NFL Thread 2019

So Rashan Gary has incredible physique but lacks production. Some say he was being played out of position and didn't get to rush the passer enough. Seems like a risky pick. Don't know what to think here. Savage has ridiculous speed for a safety. Looks great.
I would have liked a guard or tackle, but we'll see, I guess. Not at all what I expected.

He also played injured almost all of 2018.
Just read that. Refused to sit out the rest of the year, which is a good sign. Does he fit as a 3-4 end?

I think he projects more as a linebacker in a 3-4.
Thanks. Doesn't fill an immediate need, but should give us a great rotation for the pass rush.

I’m delighted with drafting Bosa, we have been desperate for a legit edge rusher for a couple of seasons.

Biggest issue with Cardinals is why not trade Rosen before the draft. Although I suppose if you start shipping him it would be locked they take Murray but I assume now it’ll be hard to get true value for Rosen.

Although read an article which said they might keep hold and trade him when some team somewhere takes an injury at QB and overpays, a bit like the Viking’s and Bradford.
You could argue that teams still after a QB (Denver, Miami) have also lost a bit of leverage if they are interested in Rosen, unless they really like Lock.

Perhaps but Denver went in for Flacco and Miami have Fitz. Both capable stop gaps. They’d only go for Rosen if they truly believed in him or if he comes at a good price.

He basically says there that he doesn't know what the feck he's doing.
That's the long and short of it, the man is a joke. Traded Odell for a packet of crisps and then decided to draft a gamble in a position they're are not in place to make gambles.

The only positive here is seeing the normally loud mouthed NY sports media at a loss for words.

There is just no fathomable justification for this.

Watch Haskins light us up twice a year now.

Ah fair point, i forgot about Fitzmagic. Would be surprised if he can repeat his numbers from last season.

Problem isn't with Murray but the franchise, they have so many problems and somehow they took a QB at 1 after taking Rosen . It's a sign of a franchise with no clear idea of what they are doing
Rosen appears to be ass, but even if he isn't, Murray's upside is too good to ignore. You do not pass on the chance to draft a possible top 5 QB for the next decade just because you drafted a guy who may or may not come good(but appears to have nowhere near that kind of potential) last year

Well that depends on your view of Murray. I have simply not watched him enough to know but I do wonder how much he is being hyped up because of what Mahomes did.

That's utterly bizzare reasoning tbh. Rosen was hyped to be great as well and Murray is yet to play an NFL snap . As big as a QB is in NFL you definitely need other pieces . This franchise paid big money to Bradford, took Rosen 10th after using up a 3rd +5th plus own first to get to 10th and now took Murray 1 without even finding a trade for Rosen . Good luck to them with the possible hall of fame QB playing in this current roster

The 1999 QB class was terrible bar McNabb (who was solid by not HOF worthy like he thinks he is).

I have no clue how Haskins will turn out, no one does. He'll get plenty of chances in Washington as we know Lil Danny Snyder treats his QB projects like sons. I liken Haskins to Smith - similar size, one-year of college production, etc. Fast forward Smith to today's pass happy spread offenses and he would be a top five pick again, probably more coveted than Murray.
