Mahomes trusted his arm too much ala Brett Favre, but they were always up against it going into that last drive considering the yards they needed and time left. Still showed that he’ll be a great player, just needs to use this as a learning experience. Hill trusted his speed too much, should have let the punt go into the end zone, instead he wasted time and gained minimal yardage.

Great game, probably the best game of the season so far.

Wow... got to watch the highlights but the stats are something!

The ESPN commentary team really has to improve. The game was better with sound off.

Caught up with the game... wow!! Brilliant fun. Mahomes is special. I can’t wait to see what he does when he has more experience & reads game situations better.

That game was amazing. Two great young QB's just doing their thing.

BTW how does Kareem Hunt last until pick 86, and Tyreke Hill last until pick 165. Also Travis Kelce went undrafted, and they traded up in the draft to land Mahomeboy. Safe to say that they've scouted/drafted really went recently on the offensive end.

Andy Reid

Hill lasted as long because the guy is a complete monster and nobody else was crazy enough to let him close to his team. He beat up his pregnant girlfriend ffs. How come people have forgotten about this?

Is it Reid or does their GM and personnel people make the calls on the draft? Collective input?
I meant that coaching is more important than the raw talent. It would not have been surprising to see any of those guys flame out in another organisation.

His girlfriend sure did. They are engaged now.
Well, everything is ok then. Absolutely no problem there. I mean, no victim of domestic abuse would ever consider marrying the abuser. That would be unheard of.

Agree but hey dude, don’t overlook the also-very-young quarterback who was also on the pitch. Goff is proving that he is exceptional.

I don't watch much NFL but I just watched highlights from Chiefs Rams. Aside from from the couple of mistakes I have to say Mahomes is bloody good.

Has there been any rule changes? because I enjoyed that game way more than other games I've watched over the years.

Not really. Those offenses are just well manned and well coached. If you like basketball, you probably loved that game.

I enjoyed it, but I really enjoy good defense. That wasn’t quite on display last night.

Obviously I didn't know this, hence the question in the first place.

How elite do we see Michael Thomas as?

I mean I know he is a very very good WR, but is he in the top bracket a la Hopkins Brown Jones etc or a notch below (because Brees makes him look better)?

Afaic Brown is in the top tier on his own

I hate Brandin Cooks and that stupid face he makes

Hopkins is the only one who has done it consistently over the last few years with a non-HOF QB (Ryan is questionable right now though). Yeah Brees makes Thomas look better probably but same could be said about Big Ben and Ryan for Julio and Brown.

Imo:

Tier 1 - Jones, Brown, Hopkins
Tier 2 - OBJ, Thomas, Green

Odell Beckham is the best receiver in football alongside Julio Jones.

But he hasnt "done it" on the level of those other players.

Hopkins has 3 1200 yard seasons and 0 1000-1200 yard seasons. Brown has 5/1, Beckham has 3/0, Green has 3/3, Jones has 4/1.

Hopkins has had two 950's though, so he's been close. In his rookie season he had 800. Very impressive so far.

I’d wager most of them would be the same with guys like Hoyer Mallett Yates Weeden and Savage under center. Plus Brown has had the benefit that defenses have to account for Bell, while Houston hasn’t had an elite RB while Hopkins has been there.

Beckham has played with Eli and no elite running back. Green with Dalton and no elite running back. I think Hopkins is great but hes not on the first tier.
Yes and Beckham’s stats are also massively deflated because of that imo, put him on the Steelers and let Big Ben force him the ball the way he sometimes does with AB and OBJ puts up 1600/10 imo.

But fair enough, you can put a lot of them just a tier higher or lower, slim differences.

His agent's now whining about how the reporter violated his trust by reporting that he continues to be a complete cnut who beats his child.

The frightening part is many would side with Peterson in his stance.
Reading the comments under any article regarding a topic like this, is a sure way to lose any faith in humanity that’s left.

This is on par to watching Michigan State at Nebraska the other day. Think I'll take my dogs for a 30-min hike through the trails, and it will probably be 0-0 when I return around halftime.
