comment imo, esp in context with rest of statement.

Elway's comments and Miller's mon's response indicate otherwise. Maybe not a outright transfer...but that there's some fire behind the smoke.

No, there absolutely isn't. Actually read Elway's comments and not the nonsense that was spun off them. Also the guy he was talking to quickly clarified Elway's comments were not suggesting he'd trade him and Miller's mum quickly deleted her Instagram post.

It's complete and utter nonsense yet you posted it above as if it's some kind of confirmed offer.

“Gase is the first coach hired by Jets with previous head coaching experience since Bill Parcells in 1997 and the first coach with an offensive background hired by Gang Green since Rich Kotite in 1995”.

That’s a staggering statistic given the league.

It's not even rumours, it's some hack's opinion piece about theoretical trades. Miller is going nowhere.
I’d bite off the Eagles hand for that deal. Miller is 30 in two months. Wentz has 12-15 years left and will probably be elite.

In fairness I’m not sure I’d take it either if I was a Broncos fan.

The only thing that might convince me is that realistically Broncos are some way off competing for championships that keeping Miller isn’t that pivotal.

Having said that, losing 2 R1s significantly dampens the ability to get the necessary pieces on offence to support Wentz but also to replace Miller, and a relatively aging defence.

Assuming Wentz can stay healthy, he is certainly worth 2 R1 picks. As to Von Miller, he probably has one or two seasons to go before it starts to drop. This is probably the right time to cash in.
