NFL Thread 2019

sigh. What is up with the Giants man?
There were a lot of whispers around Jones, but it was chalked up to the family/coaching connection with the Mannings. Assumption being they could’ve just held back and got him at 17 or they were really just hoping for Haskins.

Stoops should’ve rocked the beard when he was still in Norman. Might’ve gotten him over the line for that second Natty.

Packers screwing up at draft...again. Who the feck is Rashan Gary?

Agreed. It’s like Ted Thompson never left or we’re still working off his notes where we draft based off measurables like size and 40 time rather than their production in college.

They reached on this pick. He definitely looks a project that could take a couple years to develop if at all.

You got a helluva defensive lineman
that's what I'm hoping. Quite pleased with the RB and Safety added as well. Now we just need the TE, which could be Irv Smith in three picks time, and the major needs will have been looked at. Alternatively we could go CB with someone like Greedy Williams and hope to pick up a decent TE on day 3.

I still can't get around the cardinals taking Murray at 1 , dumb teams can never achieve anything in this league. Talking of dumb teams , how do you take Jones at 6 . Seriously why not just trade down if you want him so much but the number 6 pick in the draft is madness

Can't understand why Elway would trade down rather than taking Haskins at #10. Flacco is not the long term solution at QB.

From what I've read, it seems like we got a good pickup with N'Keal Harry.

And of course the Seahawks picked a projected 2nd/3rd rounder and now own the 4th round.

How good is that Josh Jacobs guy? Weird to see the Raiders go for him, maybe a panic reaction after Beast Mode's retirement earlies this week?

I thought Damien Harris was supposed to be the better RB.

Jacobs is the more talented RB, Harris was a leader and an extremely reliable player.

Just seen Drew Lock didn't get selected. Wonder if he'll drop to the Broncos in round 2...

Falcons take two OL in the first round, going all out to protect Matty Ice this year and hoping it was just injuries that made the defence suck last year...

I wonder if Dorsey will trade up to get Greedy Williams now. Him and Denzel Ward would be some ball-hawking secondary to build from.

Punt. Next year is the time for QBs. Fill other needs and post a record crap enough to draft high again is the name of the game for now, unfortunately...

Hey, I'll settle for an edge rusher. I was terrified they'd pick a QB
Ditto! Mayock seems to have brought some sanity to the process compared to last year.

Interested to see what we do in 2nd round. I think we need another defensive player but i suspect we might go WR or OL.

Not a panic reaction, weve been linked with Jacobs all offseason. Jacobs is supposed to be a complete back, good in the passing game and also returns kicks.

What's your problem with Murray?

Help me make sense of this nonsense

You got two good players afterwards. Focus on that.

It was the smart thing to do.

Biggest issue with Cardinals is why not trade Rosen before the draft. Although I suppose if you start shipping him it would be locked they take Murray but I assume now it’ll be hard to get true value for Rosen.

Although read an article which said they might keep hold and trade him when some team somewhere takes an injury at QB and overpays, a bit like the Viking’s and Bradford.
