Cowboys winning in Atlanta was a pleasant surprise and a typical Falcons thing to do.
Can't help but at the Eagles. Eat that humble pie, Philly.
Hail to the Deadskins. Thursday's game is now for first-place in the East and a huge factor in how the division plays out and playoff positioning (if a second East club can make the post-season this year, doubtful though). NFC East winner probably ends up losing a home wild card game, or getting slaughtered at Los Angeles or New Orleans.
Bortles... here's the contract breakdown
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/jacksonville-jaguars/blake-bortles-14412/. He played very well against NE in the AFC title game last January so the extension wasn't too surprising considering the options available (outside Cousins not much worth the inflated market rate for QBs). Looks like they got him with a lesser 2018 cap hit but also with the probability of a shitload of dead cap money going forward if they cut him after 2018.
