NFL Thread 2019

I am honestly still in shock. You have to try to be that fecking stupid I mean seriously. Josh Allen was available at 6 and if you really wanted jones you could have not him at 17. heck probably in the second or 3rd round. Next if you want a quarterback at 6 why not draft the best remaining quarterback in the fecking draft who is from New Jersey and is a FECKING GIANTS FAN!.

Daniel Jones had 58% pass completion IN COLLEGE and Haskins had 70%. 29 interception and 53 touchdowns in 4 years. Haskins 50 touchdown 8 interceptions.

It does not matter how you slice this it makes ZERO sense like at all. Hopefully he is not wrong about getting hit by a car because I dont know how else he fecks off from New York.

It is almost like gettelman and Nolan compete to see who can be flecking stupider.

With how I feel about NY sports, I really enjoyed this post. Thank you.

I swear if the Knicks get the first pick in the draft and DONT draft Zion I may be officially done. Like I am pouring myself a cup of bleach and sticking my head in a fryer.

Giants shit
Knicks shit
Sporting shit
Red Bulls shit

Do I suck at picking teams or something?

And just down the road in Boston, you got the Celtics, Pats, and Red Sox. You done fecked up.

Any Boston fan must be delighted because they are used to championships. I just hope the page begins to turn may 14th and then on draft day when I see "With the first pick in the 2019 NBA draft the New York Knicks select....Zion Williamson" until then I am just going to be depressed.

Want to know what's worse? If they really did not like Haskins (god knows why) they could have skipped get a QB this year since "Eli is still there guy" and they could have got Tua next season in the 2020 draft.

I really like Drew Lock as a second round pick . Broncos or Miami should be all over him
Terrible pick. Rosen was by far the best QB available unless the Cards management was being stupid with their demands (not implausible).

Using a 2nd here on a project and most likely extending your QB purgatory is shambolic by Elway.

That's utterly bizzare reasoning tbh. Rosen was hyped to be great as well and Murray is yet to play an NFL snap . As big as a QB is in NFL you definitely need other pieces . This franchise paid big money to Bradford, took Rosen 10th after using up a 3rd +5th plus own first to get to 10th and now took Murray 1 without even finding a trade for Rosen . Good luck to them with the possible hall of fame QB playing in this current roster
What i'm saying is evidently the franchise doesn't believe Rosen is their guy. They *believe* they made a mistake last season, and used this draft to correct it by picking a guy who has absurd upside if he pans out

Edit: so i see they did trade Rosen and somehow managed to get rinsed? Ok

I don't think they got rinsed. Nobody was going to pay a first rounder for him. At least I wouldn't invest that much in a player, who's franchise has given up on him after only a year.

Fears that Baldwin might never play another down again... :(

I disagree. It was all about timing.

But then I dont know how actively they tried to ship him pre-draft.

In my view they really fecked up to shambolic levels which only is presently being matched by the Giants.

What do you think of Rashan Gary? Have heard worrying things.

Hes got all the physical tools but he never had a dominant season. I think that's partly due to scheme (opposing teams would double him and Michigan was happy to use him as a decoy and free up Charlton, Winovich, Wormley, Gideon, Bush and Hurst. I dont think you have 7 members of the front 7 drafted in 3 years without Gary taking so much attention). The other part is that he lacks elite pass rushing movies and relies more on athleticism. Usually guys like that bust frequently at the NFL level because they no longer have superior athleticism. But his combine numbers suggest he might still retain an athletic advantage at the next level. I think he can be an important part of a great defense but wont ever be a pro bowl player unless he adds more pass rush moves.

Thank you. Not sure he is a great fit in Green Bay, but have faith Pettine will make something of him.

So the Vikings only picks offense, hopefully Zimmer was aware of it.

Dwayne Haskins was the first Big Ten QB picked in the first round since 1994.

current notable qbs in the league by conference:

ACC - Matt Ryan, Lamar Jackson, Philip Rivers, Jameis Winston, Mitch Trubisky, Deshaun Watson
Big Ten - Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, Kirk Cousins
Big 12 - Baker Mayfield, Patrick Mahomes
Pac 12 - Josh Rosen, Aaron Rodgers, Andrew Luck, Jared Goff, Nick Foles, Marcus Mariota, Sam Darnold
SEC - Cam Newton, Matt Stafford, Eli Manning, Dak Prescott
Non P5 conferences - Josh Allen, Andy Dalton, Joe Flacco, Carson Wentz. Ben Roethlisberger, Jimmy Garoppolo, Alex Smith

Heard that Gary was not only the top ranked DL recruit coming out of high school but was rated the top overall prospect, though the radio person did not mention what publication.

Ignoring the crazy combine performance, when you watch him on tape D.K. Metcalf looks really raw. Might be someone who will start being a big contributor in year 2 because he needs a lot of work. But I like what he has to offer, the speed he has will be useful but he needs to lean on someone like Baldwin to improve his route running, game awareness and more of the subtleties of the game. Good pick though.

Yeah, he wasn't really even the best WR at Ole Miss.

That said, Al Davis would've taken him at #4.
